Golf IV R32 :: Loud Knock Coming From Under Right Foot While Driving

So this just started happening last night and I haven't had time yet to get the car in a rack. There is now a fairly loud knock (changes frequency with speed) coming from under my right foot while coasting in gear. It does not affect steering, braking, handling (from what I can tell), or acceleration. The knock it not there while coasting in neutral. My concern is that it may be a mount that is loose.

The wife drove the Excursion (V10) to work today and it ran normal and didn't have any loud noises coming from under the hood. When she started the engine to return home it immediately started knocking. This is not a ping, but a knock. Not a loud heavy knock, but much louder than a ping. It has a fast frequency, seems too fast to be a rod knocking. The frequency is similar to a valve issue, but the knock seems to be too heavy for lifters. Oil looks good. Just changed out 2 weeks ago. Truck is driven everyday.

the other day i was driving with no music on my GS and i noticed every time i came to a complete stop, the brakes would produce a weird loud knock sound. it was rainning so i thought it would be from that... but then after driving it roughly 5-7miles the sound stopped... then since i noticed it, i hoped on my corolla to see if it had the same thing but no... only on my GS.. is this normal?

Recently, with below 0 temperatures. there have been a couple of times where my van has trouble starting. I would turn the key forward and here a loud knock coming from the starter solenoid and nothing else. but after a couple of tries, it will crank and start right up no problem. so i figured maybe it just has to do with cold weather? but today it wouldn't budge at all. I've been doing some research and came across the possibility that my engine has seized.
I realized that after replacing the radiator, i never checked my oil level since my engine was over-heating prior to the fix and when i checked it today i found that it is a quart low. I guess, what my question is what would be the issue? is my engine really seized or is it the starter or solenoid? could it be some other electrical issue? what are the steps i could take in finding the problem?

I noticed a rough idle after driving an hour with a 6000 lb trailer and stopped at an offramp. Had no performance issues to that point in an hour drive. Then I noticed a good amount of white smoke coming out of the exhaust. The idle felt just like when I had a contribution/balance code on #5 a year ago, and a new injector fixed that. Before long (10-20 minutes later) the idle got real loud, like a big knock/loud tick every revolution.
I had a bunch of stored codes, so I reset them and later found a P0281 - Cylinder 7 contribution/Balance and P0404 - EGR control circuit range/performance were the 2 that came back. I drove it 2 more hours to get home. It ran well under load, but coasting or stopped gave the loud knock, and stopped and idling was a rough, inconsistent idle. It even stalled on me 3 times when braking for a red light (auto trans). There was a lot of white smoke all the time, plus a little dark smoke on acceleration.
What would you recommend for troubleshooting steps? I could put a new injector in #7 and clean the EGR valve, but want to have a good idea that will fix it first. Is there a good chance I have a messed up piston in #7 now?

P0148 Fuel delivery error
P0234 turbo overboost (i know i need to pull and clean the turbo anyway, unrelated to today's issue)
P0281 Cylinder 7 contribution/Balance
P0404 EGR control circuit range/performance
P0670 Glow plug (I had the module unplugged a while ago)
P0683 Glow plug (I had the module unplugged a while ago)

I own a 2004 VW GTI VR6, with 70k miles. i bought it used (at 40k) from carmax. Ever since I've owned it I have had a problem with a single loud knock sound i can hear from my front left wheel.
it happens in two scenarios1) when i back out of a parking space and start turning my wheel - it's only a single knock (hence i don't think it's the CV, and its been pretty constant for at least 2 years), and happens at about halfway through the steering wheel travel.2) it also happens when i accelerate hard, or decelerate. it's a single knock, or pop, or clunking sound. it almost feels like something is loose, or reseating itself as the car puts pressure on the wheel as i accelerate, and then again once again when the car decelerates.
it's pretty damn loud, and disconcerting... i can feel it in the steering wheel as well. it seems to be louder when the car has not been driven for a few days.
I've taken the car back to carmax several times over the past three years but they have not been able to find the fault. they have replaced my engine mounts twice (in 30k miles that I've had the car), which i also think is a little weird. they have also replaced all the tie rod ends, etc. - all the obvious stuff.
I am at my wit's end here - carmax pretty much think I'm crazy, and my warranty has run out, but i think I've bought a car that was in an accident - i'm expecting my front end to fall apart one day as I'm driving...

After my coilover install there is a small knock coming from both sides in the front that wasn't there before..sounds and acts like a swaybar link but they don't have play and I replaced them and the noise is still there. I also reused the the shock tops?

I have a 2002 Rendezvous. I keep on hearing a loud noise coming from the front of the car when I am driving and it gets louder when I drive faster. My mechanic says its because of a brake rotor that's hung up on something in the car.

My 1998 Explorer is making a terrible banging noise when driving. It appears to come from the rear. It only occurs when i step on the gas, gives a bang and the car shudders lightly. The bang can be gone for 10 - 30 seconds, and all of a sudden appear again. If I step hard on the gas, it will make a bang! bang! bang! noise.. If let my foot off the gas, it rolls quitely without any noise.
I have greased the slip yoke, inspected the U-joints, checked the rear calipers, opened the rear axle/differential plate - no metal parts or excessive wear were observed.. The transmission runs smoothly, there are no other noises apart from the bang. It is as if someone is hitting the car with a hammer from underneath...

I have an '04 Suzuki Aerio, and there is a loud popping or knocking sound coming from the front of the car when I drive it. I don't seem to hear it when the car is inert (i.e. idling or traveling in a straight at a constant speed). I hear it intermittently when I accelerate/decelerate or turn. I hear it in drive and reverse. The strange thing is that it seems to go away completely when it is raining, and then come back when it stops raining and things dry out. It has been happening for a month or two. I think it has been gradually getting a bit louder. What could cause this?

I have a 2007 Camry XLE with 30,000 miles on it purchased new.I stated it up the other day after setting all night it had a very loud knock in the engine I shut it off and had it towed to the dealership. They started it up and wanted to know what happened they said it sounded like a rod out. They keep it several days and ended up doing a top engine flush and then replaced the spark plugs. They said it was a carbon build up.I asked if they suggest any thing to keep this from happening and they said they do not recommend using any thing. I thought carbon deposits were supposed to be a thing of the past. Does this still happen.

I have an 02 f150 ext cab fx4 with just under 140,000 miles my first problem was when I shift from reverse to drive I have a loud clunk/bang I was trying to find out what was wrong so my brother in law was looking out the drive shaft he pushed it into the rear end now when I am over 65mph and take my foot off the gas I have a vibration but only when I take my foot off the gas and above 60-65mph the steering wheel or peddles don't vibrate but the floor does .

Under normal driving how loud is the exhaust inside the car with the windows up and the radio on? I know the exhaust is loud as all the reviews say and i know there are videos on youtube of the exhaust but its always either with the windows down or windows up and radio off. I just want to know how much louder than stock it is just cruising with windows up and radio on if i want some sort of quiet.

I am a newbie of the Golf R32. There is something curious when the operation speed of more than 120km On the right side of the engine compartment are as mad as a strange noise.
Quite a loud noise like whistling, as a rapidly rotating. Is this the original R32-sounding? I heard this noise because the sound generator is this true?

Passat (2012 3.6 SEL, 7500 mi) making a loud knock noise from the underside of the car. It happens, without fail, every time I pull it out of my garage, and often when I'm coming to a stop or pulling out of a parking spot, etc.
I have taken it to the dealer numerous times, only to have the "failed to replicate, operating as designed" on the service tag. The car has been in for so many other things, this is just another issue I mention to them every time. Since the other issues (aside from the rattles) have been fixed, I'll make this my primary concern...until something else wiggs out on the car.

The car: 2012 Tiguan SE 4mo (auto)
The noise: there is a loud pop/cluck/knock from the front drivers side footwell, can sometimes be felt in the pedals
When it occurs: Most frequently it occurs on deceleration. Letting off the gas, there is a slight delay then the noise. It doesn't happen every time. The intensity of it is very sporadic and unpredictable. In stop and go traffic, it is typically the worst, gently accelerate, let off the gas, loud clunk. During other normal driving, accelerate up to normal (55mph) speed, let off gas, quieter clunk, intermittent. Infrequently it makes the noise when I shift into reverse. I can also hear it faintly when i start the car sometimes.
There seems to be very little correlation to vehicle speed and the noise. It is typically louder at low.

Is the eip race exhaust to loud for daily driving? People have told me that it would be to loud but I like loud. I looked on YouTube for soundclips but I only found two and one was pretty raspy.

Today i went out side to warm up my car before heading out to work ... When i started my car i got out and i hear a Loud HISSING sound ??? So i popped the hood and it just got louder ?? sounds like its coming from the top of the motor and also on the left side by the belts ??? its a 2004 R32 and i just hit 80K miles?? What it could be ??

Brought the car to the dealership and have been told that it needs 2 new cooling fans. Radiator damaged and some wiring component needs to be replaced to the bottom line price of $1200. Would I do better repairing this type of fix at a non VW shop?
