Golf IV R32 :: Impossible To Get Into 6th Gear

I recently got my R32 and noticed that its nearly impossible to get into 6th. If you play with it long enough it MAY go in. I looked at the linkage and there's nothing jammed in it. I am thinking the linkage may need an adjustment. Could it have anything to do with the VF trans and dogbone mounts.

I have a 13 Golf R with about 8k miles on it. It shifted fine until recently but now it is stiff shifting from 1st to 2nd, and very stiff from 2nd to 3rd when anything over say 4500 rpm.
Downshifting from 4 to 3 or 3 to 2 are almost impossible until the is going very slow.
What could be wrong? Clutch/synchros/linkage/mounts? I am going to call the dealer tomorrow...

I know the Touareg has a problem with the rear seat belt locking and making it impossible to raise the rear seat after it's folded down. In fact, that happened to me and I'm going to have it fixed next week. Now, however, the front passenger side seat belt is stuck about 2/3 of the way out. Can't pull out more and won't retract.

2005 Santa Fe - 3.5L w/ Auto a/c controls (it matters for price on the resistor. boo!)
I find myself having a really hard time sliding the motor back in. It was difficult to pull out before and now it's nearly impossible to put back in.
The Fan wheel measures 5 3/4"
I believe the issue has to do with prefab installation and a very large wheel causing this to be too difficult to push in at an angle.
I see different dimensions for fan wheels and I'm thinking that may be the key.
I already have to replace the blower motor.

My '96 Dakota SLT 6-cylinder pickup backfired and blew a hole in my muffler ... I've had it in three different shops on six occasions since and the thing still hiccups, backfires, stalls ... most of the electrical switches and sensors have been replaced ... right before it back fires, it feels like it is going to stall, then "POW" ... sometimes it continues to run fine for a little while after that ... then it happens again ... When it stalls it feels like it is running out of gas ... it is almost impossible to restart right away, but if I wait a few minutes, the starts right up ...

I was driving and the clutch started acting strange. Before I could get home, the pedal went hard and moving was about impossible. My husband replaced the clutch, throwout bearing, and also the slave cylinder. He got everything put together and the clutch was not disengaging. We have bled the system from the master and also from the slave multiple times, about 10 over the past few months. Still we are not able to get the car moving. The pedal has pressure behind it but nothing. We have checked for leaks and have not found any.

I have been having trouble with my 2002 F250 SD, the steering at low RPM is next to impossible.. If i put it into N I can rev the engine and it gets "easier" but not very. I do not want to replace the pump and find out that it wasn't the problem...

I have a 2001 F250 SD V10 and when at a dead stop and with the brakes applied, steering becomes very stiff and almost impossible to turn the wheels. If I let off of the brakes and move a little the steering is just fine. I hate like hell to spend the money on a new power steering pump if it isn't going to fix the problem. Simply put, deap stop, brakes on, wheels don't want to steer. How do I fix it?

The problem: Very hard to get a smooth shift from gear to gear. Trust me, I know how to drive, but I can always feel the car shifting into a different gear if you know what I'm saying. On my friend's bone stock Jetta, I just let the clutch out without gas in between shifts and you don't feel a thing.
On my car, you feel EVERYTHING. People have told me the light flywheel will make the ride more uncomfortable in many ways, especially since the RPMs drop much quicker in between shifts than stock.

Shifter seem like it is way too loud going from gear to gear? Just holding in the clutch and rowing from gear to gear...seems way too loud, Seriously sounds like shifting gears in my old 5.0 mustang.

I've recently started having problems when shifting into second gear. When I go to shift into second gear, the action feels kind of spongy, and the car won't go into gear. If I cycle the gear shift back and for from 1st to 2nd a bunch of times it will eventually go into gear. From that point on it will shift with no problems. The problem is sporadic and tends to occur more often when the car is cold.

This is a off and on problem I have been having with my R. On some mornings, not every one, it will not go in first all the way. If I try to let the clutch engage it will pop right out. But after I drive for a while and putting it in and out of first a few times like a at light, it will work normally. Is this because of an HPA short shifter I have in there? I would guess no because it is not a constant problem, but im not sure. Also while putting in the short shifter I noticed a valve on the bottom of the air box, could this be interfering?

I'm most likely picking up a 03 jetta glx vr6. Thing is the 6th gear is out. Is the entire transmission about to break or is it a common thing?

In addition to having some play in all gears, I am having vibration only in 4th. I put brand new oil in the trans, and I intend to do the cable adjustment and new bushing next weekend. I am concerned that this will not fix the problem though. It only happens in 4th and in addition to vibration, when alternating from being on the throttle to not i can see and feel the lever kick forward a bit (when off the gas) and snap back when i get back on the throttle. It has never actually popped out of gear, but it is definitely not normal.

LLast night I was driving. I got off the highway and pulling on to the main road in 2nd, I ripped on it and went into 3rd quickly. It basically kicked it out of gear, and didn't seem like I had any other gear besides 1st or 2nd. Got to a local gas station in 2nd, and I originally thought my linkage had come off. While trying to back into a spot to make life easier, there was no reverse. seems like the trans is binding up. Aligned the linkage anyway, when the car is off, it goes into every gear, but when it is on, it feels like 1st-2nd-nothing. If I roll the car backwards and then forward, I have 1st. Other than that, it will not engage. If I put the trans in reverse and then try to back up, it feels like the trans is binding. Same with 1st, unless the car is running. Traction control light will not turn off either, will have it scanned this week to determine that issue...
Ive seen most people have issues with the 1st-2nd shift fork and have this causing the reverse issues.

Me and my buddy that has a 2012 GLI where playing with our cars and i noticed that he is at 4,000rpms in second gear @40mph, while my car (2010GTI) was at 4600rpms....Both of us have 6 speed manuals.. What could cause this other than gearing? I don't think the gearing is different since to my knowledge both cars and trannys are the same...or am i wrong?

Just bought my first r 32 recently , had previously owned a 20th anniversary GTI, anyway guy i bought the car from mentioned the awd system was not working , recently was driving and clutch would not go into gear in addition to the haldex or awd not functioning . The clutch also kinda "stuck" to the floor .. Also I noticed some fluid on the undercarriage the day I brought it home . I'm pretty sure the car was beat on but there aren't many available up this way , and honestly I know I'm prob gonna spend some to get her road worthy again , Also felt like the car was operating in rwd for some reason and traction control light is on.

Got my shifter in yesterday installed it today, had a few throwbacks but Jim was able to iron them out, except for one. I can go through all my gears, even reverse, but when I put it into "1st" it puts me in 3rd and it's sluggish taking off. I'm going to take it all apart tomorrow and try it again.

The car was starting to have issues going into gear after a night of cruising. Then I was experiencing what I am thinking was clutch creep. The clutch would be down and in gear and the car wanted to slowly roll.
What I have done to try and fix it:
I have bled the system many times to get all the air out(i believe), and also readjusted the the linkage. NOW, the car will not go into gear when it is on but will when it is off. I have the car on stands at the moment and it will shift through all the gears when the car is on just the wheels spin since it is in the air.
The clutch/flywheel/pp/throw out bearing all have less then 2k miles on them. Tranny fluid has been replaced with Penzoil syncomesh. I have yet to ever do a hard launch.
Clutchmasters Fx400, OEM DMFW.
Car is an 02m trans w/o the black cap in the side so I cannot do the washer/gasket mod for clutch creep. Believe I have to order NLS shim kit and put behind the throw out bearing.

So i was driving home from work yesterday and out of no where i couldnt get the shifter to get over to 1st or 2nd gear. i had to wiggle it around and push down on the shift knob and it eventually went over. Happened a few more times yesterday and like twice on my way to work today. It feels kind of sticky or something, not really moving as freely as it used to. What could be causing this?

Having issues with manual transmission with going into and coming out of gears? When I am putting the shifter into first and second it doesn't want to go into the gear!? Or come out of the gear!?
