Golf IV / Jetta IV :: 2002 - Electric Windows Go Up And Down After Turn Off And Take The Key Out

I have a vw golf v6 2.8 4motion year 2002 and it has a few electrical problems. When ever i turn off the car and take the key out the electric windows still work and go up and down and i think its draining the battery but when i lock and unlock the car using the key they stop working. And the rear drivers side door is completely dead nothing works on it. What is causing this??

I've got a 2002 jetta. new ecu, new cluster, new keys (new to me from a 2010 beetle) all installed but my windows, door illumination, locks and electric mirrors dont work. Windows will go up and down with key in door, and locks work that way as well. if i put my old cluster back, everything works fine.

When it is hot out and the interior of the car gets really hot these things do not work: the electric windows will not work, the turn signals will not work, the display on the air conditioner does not work the blower on the air will not work but the air will come out of the defroster. All the dash lights come on abs, trac on trac off. After the car sits in the shade for at least an hour all these things will work.

I have an 02 GTI w/ 1.8t and 5spd. I was in the drive through and all of the sudden the ABS, ASR, and seatbelt lights came on and the battery light is randomly blinking. I got home turned the car off and went to restart it and when I turn the key nothing happens. I should also mention I recently have 2 cels for p0171 lean condition and bank 1&3 misfires that developed after I replaced a bad injector. Where do I even start?

I have a 2002 Jetta 1.8t w/tiptronic that my wife has been driving for a long time. The other day it stalled on her, which it has done before but this time it wouldn't start. I had it towed to the house and when I turned the key it sounded like the starter was spinning but not engaging the flywheel. I took the starter out and it tested fine. I put it back in and still the same result. I bought a new starter and it is doing the same thing. The battery is fine and the flywheel turns fine manually. I am stumped about the not cranking issue. I do realize that the stall and starter problem are not related but unless I can get it started I can't see how I can take care of the stalling issue.

I just bought a 2002 Jetta 1.8t today and have a few questions for some of you with vast knowledge on these cars.
1) When I lock the car the interior lights don't turn off, and about 5 seconds later the dash lights turn on. I sat outside in a lawn chair and waited 10 minutes to see if they would go off and they didn't. Would that be a faulty door switch or the CCM acting up?
2) Doing a 3" catless downpipe with 3" straight pipe?
3) Are there any major issues I should look out for? The car seems to be in pretty good mechanical condition, minus a loose exhaust hanger that rattles at idle. Not bad for 119,00 miles.

2002 jetta AC only works if I turn on and then start car
1- get in car, push in AC button
2- start car
3- feel cold air
4- will blow cold forever (if car is running)
If I am driving and turn on, it does not work. Seems that it trys to come on, kicks compressor for maybe a second then waits 5 seconds and trys to kick again. The pressures are high but in green (OK), when I first saw this I added a little Freon , it did not change characteristic.
When it does not work the rad-fan comes on and blows, When it works the rad fan blows as it should.
This is a 4-cyl 2.0 GL and does not have climate control...

I picked up my 2016 GTI S 4dr manual on Saturday. (Pics to come later)
When I turn off the car, I hear an electric motor start. The sound is coming from the engine area. I haven't had the car long enough to stick around and find out how long it runs.
What this motor is doing? The only possible thing I could think of is running an oil pump for a few moments to get cooler oil over the turbo.

Suddenly both electric windows started going up in hops on our '92 Pontiac Trans Sport SE.
If you leave it for 5-10 min. it would resume normal operation then it freezes again in a few seconds and so on.
- window buttons (left and right) checked-out ok
- driver window motor was changed an year ago - it doesn't have the same wear as the other motor
- both window lift mechanisms and guides are properly lubricated and work smoothly

My electric rear vent windows seem to have a problem opening when the temperature is cold outside. They work almost perfectly when the weather warms up, with the exception of an odd little glitch here and there. Generally summer is good, winter is a no-go. I understand this is a common problem ???
Even at the times when they don't open I can clearly hear an electronic click near the back pillars, with each push of the control switch up front, so I assume the current is making it at least that far and there is no problem with the wiring up to that point.
I have recently removed two used actuators (R+L) from a donor vehicle, and will likely be installing those into my van in the very near future. Although I believe they came from a close but different year windstar which did not have the exact same "rivets" through the window as mine does. External arms etc that can be seen do look identical as does the pivot ball.
#1. is replacement of the actuators a likely solution to the problem ?
#2. by chance, is it merely just an issue of dirty connections with my present actuators ?
#3. can / should I do anything such use dielectric grease on the connections of either my present ones or the donor ones upon replacement, to alleviate future recurrence ?

I have a Jetta 4.5, as you know this cars has a function that when the windows are open and you lock the car, if you keep pressing the lock button in keys of your car, the windows automatically closes.
The last week my car was full washed, the engine and everything, actually the Radio went into 02 Safe mode but I did a trick to fix it, but my windows are still with that issue.

Why it does not want to work. And to break it down - I click the unlock button once (as I have always been doing) and the blinkers blink 4 times and all the windows automatically roll down. I know that on newer cars that is a feature, but only when you HOLD the button, not click it.
Where the problem could be? Only thing that I'm suspicious on is the 'new' used lock I bought because the old one just didn't lock at all and wouldn't recognize that the door is open. But in the beginning it didn't do that and seemed to work as pretty much new.

I have a question about my electric windows and Radio being effected by the steering column tilt angle being adjusted, I left my car at a parking lot where they park the car for you; when I returned I noticed that the tilt angle was adjusted which I never touch but for some reason. The attendant adjusted it; when I was driving home I noticed that my windows did not work; so I readjusted the wheel and they began to work again, then I noticed if I don't put the key in the ignition just in the right spot the electric windows and radio won't work; lol ;Is this because the wires behind the steering wheel were pulled do you think; and if so I'm pretty handy do you think this is a fix I can fix?

I own a Elantra 2011 and I have a major problem. I cannot shift from PARK to DRIVE and my electric windows doesn't work either ! Everything else working fine and the car start normally !! The dealer cannot find the trouble and the car just have 19802 KM on it!!

Recently I had the dash lights, A/C blower, electric windows all shut down while driving. The car still drove ok, but nothing worked on the instrument panel, electric windows. After parking it overnight at home, all seemed fine except for a message saying the airbag needs servicing. What could cause this?

When holding the key to the lock position the windows should go up and if held to the left to unlock they go down. This rarely works on my car, i can sit there for 10 minutes and try it 100 times but it will only happen twice.

I have a 2003 jetta GLI (vr6 6 speed) that i received from a friend because of some body damage to the doors mainly. so i replaced the doors with some from a 2001 jetta glx, but the power windows don't work with the switches inside the car. However, when I put the key in the door and turn it, all of the windows will go up and down...(So the motors are good and they are getting power) the door locks, gas cap lid, trunk, sunroof all work and the interior lights work as well.
So i researched it and everyone said fuse #14 or ccm... so i replaced the fuse.... multiple times now just to make sure... After that didn't work, i bought a new ccm with the same part #. that didn't work at all... still same problems... I was wondering if maybe the new doors are or aren't CAN-BUS? if that even matters?

So i was installing a led light in the trunk of my car to replace the old halogens an when it came out a spark happened and now i am unable to use my key fob or roll up the windows, lock the car, or get in the trunk. Also already tried to reset both FOBs but they are not working.

My Gti has been sitting in my driveway unused for a couple months now. The condensation in it has been unusually heavy when parked. The carpet is dry, doesn't smell damp inside, no coolant smell. Windshield was replaced 2year ago never had a prob with it so idk if it's that that's leaking, but what would the signs of that be? But what I really think it could be is that my recirculating flap is stuck closed. Could that be it?
