So tonight I took apart my glove box and center console in hopes of relocating the TPMS button...Once I put everything back together the MFD says airbag error and when i sit in the passenger seat the airbag icon in the center console is flashing and a 2 and a X. Also the airbag icon is on the dash.

32-00 - Resistance too High
I measured block 2 and found that wiggling the seat belt latch showed a 'On' vs 'Too High'. So I know it's that switch inside the latch. I don't want to buy a new latch. But since I always wear my seat belt I could just use a resistor to set it to 'ON' at all times.
I have found a few DIY, but thing seem to vary from R32 to Golf. In this .pdf, it is for the airbag defeat, but I am thinking this is a different issue all together.. [URL] .... This guide then shows different wires than the R32... [URL] .....
My airbag light went on so i scanned for codes and I got:
00592-seatbelt switch:right (e25) 32-00-resistance too high.
What I need to do to fix this and make the light go away?
I picked up a 2016 CSG GTI S 4-door with DSG on Dec 31st. I had an Airbag Error! message come on when I started it this weekend. I went through several cycles of restarts and it didn't go away. I did a quick Internet search and didn't hit on any common problem with airbags, seatbelt pre-tensioners, etc. I called that Saturday and was given a Monday appointment. I was dreading them having to take out interior dash, seats, trim, etc. to troubleshoot. I just got the call that the problem turned out to be with an airbag sensor connection in the front bumper and it is ready to go. Can't wait to get back to driving!
View 5 RepliesI went to a stereo shop to have all my doors covered with DynaMat. They did a great job there but now I have an airbag error. How do I reset this? I do have a VCDS cable. I know it was because the battery was not unplugged before the door trim was removed so I'm not that worried, just wondering if VCDS can take care of it or I MUST go to the dealer.
My other issue are the interior lights. I had them all replaced with LED bulbs and when I left the shop I turned the map lights on and all was good. I left the shop to put some fuel in and when I started the car again I had no lights. Now NONE of my interior lights go on. What Happened? I've seen plenty of people with LED bulbs in their cars so I didn't think anything could go wrong? Do I just go back to the stock bulbs?
I have a 2012 passat se and the airbag error light came on, after it did all the buttons on the steering wheel and the horn stopped working. How is the best way to fix this?

I found the airbag diagnostic module (in passenger cowl area) and checked for loosed wire, nothing found. Where the loose ground wire is located? I checked under the seat (didn't do a through job, but looked).
Well, I recently had the "Airbag Fault" error message (along with the wonderful amber airbag light) both appear on my dash, and oddly enough, I haven't hit anything or bumped anything or done anything that could cause this error. I drive a 2001 VW 1.8T and she only has 48,000 miles on her.

The light flashes twice, pause, then once, so I think this is error code 21? I cannot find anything on what this code is and how to fix it. I disconnected battery for an hour and now I get 4 flashes, pause, 6 flashes, 46 error.

View 14 RepliesI had been having battery issues with my 97 ford f150 4.6 liter for the longest time, thought i had a short under dash, i pulled entire dash out, disconnecting bat first of course, and inspected all wiring harness connections and fixing my issues and putting it all back together. now with new bat and all put back together i am now getting the airbag light flashing 5 times then 2 times (error code 52) i know it has some thing to do with power failure or backup battery, but now with the new battery in i cant seem to get it to reset. How to do this?
View 3 RepliesThe other day, I was sitting in the just the right place with the light shining in the passenger window just right to notice a glistening liquid in the bottom crack of the line that runs around the passenger side air bag panel. (Hope I explained it well enough)
I was concerned about a water leak of course, but I have no water traces anywhere else behind the dash or the kick panel. I spread the crack apart far enough to get the edge of a paper towel in the crack to wipe up whatever it was. Low and behold, it is some kind of really slick, silicone type oil.
If the safety air bag should be leaking oil? Is my family in danger? Do safety air bags "degrade" and start decomposing in time? Could that oil be coming from some other source?
Can I pull that front panel off without making the bag explode?
Last night, my 2008 Prius was hit from the rear. The bumper was damaged as well as a few starches on the hatch. However the latch for the hatch was move forward so the hatch no longer latches. Also during the collision, my daughter's heavy backpack was throw against the back of the passenger seat with enough force to hurt her back.
The airbag warning light remains on along with the dash indicator saying the airbag is off. Does mean all the airbags are disabled? Can this be reset? The car will be professionally repaired but I still need to drive it until I can get it repaired.
Every time I start the truck, the Passenger Side Airbag light is on, which is saying the airbag is turned "OFF." I have to push the button to turn the light off, which turns the airbag "ON." How do I reset this to where the airbag is "ON" until I turn it "OFF?"
View 8 Replies2010 Golf 2.5 with non-MF steering wheel. I bought a MF steering wheel with module, wiring etc. I finally decided to do the swap today. I can't even take the airbag off!
I disconnect the battery, turn the wheel 90 degrees left, use a small mirror to see the tab behind and insert a flat screwdriver and pry it towards the center.
It does not pop out.. I pull the airbag little bit, it does not clear. When I remove the screwdriver, the hook sits back on the tab again..
I've tried on both sides for almost an hour and the goddamn airbag is still there...
So after years of making fun of my Audi friends for always having their air bag lights pop on, on the way to the grocery store my airbag light decided to come on and stay on
View 11 RepliesI purchased a 2002 2.0 jetta a couple of months ago and not long after I had it I noticed that the airbag light had come on. I brought it to a garage and had them check it out and they came back with a code that read 01218 side airbag igniter passenger side. When. I asked about getting this fixed they really couldn't say much about what exactly the problem was other then to say that it could be a problem with the whole system...which I don't get as the code only came back for the side airbag igniter. I also went and spoke to the dealer here in town and they wouldn't even speak to me about it unless I let them have the car be seen by one of their mechanics and putting the computer on it to read the code which I had already told them about.
View 6 Replieslately i have been getting an airbag fault after accidentally stalling the car. I can clear it w. my VAD, but it comes back. I know, i know, the obvious cure here is to never stall the car, but the last time the fault came up, i was only turning the car onto the "accessories" position to check the outside temp.
