Soooooo I woke up this morning to a passenger footwell filled with a couple inches of water after it pissed rain last night (and continues to). It looks like it's dripping in right to the left of the doorjamb next to the passenger door speaker, under the kick panel. Is this common??

Dried out the carpet and underlay siliconed the bonnet release cable gromet and the electrical box next to it. the drains on both sides under the scuttle panel are clear. 1 week later the water is back again i noticed when i washed the car that there was foam on the top of the scuff panel on the in side of the car and on the seat adjuster.
Is my door seal gone? There is no water anywhere else in the car just at the drivers side foot well. at the wear pad area under the pedals. 3 door no sun roof.....
For about 4 months now, water has been leaking into the passenger side of my truck. I popped off the kick panel near the door and poured water down the windshield near the bottom. Water comes out of a small hole in the metal behind the kick panel. 2005 GMC Sierra v6....
View 8 RepliesEvery time it rains the back hatch of my 95 Honda Odyssey fills with water. I can drain most of it through the key latch, but there are several gallons of water in there. What do I need to do? What is the entire back hatch has to be replaced.
View 3 RepliesWhen it rains I get puddles inside on the passenger side. I haven't seen where it enters but it doesn't appear to be from the moon roof, or the windows (doors seem dry) so I assume it's from one of the doors but the weatherstripping looks to be intact. It looks like there's a rubber outlet in the hinge area of the front door - could it be from there?
View 9 RepliesI have a Toyota Aygo which leaks water into the passenger side foot space, so that when it rains, about 2 inches of water collects where the passengers feet would be.
It's been in to the dealer three times to fix, they replace the door seals but it seems to me that the rain isn't coming in via the door or window, but up through the floor somehow, ie seems to come up through the carpet suggesting it's coming in from somewhere else!
So I've noticed lately that atleast one of the passenger side footwell ducts is blowing cold air when the car is warmed up and everything else is blowing warm air. It seems to be the ducts closest to the driver side, although I'm not 100% sure. 2010 GTI MK6 ....
View 2 RepliesLast year I found out that the roof drainage system can get clogged over time. This result is water in places that you cant imagine. Its raining on the east coast and I see water in the passenger side wheel well, which means that the problem is back.
View 2 RepliesWhenever it rains a substantial amount, like all day I go out to my 92 Ranger and get in and notice the passenger side rubber floor mat has a puddle of water on it. I look under the floor mat and only the center of the carpet there is wet. I see it's getting the edge of that side of the headliner wet and ruining the new headliner had redone. I didn't realize there was water leaking until I got my headliner redone and put back in. It very well could have been leaking causing the headliner cloth to all tear. It's wet along the top passenger side where the grab handle is and the plastic trim. I thought it was the rain gutter on top of the roof so I put in some black silicone and some of it stopped but not all.
So I thought it was still leaking at the front corner so I put more silicone in. Don't know yet if that was what it was for sure but I'll find out tomorrow because it's raining pretty good right now. But just in case where else could it be getting this much water in. If you go through a carwash, or hose it down for awhile, or even drive while it's raining bad it won't get water inside. I'm not convinced it's the rain channel 100% because on the driver's side the putty filling the rain channel on the roof looks worse than the passenger side and there's no water coming in on the driver's side. There is no water coming in the back or on the back carpet or headliner.
I don't see any evidence around the windshield. I can't understand why only the middle of the passenger side carpet is soaked and not the top or under the seat, unless it's just soaking through the rubber floor mat and not drying out. It's getting so frustrating because I can't visibly find any evidence, I have to wait until it rains and then I can't see why it happens. It's ruining my carpet and my new headliner. I want to replace the carpet but want the leak stopped first. Where are common trouble areas on these 92 Rangers for water leakage?
93 k1500 350 has a water leak in the passenger footwell. Happens when it rains haven't had the truck long enough too test if a/c also causes leak. I checked the condensate drain line at the engine firewall. There was some gunk in it which I blew out but did not solve problem.
I'm able to reproduce leak by running a hose into the exterior cowl openings as if it were raining. As you can see in the pic the leak develops behind the blower motor. How to fix this leak??

Ok first there was the "Creaking Dash Rattle", now comes the front seat flood! It has rained for two days and water, lots of it, comes pouring out onto my mats on the passenger side when I make a hard left turn. At least 8 ounces!!! I don't have a sunroof. My carpet and mats are soaked. After I shop vacuumed the water out I took it to the dealer...just like the dash rattle he'd never heard of this problem. I told him maybe my rubber dash rattle wedge caused the problem? He said, I'd have to bring the car back and he was going to remove the shroud? (They're just dying to break into my dash). It looks like the glove compartment is taking a leak on the passenger's carpet.
Also My Bluelink can't be registered because someone before me registered it ON MY NEW CAR...and I am starting to wonder if this was a hail damaged car improperly repaired? i.e. leaks and windshield rattle. I bought it off of the showroom floor and assumed it was new but when I drove it away I saw 200 miles on the ODO. Don't say it I know I screwed up.
I just picked up my 09 SEL tiguan yesterday, when I got home, I found that the passenger footwell was soaked with water (from the A/C). I pulled the plastic trim from the console side away and found the source: there is a tube with a rubber intake that the water is coming out of. It seems like that tube sucks air in when the A/C is on. No water is pooling under the car from the A/C being on. The water does not leak when the a/c isn't on. Is something stopped up? I'm going back to the dealer tomorrow, but i'd like to get it fixed now, as my carpet is soaked and I'm afraid might start to stink.
View 11 RepliesI'm getting water in the driver's side footwell on my new (to me) 09 SE. I have the VW Cerified used Warranty so it's off to the dealer tomorrow. I had a similar problem with water in the rear cargo area, which was traced to the sunroof drain(s) being disconnected. Is water in the front also an indication of sunroof problems or is it likely coming in the door?
View 15 RepliesI've fixed one source of water that was leaking into the passenger side footwell via the insulation surrounding the A/D drain line, but I still have a leak on the drivers side after a rain, and it's strange. Unlike the leak on the passenger side, this one is not coming along the firewall - the firewall is bone dry. The water seems to be coming vertically straight down, landing on the floor mat, but I can't tell where it's coming from. Not only is the firewall dry, but so is the carpet on all sides of the puddle that collects in the rubber floor mat.
Also, I haven't been able to create the leak by spraying water on the van - I washed it today, for example, and not a drop came in. But we had a light rain last night, and there was a puddle on the floor mat (good thing it's rubber) when I opened the door this morning. I've stuck my head up under the dash immediately after I had found water on the floor mat, but can't for the life of me see any sign of wetness above the location of the water on the floor mat.
And yes, I've cleaned out the drain lines under the cowl in front of the windshield. Where this mystery leak may be coming from?
Picked up some rain guards for the front windows, driver side works fine but the passenger side is making the window get stuck ...
View 3 RepliesI drive a 2009 Honda Fit (and I am very happy with it). Last week, after some intense rain last week in Greenville, NC, out of the corner of my eye I noticed that there was a puddle of water on the floor of the passenger's side. I looked for a cracked window or maybe a leak from the windshield, but I couldn't see anything; besides, the floor was the only part that was wet (the dashboard, the seat, and the inside of the door were completely dry). Today I took the car in for an oil change to the local Honda dealer and I mentioned the issue to them, and asked whether they could take a look at it. They did and they said they could not find a leak anywhere. Where the water might come from? Is this common? How to prevent it from happening again?
View 7 RepliesIt's from rain, but only getting to the front passenger floor area. And this just started in the last month. Decades ago I had a VW Rabbit that would get serious water, in all 4 quadrants, in rain or a car wash. But I figured that one out, the "gutter" in front of the windshield was jammed up with dead leaves, once those were cleared, no more water coming in.
So, when this Avalon leak appeared, that was the first area I checked. There was a bit of leaves and twigs, which I cleared away, but the worst of it was on the drivers's side and as I mentioned, no problem there.
It seems rain is coming into the passenger floor area. When I have checked the bottom windshield area I have notice that some rubber/plastic line is not inserted all the way but cant be inserted. Accent 2006....

View 10 RepliesCleaned the truck today & noticed that the carpet in the passenger side footwell was wet, not real bad but wet at the edge by the trim, when I peeled up the trim the channel was full of clean water so I know it's not the heater.
I'm guessing that it may be a blocked drain but won't have time to check for another week, we did have some pretty bad rain last week so maybe it was just too severe for the drain to cope?
I should have taken the pic before I dried it up but the channel between the carpet & the door rubber was pretty much full
There is a mark where the water has run down the floor. Just to the left of the red antenna cable, I pulled out the glove box but couldn't see anywhere obvious that it has got in.
