Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Air Intake Temperature Sensor Missing?

Looking at my circle track car when they told me my air intake temperature sensor was missing this is a picture online I found: [URL] ....

The hole is filled with a bolt and some epoxy. I don't see where the cable is for it. What will this do to my car? It is a track only car.

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Error Code P0113 - Intake Air Temp Sensor

My 2003 Mk 4 Golf have had a lot of error codes and I have cleared most (O2 sensors, thermostat, and Mass Air Sensor) I now have an error P0113 which is the Intake Air temp Sensor.

So I need to clean the sensor first then maybe replace it, but I can't find the sensor on the intake manifold.

I have looked all through the U-Tube info, but nothing matches my 2003 Golf 2.0L ...

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Whistle Under Acceleration / Sensor Located On Intake Tube

I have a 02 2.0 Jetta with 179k

Have that pesky "whistle under acceleration" when past 1/4 throttle issue. I have been going over the entire engine, checking and cleaning.

-----On the intake tube where the 1 inch case vent and half inch tube meet there is a Flapper/Flow check with a electrical connector directly on top.

Question being, is this a flow sensor? The flapper is distorted and does not function properly.. is this an issue?

Any way to test the radiator temp sensor for faults? My radiator fans arent kicking on, and my car will get upto 215f on the drive to work. I am also going to replace the thermostat and test my radiator fans and relay today, but I have no idea how to test the sensor.

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: 2001 - Misfire After Replacing Coolant Temperature Sensor

I drive a 2001 Jetta with the 2.8 v6 with ~125k miles

So for a while my car was giving me a false read on my temperature so I replaced the sensor. I actually followed instructions from a thread on this site. [URL] ....

Now when I go to drive my car, it runs sluggish and misfires if I really give it some gas. CEL is on(however does not return a code when hooked to a computer), and flashes when gassed hard.

I've checked to make sure spark plug wires were reconnected correctly and securely. No leaking has occurred from the temp sensor. shift rod drive unit is reconnected correctly.

Ford - Windstar :: Code P0113 - Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit High Input

Check engine light is on, this is the code that came up when checked at OReillys, "P0113 Intake Air temperature sensor 1 Circuit high input". Earlier took it to repair shop, he did not give the code, some sensor needs to be changed (don't know if he came up with same code). He had erased the code but it came back on within minutes. Wanted to check if there is any cheaper way to fix this. This is a windstar van.

Golf V R32 :: P000A Powertrain Code - Intake (A) Cam Position Sensor Slow Response

I've tried to do my due diligence searching on this (I've seen many posts but most have other codes).. I have the P000A code, reads as follows-- Intake (A) Cam Position Sensor Slow Response (powertrain).

I have no misfires, hesitation rough idle, nothing. I have 94k miles and I always done my oil changes @ 5k intervals and I have not had any prior engine maintenance done to the car....

I took my R32 to the local VW dealer today and they are saying they believe it might be the time chain tensioners. I am wonder if this could be a simple sensor issue since the car runs perfectly fine, I just get the engine light coming back on after 1 to 2 weeks of clearing the code. I have had this issue since January and I thought it might be the cold weather here in WI.

Golf IV R32 :: Intake Air Temperature Sender Signal Too High / Air Mass Meter Signal Too Low

I drove to the mall and left the car there, when I was done and tried starting, it fired up but the rpms started to fall and CEL came on. CEL are:

-16497 P0113 050 Intake air temperature sender-G42 Signal too high
-16486 P0102 050 Air mass meter-G70 signal too low

And after it died it cranks but never fires up. I called the dealership trying to find out where the IAT sensor is but they said it's in the manifold and not sure where. Where is IAT sensor?

I just got a R32, but its missing the wiring for the side markers as well as the outside temperature sensor. My assumption is that both are in the same wiring harness and that harness starts at the corner of the radiator on the drivers side of the car.

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: 12v VR6 Intake Shifter Rod Noise Won't Go Away

I recently noticed a rattling coming from my intake manifold and with little research I discovered it was the intake shifter rod. I ordered the new updated bushings and installed them today and the rod continues to rattle just as bad. My car only has 90k and I am unsure what to do to fix the noise. I am hesitant to order a whole new shifter rod because it could be the manifold itself too worn. I am just curious if there is anything that I may have overlooked or if there is anything I can do.

I only removed the standard air filter housing and fresh air intake yesterday to get access to the VSS and Speedo drive to change the differential fluid on my 01M transmission. I was surprised to find that there was a fine metal mesh screen installed at the entrance to this air intake tube. This would be located behind the battery and just behind the drivers side headlight is where this metal mesh screen is located. Anyways, this was easily disassembled to clean and reassemble. However, I did not find anything about this mesh screen in my Chilton's manual, but this is now on my annual maintenance list. I added some pic's to show the clogged air tube. I recently picked up a 2000 jetta vr6 for a very good price its a glx I have owned a vr6 before and done timing chains myself on it this one is a glx , I am having 5 fault engine codes on my vagcom they are cam position sensor , knock sensor, secondary injection pump, and mass air flow it ran fine 100 miles yesterday this morning the epc came on then went off and ran bad can these codes all be related or do I have to replace each sensor individually..

I have a 337 with Injen cai. Well, I have since removed the cai due to the fact that rainwater/water during a car wash will run off the hood and onto the top of the inside of the drivers side fender (under hood) and eventually run down onto the filter itself, thus causing it to become water logged. This of course is not good. My question.. I've tried so many things to no avail.

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: 2006 - OBD2 Is Missing From Its Cut Out

I bought myself an 06 MK4 GTI and loving it!!!!!! But, now to the problem. OBD2 port is not in its designated spot. I believe the previous owner had an aftermarket radio in the vehicle and put the stock one back in before selling it. Is it possible they could have pushed on the wires and pulled the port out of its little cubby hole? If I remove the radio should I have access to the obd2 wires/port? IF so is there a trick for removing the stock headunit or do I really need the special tab tools?

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Rattle Coming From Back Of Engine Near Intake Manifold When Rev A Little

I have a 01 vr6 mk4 gti. When I bought the car I noticed a rattle but never paid mind to it. But now I just want it fixed. I hear the rattle come from the back of the engine near the intake manifold when I rev it a little. The most rpms the louder the rattle . I been doing some research and came to a conclusion that it could be the shift rod and bad intake bushing. But, I'll like a link on how to replace the shift rod.

Passat (B6) :: Missing Duct Cover On Air Intake

This is my first B6, but my sixth VW so no stranger to them....

Bought this one a few weeks ago and just noticed it is missing the Duct Cover on the intake, so there is a large opening on the top of the intake pipe. Just wondering if this would cause a reduction in power or MPG?

The cover & Air Inlet Duct, which is cracked and the reason the cover probably fell off, are on order, but was curious if I should see any difference in the way it runs once these are replaced.

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Temperature Fluctuates Between 120 To 130 Back And Forth

So i decided to be a man and finish my 3.6vr in my gti project. Filled the coolant system with g13 and let the car run for a good half hour but the temperature only went to 130 degrees and would go back down to 120 and back to 130 and back and forth. With the heat turned on it was only slightly warm. Top hose was slightly hot and the bottom hose was just warm. So i tried massaging the hoses some more to let any air out and saw no bubbles. So i decided to go for a drive around the block and temps still stayed the same. So i'm leaning towards a thermostat but the motor was pulled out of a running passat with no problems.

Also its a brand new oem temp sensor

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: 2001 - Surging / Backfire And Missing

I just acquired a 01 wolfsburg jetta 1.8t and first time vw owner.

I just got the car and found that all the pcv ventilation hoses were crumbling and broken down. I replaced everything under the intake up to the y at the valve cover. All was in stock at the dealer was the oil cooler elbow, tee and pcv valve. From there, i made my own hoses using 3/4 hose and couplers.

Before this, it ran fine but sometimes at idle the idle would jump up and down but not die. I also had a couple codes, can't remember what the number was. One was O2 bank 1 sensor 1 lean and i think the other was O2 related.

Now, after trying to fix the leaks. CE light went out but idle still does the same but my boost improved from like 5psi to like 9psi wot. That's not an issue but coming home tonight when i went to second, it felt like it was dragging or not wanting to accelerate or accelerate and like stall for a second. If you blip the throttle it back fires while in second when its doing this.

Only mod on the car i know of is it has a forge DV/blowoff i guess is the correct name. It can be used as a dv or both.
