But now for some reason both of my reverse lights aren't working...
Since my first post the jetta has come a long way. still has a longer way to go.
Had the tail lights coded for at a local shop.. realized as I was leaving that the reverse lights are throwing an error. Can these be coded for? Now that the car recognizes the tails as LED, is the error coming from the incandescent? Should I replace the bulbs with low pulling LEDs without resistors? As for the fog, do I have to replace the bulb as well? No euro switch or wiring done. Basically, how do I get rid of the error.
View 3 RepliesI recently purchased my first car/jetta. When i switch the knob to turn on the instrument lights on my 2000 jetta the headlights don't come on. But when i turn the knob off the auto headlights turn on. Any insight on this? when i first got the car everything was working fine. It only started to happen after I replaced the radiator.
View 6 RepliesI have a chevrolet optra 2007 and the hazard lights won't work unless the turn signal (left or right) is switched on at the same time. Turn signals work perfectly fine.

The dome lights doesn't work with any door. Can be the relay?
When I look back into the rear view the top brake light isn't a solid light, it keeps blinking but sometimes it won't blink and just have a solid light. Also, my friend pointed out to me that both of my reverse lights arenot even coming on. I suspect a loose wire somewhere. Where should I look? Or something else?
View 5 RepliesMy car not starting at times. the issue goes like this i'll start it up drive it to where i need to go park it do what i need to do come back out to the car and it wont start there;s no clicking from the starter or anything but all my dash lights and electronics work and after trying to start the car for about 15-20 min it'll start up no problem. i went and had the battery and starter tested and they said it was fine. all i can think of is that its the ignition switch but i don't wanna go out and spend close to 100 bucks to replace this if its not the problem.
View 24 RepliesIn my 2001 2.0, my AC has been blowing hot air for a while now. It was intermittent at first but now is constant.
The compressor runs without going off when the AC is switched on. I can tell because I see the compressor clutch engaged and spinning.
I tested with AC manifold gauges and these are the readings I got.
Engine off : Low is 0, High is 135
Engine on, AC on full blast after running 10 min at 1500 RPM:
Low is 4, High is 135
Looks pretty bad.
I have an 01gti glx and my headlights are not working when i turn my headlight switch on. They work just fine when i release the ebrake just not working with the switch! I checked the fuses under the dash and all were good.

View 2 RepliesJust installed the smoked tail lights on my '07 Treg. Installation was very easy per the instructions on OEMplus. I did a great job from that standpoint.
Got one issue, I check the 'Check Lights" warning and I think its due to the fact I tested the lights before I had all the new ones installed and hooked up. Do I need to take it to the dealer to have something reset via a computer or will the check light go away with some driving, which is what the dealer said.
Ok so the GMC has another one of those tiny issues that we all hate to have. I don't know if its been this way since I bought it or if its just since we pulled the transmission to put on a new clutch, but my reverse lights don't work. Every other light on the truck works and I checked the bulbs and the fuses and found nothing. I even checked to see if the sensor wire was hooked up to the transmission since we pulled it out and it is.
I have an online subscription to Chilton's and have looked at the wiring diagrams time and time again and can't figure this one out. my real question at this point is how the switch in the transmission works, can I just rewire a bit and direct wire through it or does it have to go through the main harness somehow. the details on the truck are as follows: 1994 GMC K1500 5 speed 350 TBI.
I have a 1969 Ford LTD and i am having a problem with my reverse lights. I have already changed the light bulbs and the fuses and both of the reverse lights still do not work.

View 6 RepliesMy reverse lights do not work and it is not due to the bulbs. Guy at autozone said it is the neutral safety switch. Does this sound correct? And I have done work on my truck myself, is this a difficult fix? I went ahead and bought the part, but can take it back if too hairy.
View 14 RepliesI got a 99' Jetta gls 5 spd. I just replaced the transmission and now the car won't engage reverse from inside the cockpit. Reverse can be engage from inside the engine bay, but when the shift knob is depressed nothing happens. Linkag cables are in the correct spots.

View 3 RepliesThis is the first winter with my LED tails installed, and notice that I get varying amounts of moisture on the inside of each corner light lens. It makes me a bit worried that this will eventually cause a short or destroy a light in my not-so-cheap tails.
It comes and goes based on relative humidity, temp, and precipitation - but isn't necessarily worse when raining. It's almost like the larger the delta between a higher cabin temp and colder outside temp on a "humid" day generates the most moisture.
I have checked the "bulb access" on each corner and the weatherstripping is intact and appears to make solid contact when tightened down.
My reverse light switch bit the dust and I'm trying to find the OEM part number. Would it be the same part as the MK4 R32 for our O2M 6spd trans? (Part #: 02T945415P)
