Golf IV R32 :: Vibrating Noise When Turn Right

I am getting a vibration when i turn right (its so bad the damn e brake button vibrates) and its gone when i turn left! Its not the tires and its not the wheel bearing.... My buddy says it could be the symptom for the haldex or the transfer case.... I just don't get it....how can something like that go bad...

Just came back from lunch and the car seems to be vibrating more than usual. Engine is making some weird knocking noise. I think I also smelled fuel coming from the car. Could it be the cam tensioner?

Car has been making da da da da da noise from the rear for the past week or 2. The noise is consistent with the wheel speed and I can heard it clearly when I am next to barrier or a truck or something the sound will pounce off it. I drop the car off, later they told me the drive shaft is vibrating a lot and it might go.

When I turn my AC to max. power (fan) the steering wheel and the entire dash board starts shaking and vibrating. Also one can hear a "deep" humming noise which seems to be coming form the fan/fans belt etc.

So a noise has come up in my Sonata. Sounds like it's behind the dash. Only happens when the car is idling in drive and the AC is on. With the slightest increase in rpm, it goes away. Doesn't happen in N or P. Sometimes goes away, but also sometimes gets louder than what I recorded below. I've only checked the dash and glove box so far. [URL] ......

My '01 Excursion gets a vibrating noise between 70-75mph. I've located it to the 2nd row drivers side seat. Only does it when it's in the upright position. I can hit the seat and have it make it briefly. But I can't locate the cause.

I just had a magnaflow catback installed a few days ago and on the way home I noticed a vibrating/tapping sound that happens only at 70mph and up. There were absolutely no noises before the exhaust install (the car only has 6,000 miles on it). The sound seems to be coming from within the dashboard or in the engine bay along the midline of the car.
The installer did have to yank quite a bit to remove the stock catback unit.

2010 TDI DSG 25k miles. Something I just noticed when I was coming off cruise control I went to cancel cruise by stepping on the brake pedal and noticed it vibrating quite a bit (kind of tickled). I tried experimenting with it on the way to work the next day. Seems to happen when the car is under power not coasting. Tires are at 38psi no vibration through the steering wheel or seat, car tracks straight.
My previous two cars were Subaru's WRX and Legacy GT and boxer motors shake a lot but I never noticed a vibration. This could have been happening with the Golf for a while and I just noticed now. I don't think it's the rotors as I was feeling around under the brake pedal with my left foot while accelerating with my right and definitely vibrating. I brought it to the dealer and they replaced the brake pedal carrier bearing/pin and it's a little better but still vibrating. Is this normal?

I am hearing a weird like vibrating noise when the call is in DRIVE during idle like at a red light or stopped position only. Noise goes away when placed in Neutral or Park. The cars gotta be in drive to make the noise... My car is a 1999 Passat V6 AHA engine code by the way, only 20K on it...

I have an 05 Passat TDI and I'm getting a vibrating noise, almost like a radio with too much base. It was mostly in the passenger mirror but now I'm hearing it from the drivers side too. It happens @ about 40mph without radio on and I can also hear the sound if I turn on a song with a lot of base to it.

I have a 2005 Chevy Cavalier and have been realizing that the ride has been getting noisier, but when I make a left hand turn ( or even turn the wheel 5 degrees or so to the left) it is much quieter. It sounds like a low vibrating sound and seems to shake the whole front end of my chassis. I can feel the vibration through the gas pedal, and it continues even when in nuetral or without the gas depressed. It is worse between 40-65 mph. Loose parts, misalignment, motor mounts, bad belts? And what it might cost to have this fixed?

Occasionally the car will make load grinding noise that sounds like a garbage disposal:

When this happens the gas pedal is also vibrating. It will go away when the car is stopped and may not return for a few days.

I have a honda crv 1999. There is a vibrating noise in the rear end every time I turn. I have had this problem for a couple of years. The reason I have'nt done anything about it was that my mechanic said it was an annoying noise but not dangerous...that he'd seen this in this type of vehicle many times. As it turns out my young neighbor has recently gone to school and become a honda mechanic so I asked him. He said that it was a simple fix...that I just had to change the differential fluid. When I told this to my mechanic he insisted that changing the differential fluid was a bad idea...that it might create problems that I don't have. My mechanic has always done well by me but the noise is scary. What should I do?

My vehicle is making a noise like a flat tire but no flat tire it is the loudest when my foot is off the gas and I am coasting I have had the bearing checked that is not the problem of course the mechanic couldn't hear it when he took it out but as soon as I left it started doing it they also told me the motor mounts are a bit loose but they didn't give me much information on it they kinda rushed me out my car is also vibrating quite a bit ....

I replaced the front brake pads of my 2001 B5 Passat with the PBR metal master brake pads. Recently, I've been getting a vibrating noise from my front suspension when I drive. The noise is like something is about to fall apart. After checking it out at the local dealership, the service advisor told me that the brake pads didn't have any clamps to secure it thus causing the ticking noise. He said I need to get the OEM brake pads. I know that PBR is not the OEM brake pads, but I thought no brake pads come with a clamp like he is describing. He insist that the OEM brake pads do. I checked the brake pads that I replaced and they were Akebonos.
My questions are:
1. What clamp is he talking about?
2. Is the clamp something that comes with the brake pads or a separate part that I have to get somewhere else?

New here - 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.4L Autostick//great car so far, but this is annoying me!
I can't feel any vibration, I just bought the vehicle and wondering where this noise might be coming from? If you rev the engine over 3k there is a strange vibrating/humming/rattling?? noise but you can't feel any vibration. I was thinking it might be the plastic cover on the engine or maybe something loose? I've already had the belt tensioners/belts checked out and that is not the issue.
It also sounds like a ricer when accelerating heavily (but from inside the cabin) there aren't any exhaust leaks at least I don't think so...

I have a 2006 Camry SE 4cylinder. Started the car this morning and heard a vibrating noise from under the hood. Popped the hood and listen closely and it was the alternator wire vibrating. I put my hands on the wire to confirm the vibration. I shook the wire and the vibration stop, but then smoke was coming out of the alternator. Is this a sign of a bad alternator?

I upgraded from a 2009 ES 350 to my 2013 GS 350 recently. One huge difference I noticed is the sound of the car while in idle. My ES was so quiet that sometimes it was hard to tell if it was on or off when parked. My GS has an irritating vibration noise from the outside that is very noticeable when I'm parked. I can hear it when my windows are down and I'm sitting in the driver's seat. It's not loud, so to speak, just incredibly irritating to the point where the vibration hurts your ears. When I'm in my garage and the sound is a bit more isolated, it sounds the loudest from the driver-side mid-to-back section of the car. However, the car itself doesn't feel like it's vibrating.
I also noticed at times when I start my car, my engine gets loud and the RPM shoots up to a bit past 2 (while still idle), then quiets down and evens out. Is this normal for this gen GS? The only reason I ask is because neither of things happened on my ES, so either I'm not used to it, or something is wrong. Driving/ performance seems normal. I do understand this engine should be a bit noisier than my ES and I am enjoying the extra HP and AWD ... I have a full, unlimited mileage warranty so getting anything fixed won't be an issue. My main concern is wasting my time going all the way to the dealership and embarrassing myself if it's completely normal.
