I lowered my car recently and it makes a wicked rubbing noise when I turn right at a decent speed, I've heard the axle rubs i guess what you'd call the seat of the strut in the front, is this the case? and if so, what can be done to correct this issue, because by no means am i that that low, I've seen much lower.

View 2 RepliesI've looked at several threads but no one describes my exact problem. The issue started suddenly. When I am in 4WD and turn (does not have to be sharp) there is a dragging and rubbing noise. It drags hard enough that it will stop the truck.
Sounds like the brakes engaging and rubbing. I can not see any foreign material wrapped up anywhere. The 4WD appears to be engaging properly and the IWE appear to be working. I can "stomp on it" in a straight line and throw mud with no crazy noises and get a rooster tail from the front end.
I've got about 15000 on new brakes and rotors. Ceramic pads and lifetime rotors all the way around.
I have a 2011 F-150 4x4 5.0 with about 45k miles. When I drive at slow speeds (ex. 5mph) and turn the wheels left or right there is a rubbing/growling sound coming from sounds like the front end. It does it either in forward or reverse. It's not a squeaking, clicking, or metal on metal sound. It does not do it when the wheels are straight. I rolled underneath and couldn't see anything that stuck out right away. What could be causing this?

This happens only going over about 40-50 and only when i turn the steering wheel like an inch to the left. To better clarify it doesn't rub while turning left going down a slope.
View 2 RepliesI've got a new issue that is happening on the front end of my truck. Whenever I try turning my wheel while driving, I get this rubbing/grinding noise coming from the front of my truck. It only happens when the wheels are in motion. It seems to happen less when I'm driving at higher speeds, but I can notice it make the sound at any speed. I tried driving it slowly in an empty parking lot while turning and it's definitely making the sound every time the tires rotate.
I took it in for an alignment because this was happening every time I drove, whether it be driving straight or making a turn. Now that my alignment has been fixed, it no longer make this noise if I am driving in a straight line, so it only seems to happen when I'm turning. I had the mechanic check to see if they could reproduce the issue. The mechanic was able to hear what I hear, but when he put it on the lift at the shop, he was not able to reproduce the sound.
I have the most terrible clunking/rubbing sound on my right passenger side, especially when I'm turning left. When I drive straight it sounds like the wheel is hopping even when going over minuscule imperfections in the road. I also get a terrible rub when going over speed bumps or into grooves and dips in the road.
I've searched and searched but cannot come up with a answer towards rectifying the issue. My car hasn't been lowered; I'm running the stop 337 suspension. I've replaced the following within the past two years:
-control arm bushings
-ball joints
-tie rod ends
-upper strut bushings and bearings
-passenger side axle
-dog bone mount
-engine mount
-tranny mount
Most recently:
-front struts
-sway bar end-links
-driver's side axle
It seems to like everything should be solid considering I've done all of this crap. I don't understand why I'm having this issue and why it sounds like it is getting worse and worse.
My dually has started to make a rubbing or grinding noise just about every time I make a turn, left or right. What this could be, truck has 8500 miles on it.

I have a 2013 Elantra. There is a rubbing type noise in the driver front when braking and turning right. It only rubs(catches) in one spot. Almost like a pulsation, however doesn't pulsate. Hard to describe. Has a new wheel bearing. There are new pads and rotors (two sets of rotors). Took to my Hyundai dealer today. They can't find anything visible. They said only option is to start adjusting/replacing parts as trial and error.

View 2 RepliesI've noticed lately that when I make a fairly sharp, but at low speed, left hand turn (for instance, I have a roundabout in my neighborhood) I get a strange rubbing noise coming from the front driver side wheel well and a bit of a vibration in the steering wheel. I'm still on the stock suspension, so I shouldn't be rubbing. Have I blown a shock or something?
View 2 RepliesI have a 2013 gti and just installed my new koni coils. Install went great car looks good everything was great until I test drove it. I am getting a very faint rubbing noise I would call it only while braking! Tires are not rubbing anywhere in the fender and all lines from the brakes are clear. The rubbing noise is only coming from the driver front side and like I said only while braking. I have triple checked all of my bolts and everything is tight.

View 24 RepliesIf the windows are closed you can hear it much better. The best way I can hear it is when I am stopped and i step on the gas just enough to get the rpms up. Another way to hear it is when I am at a red light on a hill and I am using the clutch. It's a rubbing sound but not as fast as the engine if that makes sense. Would that be the clutch? It doesn't matter whether the clutch is in or not, you can do it in neutral as well. Vw seems to think its the clutch but i have no slipping or anything. 65K miles no engine mods except intake.

I noticed ever since I first drove it, when the tires are cold, and I maneuver in slow speeds, I hear a sort of rubbing noise over pavement. It almost sounds like when you drive a car slowly on an inside floor, like on a dealer's showroom - is it normal for them to do this? PSI is at the recommended levels, nothing seems to be rubbing. I think when the tires warm up the noise goes away, and especially at higher speeds it is not there.
View 4 RepliesLast night pulling into a parking lot, I caught something on the lip of the entrance and there was a loud clunk. Naturally I looked for a different exit from the parking lot, but there wasn't one and on the way out I hit it again. Since then, I've had a loud scraping/rubbing/rattling noise whenever I'm off the accelerator. I haven't been able to get under the car to check things out, but my suspicion is that the resonator is rubbing on the driveshaft, and when I push the gas, the resonator moves down out of the way.
View 1 RepliesSo, I put my RCs with Eagle F1 DSG3s back on and now I have noise. I thought there was some rubbing, so I spaced them out tonight, but the noise is still there. I thought it could be my alignment, so I got an alignment, still noise.
It happens when I'm going straight and when I turn left, but not at all when I turn right, things get quiet. It sounds like a a rubber rubbing noise but i took the wheel off and I couldn't see any wear... Could it just be tire noise??
While switching freeways yesterday and shifting down into 3rd before hitting the exit ramp I heard I a slight clunk, and then this continual noise began. I initially wasn't quite sure if it was my car or the sound of the of the large semi engine braking in front of me so I continued on to the freeway and was able to shift back up to 5th and get to speed.
However, I held back to around 60Mph because the noise started to worry me as I continued to hear it after passing the 18 wheeler semi. I got off at the next exit and noticed that the noise ONLY occurs when the car is decelerating. It happens in every gear as well as neutral; having the clutch in or out doesn't make a difference either.
*When accelerating in any gear, even the slightest bit, the noise disappears.
I've scavenged the forums to find a similar issue but to no avail.
I've uploaded a video that shows the issue occurring. The video is taken from the driver's side wheel, but the sound resonates throughout the front of the car, can't really pinpoint where though.

I've recently replaced the Control arms, outer tie rod ends, ball joints, springs, struts, all for rotors/pads, rear calipers, handbrake cables, timing belt (with pulley kit) water pump, etc. full syn Oil changes every 3k-3.5k miles, Premium petrol only.
Fixed my AWD. Needed a new Haldex pump. Did a fluid change and new Haldex filter. All using factory stuff.
AWD works great now. The problem though is when im making tight slow speed turns. I.E. backing out of a parking stall. I get a noise from the rear diff like something rubbing, or a tire skidding.
Is this normal? I bought my car from the dealership without my AWD working and just got it fixed, so I really didn't know what an AWD R32 was like.
I have an '04 V6 and everytime I turn the wheel to turn at low speed I get a sound and felling like the tires are skipping or scrubbing the ground. I have no weird wear or shakes and it tracks straight. What would cause this??
