My power seat is stuck in the all-the-way-forward position. Seat has power to tilt and move up/down but will not move/slide back and forth. I am guessing there is a power cable that popped out when the seat was moved all the way forward.

I own a 2000 Jetta GLS TDI 5 speed with 501,000 kms on it. The problem I have is the passenger seat back release handle broke off so there is no way to fold down the seat.

View 3 RepliesI am able to operate my power drivers seat in all position except for reverse. My wife was the last one to drive and the seat is stuck in almost the full forward position. I can move the seat forward but not in reverse.
I've already looked under the seat for blockages along the railing and didn't see anything. I would try to remove the seat, but its positioned too far forward to access where I think the bolts would be. I did notice one unconnected wiring harness coming up from the floor under the seat, but it looks like it doesn't go to anything. Maybe its for models with heated seats or something because I don't have heated seats. My car by the way is a 2009 sonata GLS.
Bought this truck (06 F250 cclb diesel) earlier this year and (as far as the seat is concerned) worked perfectly until about 2 weeks or so ago, when I learned that the passenger power seat works in every direction except for to move the seat back. Since every one that got in the truck didn't believe me and now the seat is almost at the glove box I finally decided I should do something about it. I have removed the fuse and let is sit with the the fuse out for about an hour, no change. I had read on another fourm that if you recline the seat back a few times it resets the module, attempted with no change. It is to the point I need to get into a bit more serious diagnostic processes however I am unsure exactly where to start.
View 2 RepliesMy wife's power drivers seat will only move forward not back. Fuses all look good and the passenger seat operates fine. If this continues and she hits the button again she will need to be shorter than the 5' she is already. No chance at this point I can fit in the car.
View 4 RepliesI am not liking this seat. Not sure if something wrong with control lately or I'm just noticing from sitting there more but I want it to lean more forward. I have messed with controls to get it to as forward as it will lean but still feel like it's only touching the very bottom of my back. Is there a spec on seat angle so I could check if it's proper? I'd like to avoid getting a grandma pillow..

Also up and down does not work.. Am I screwed or might this be a fuse? Strange, I would have thought the Driver seat would have failed first.

At about the same time my airbag warning idiot light came on! I changed my front seat. The seat change was no biggy, but I keep getting the airbag light! Can this be cleared simply or only by a dealer?

View 14 RepliesTo summarize. I no longer get any fault codes but the passenger side DRL is not functioning and my rear fog is stuck on. I do not have a euro switch with the fog option. I set byte 18 to 0x04.
The passenger LED running strip functions with the headlights on though. For DRL function it turns on right after releasing the parking brake but shuts off a second later.
My 2 door tdi is about 3 months old now. its whisper quiet in the cabin with the exception of this one rattle coming from somewhere on the front passenger seat area.
I've removed everything from the cabin to make sure something wasn't rubbing against anything but the rattle is still there. the odd thing is is that I cant seem to exactly isolate where its coming from.
I've knocked on the door panel, glovebox area and everywhere else i can think of and I cant reproduce it unless the car is driving. Where it was coming from?
Just a few days back, the front passenger seat of my 2010 Legacy ceased to move forward and backward. So no one can feasibly sit in the front when I'm driving unless under 5' tall. The lumbar and seat back motors seem to be working just fine, so just the back and forward function/motor is dead. I initially thought something was stuck in the tracks that hold the seat in, but checked all of that out and nada. The motor makes no sound or vibration. I'm also surprised the seat mechanism seems to be broken in a 4-yr-old car with low mileage.
View 4 RepliesI have a problem on my 2009 Lexus ES 350, this morning I found out the passenger side power seat is not moving at all in any directions (up, down, front, back etc.) However the driver's side is working. It was working in the past, but I would not know for how long it has stopped working as I don't normally press the buttons on the passenger side except when I want to clean the car.
I tried going through the owners manual to check if it is a blown fuse, but on opening the hood the fuse referred to as Power seat fuse is big fuse that cannot be pulled, also checked the one under the steering compartment, I could not find it either as from the manual it is not a regular fuse either. On second thought I was thinking if it a blown fuse both seats should not be working except they are wired separately (I don't know, just a guess).
The passenger door of my golf mk4 is stuck after I read through the forums it seems that the little latch inside the handle has been super glued maybe the previous owner had problems with the distance of it. Any way I can remove the super glue? I will provide a picture to illustrate. it can neither open inside or outside. [IMG][/IMG]......

View 4 RepliesSo after taking my truck to the car wash my drivers side seat no longer slides forward and is stuck in the all-the-way back position. The little joystick goes up and down, won't go back (since its all the way back) and makes absolutely no noise to go forward.
I've tried the seat recline trick to no avail. I also can't access one of the rear seat bolts because the seat is all the way back. What is going on and is there any way to manually get the seat moved forward?
I just recently got a 2001 1.8t jetta. It was leaking coolant and only one fan would come on. Ive fixed the coolant leak. Only the passenger side fan comes on, and the AC blows hot as well. Ive checked the fuses on the battery and they are good.
View 3 RepliesI could hear a rattling noise under the hood. The passenger side fan would appear to be off balance or the bearing most likely is going out in it. I am having trouble finding a replacement fan for it. Can I replace just that fan, or am I looking at a new cowl complete replacement? What is the part numbers or a link about these fans. It is the passenger side fan that is malfunctioning.
