2015 TSI Transmission Problem... Clicking sound, over the past few weeks clicking has got worse, rough idle, very abrupt gear changes when gearing down, gear gets "stuck" around 2200 revs and jumps back and forth. what do you think the problem is. and no its not dsg. has 5000 miles.
View 8 RepliesRecently bought a 2015 Golf Tsi. i have done around 4000 miles. there has been a ticking and a "coin rubbing together" sound when accelerating until about 2200 revs. dealer could not find the solution... the car has been very jolty, and at very low idle speeds, very rough and stuttery. The video shows the ticking. Could it be an exhaust/fuel injector problem? [URL] .....
View 3 RepliesI recently had my PCM flashed due to the deceleration safety recall. My engine now revs to 2200 rpm when I start it even if the engine is hot. It goes down to 750 rpm after about 30 seconds. My engine before the recall, reved from 1200 to 1400 rpm when starting. My dealer and ford tell me 2200 rpm is normal but I think it is too high.
View 7 RepliesI've noticed when encountering a moderate hill at 60 mph in cruise the revs might suddenly increase from 2200 to 2700 rpm, then back down slowly as I crest the hill. If I'm in manual mode it stays in 6th gear, but almost feels like a downshift. I also feel no accelerator pedal movement. Is this a two stage intake at work?
View 3 RepliesFirst time owning a VW (Nissan guy but got love for the VW). So I am having 3 issues
1. This is the major issue. My battery is not charging. I have replaced both Alternator and Battery so i know the issue isnt there. I took it to an import shop (I can't diagnose electrical issues to save my life) they told me the positive terminal cable needs to be swapped out. Before I put down money for the part and swap it out I wanted to know if this sounds correct (or at least like a possible solution)
2. While driving the turn signal clicking sound will randomly come on from 5 seconds - 2 mins and then turn off. Some days its worse some days it's not.
3. I think this is a solenoid issue but maybe I am wrong. For about a week the car would not shift to the next gear unless RPM's hit 6k. I mean I would have to floor it to get the thing to shift to the next gear. It shifts down fine. I haven't had the issue in a few weeks but I would rather take care of it if possible.
These are all electrical issues and it would be awesome if they all were related but i'm honestly only concerned about the first one as I can deal with the annoyance of the second 2. This is my first VW and so far me and my family love it.
I have a '05 V8 T-Reg (loaded with Air, NAV, and the like) and have the local VW dealership perplexed. The problem is when I am going up a hill and slowing down. While downshifting the T-Reg lunges forward while moving from 4th to 3rd gear or 3rd to 2nd. The car jumps forward and the engine revs. If I don't have my foot on the brake I would smack into the person in front of me.
Initially, the dealership (Day Imports, Monroeville, PA) determined it was the valve stems and replaced them (after keeping the car for 4 days). The problem came back and now (going on 6 days in the shop) they cannot find a solution. They tried a new shifter plate but the problem still exists. I'm waiting to hear back from the service manager about what VWoA should try next.
The T-Reg has 72k miles on it...
Purchased my '12 R a week ago. It's got 40k on it. I noticed that sometimes after disengaging from first gear, the revs climb and hang around 1500 for around a couple of seconds.
View 7 RepliesMy manual transmission got stuck in 4th because of a melted oil trough sticking between the gears. I got all the plastic out, and the dog clutches/collars are "free." But, I don't know how to put the gears back into neutral. When it's reassembled, the stick doesn't work to change the gears. How can I get the gearbox back into neutral?
View 19 RepliesI just picked up my new R (Rising Blue 2 Door w/ S-Roof & Nav) yesterday and love it, except for one thing. When accelerating and changing up through the gears, the revs seem very slow to drop after lifting off the gas and dipping the clutch to select the next gear. It is like there is a delay between me lifting off and the instruction getting to the engine.
View 6 RepliesSometimes while cruising at moderate to highway speed I'll go full throttle (to pass, merge, etc.), but the car just revs for about three seconds then catches a gear. It has happened in D and S mode. I've taken it in to the dealer and they checked for any codes, but there weren't any.
View 21 RepliesMy car will not leave first gear until the car reaches 60 x 100 revs 9 has heated up. After leaving first gear it shifts smoothly so I doubt its the transmission fluid, plus it's over 14 thousand miles and I was told not to change the fluid for the transmission. I think it could be a bad solenoid because when I bought the car the dealership wouldn't let me take it home until they installed a new one or else "it wouldn't leave first gear" if so witch solenoid would that be so I could replace it.

View 8 RepliesI recently starting hearing a very audible clicking/ticking sound in the rear that happens for about a second each time the car is started. After, everything seems to be just fine, but I don't know if this is something I should be concerned about.
I recently did some suspension work and I don't know if this is somehow related or if I'm now just extra sensitive to the sounds my car makes after the work was done. Perhaps the auto parking brake disengaging?
My 2010 toyota corolla LE headliner makes a clicking sound in the back. This usually happens when I go over a rough road.
View 4 RepliesMy sis drove the Phaeton yesterday and we had to go through some nerve-wrecking parking. The gaps were only a few milimetres across but luckily we made it through the lot in the end. Anyway, we had to do a lot of full steering turns (that is, when the wheel is turned to its maximum) and there's a worrying clicking sound that goes on until the steering is turned back from its maximum radius. Is it a problem or just a minor thing?
View 21 RepliesOver the past month, my car has been hesitating in 3/4 gear right around the 1900-2200 RPM range. The tach moves up and down (like a rev limiter) between that RPM range for a few seconds then it is okay. I notice it mostly when I get on the expressway. The car has 185000 miles and here is a list of things that I have replaced along with the mileage that I think might possibly be the issue:
Mass Air Sensor -163000
Tune up - 160000 (Plugs + Wires)
Fuel Filter - 145000
I checked through the forums and didn't see my particular issue. Thoughts on the issue?

But essentially today all of the sudden my car would sort of jump ahead, as if I when revving it back and fourth on the pedal aggressively. Not sure what could have caused this. Today was an essentially cold day so that may have something to do with it. Also my car overheats so I have to put anti-freeze in it most days. For the last few days I've been just using plain water, could this be the culprit? Why is my car jerking around like this?
