Had the car about 2 weeks now. Has happened twice already, when parked upon startup. Both go away within the first 20'. Today was extra special since "Front Lane assist" also decided to join the deactivated party Once a week is too much...
My guts telling me its prob just a faulty TMPS that automatically disables ESC when triggered??

2003 325xi wagon with just under 150,000 miles; one owner past 8 years; serviced regularly; no major mechanical problems during this time. 18 months ago the ABS, Brake, EML, ADB+T/DSC, SEL lights began to come on unpredictably and intermittently. Sometimes all of them; sometimes some of them; sometimes all at the same time; some times sequentially. Totally unpredictable.
The car has continued to run well with no problems except warning lights. Since that time the BMW- factory- trained- but- not -dealership mechanics have: replaced fuel cap, replaced idle control valve, replaced intake manifold adjuster, replaced front brake pads, rotors, sensor, oil separator, hoses, replaced throttle housing, replaced caliper and discs, replaced throttle housing (under warranty), replaced throttle motor and idle control valve. AND THE LIGHTS STILL COME ON! The car continues to perform without mechanical problems during this time. How to get the lights from coming on?

Does the prius v TMPS shows you the pressure in each tire or just give you a warning when one of the tire is low. How many MPG do we gain if we over inflate the tire to the max possible.

We've got a 2011 Prius with a little over 24k miles on it . For the last few months we've been having issues with it starting. First I thought the remote barriers were dying so I replaced them , I thought my wife might have been trying to start it incorrectly till the problem happened to me a few weeks ago. What happens is you try to start it (foot on brake, press power button) and all the warming lights pop up , radio turns on , navigation turns on but car doesn't start. This morning it happend just once , yesterday I had to try it maybe 10x before it finally started up. The dealership had it last Saturday and of course it started every time for them and they couldn't duplicate the problem , they also said they ran whatever tests they do on it and it didn't turn up a problem. FWIW we had the software recall update done in June.

On my way into work this morning, all the warning lights came on, along with the check engine wrench. My display was showing that I was overheating and the gauges stopped working. While this was happening, there was no noticeable change in the way the truck was performing.
After about a minute or two, the warning lights shut off and the gauges worked again as normal. The gauges did not show that the truck was overheating at that time. Another few minutes went by and the same thing happened again. Then the gauges came on and the warning lights shut off for the second time, it did not happen again for my 10 minute ride to work. On my way home this evening, this did not happen again.
The truck seems to be charging and the battery seems to holding a large as well. The truck is a 2015 F350 XLT 6.2 with about 9700 miles on it.

My 2009 Silverado 1500 with only 12,000 miles has begun intermittent display of all warning lights that are normally seen at start up. They stay on for 2-3 seconds and all gauges drop to -0-. When the warning lights go off, the gauges return to normal. It is not as prevalent after engine reaches normal operating temperature.

Intermittent brake warning light and steady ABS light. Master cylinder is full and parking brake is off. Had a problem last fall with ABS and found rear caliper sticking, so I replaced all rear pads, rotors and calipers. Front brakes look good and I couldn't find any loose connections on ABS sensors. Thinking possibility that master cylinder might be the problem, or maybe moisture in brake fluid, as it has been below freezing here in Wisconsin, but it hasn't gone away now that its been a bit warmer.

I have a 2007 Toyota Camry with electrical problems that started showing up recently. One day the check battery light turned on and about 15 minutes later the AC would lose power intermittently. After parking the vehicle that day I tried to start up and only heard a rapid clicking sound. I exchanged the battery since it was still under warranty and everything seemed to work fine for one whole day. The next day the battery light turned on again, followed by the ABS warning light, and then the airbag warning light. Within about 5 minutes the dashboard back light started flickering and other warning lights started lighting up randomly. Within a minute of that the car shutoff and would not start back up again.

Flashed to 1.5 v8.1 91 and had no issues with flash. Then tried to start car and all warning lights on and no start. Flashed back to Performance Pack stock version and again no issues with flash, but same problem, warning lights and dead car. Disconnected battery and reconnected without any change.

So, I'm not entirely sure if this has been covered, but I dealt with the bulb out warning with the LED tail lights. I am not running the fourth wire. I had tried searching for a while but found no answers. Most conversation about this issue are buried in old threads.
The usual DIY disclaimer applies. In the Central Electrics module (09), access Coding, then Long Coding. You will need to make sure that Byte 19, Bit 3 is checked (Diagnosis Rear Parking Lights Active).

I have verified all operations (parking lights, brake lights, turn signals [amber]) and no flickering as well.

My gas cap warning light came on this morning, I thought I would fill the car in case the cap is loose. After the car was refulled to the max, the car just started, spluttered for a few seconds as if it was going to stall, then after a quick rev it ran fine to the office. The gas cap light went out, but just before I got to work the check engine light has come on.
Is this a sensor breaking down or something serious?? I only have 16k miles

Today I noticed that my hazards came on while my car was parked. It's weird because when I opened my car to check if I had turned on the hazards (which of course I didn't), the hazards stopped flashing. I don't know what could have caused this.

Driving thru a parking lot slow and suddenly no radio-then I notice all dash warnings lit(abs-trac-cel) Park the car shut off ignition and then radio turns on-windows, locks etc all work on battery only. I turn ignition on-a moment of starting sound- then clicks no go. about ten minutes later I return and all is well?
Its about 90 degrees and humid--I think something may be overheating but I did not drive but a mile or so.

Started out of the blue. I stopped for gas and when I got back in the car, every little light in my instrument cluster came on and has remained on for weeks. Car runs fine - everything feels normal. Ignition switch, maybe?

ECU is going crazy, throwing all fault codes. When I turn on my car, it starts up and runs fine but the instrument panel goes crazy and all warning indicator lights come and a flash, I even get a stop message where screen is in the middle.

I have an oil pressure warning light on my 03' GTI 1.8t. It started as a sporadic issue, it would beep and flash for about 1-2 minutes than go away for about 20 minutes and return and repeat. I drove 130 miles on it due to an important meeting for work.
-I than changed the oil pressure sensor ( i found the old sensor housing full of oil ) and than the light stayed on after the car warmed up.
-I changed the oil pump with an OEM unit. Also changed the oil pick up- Issue still exists.
The light only comes on after 2-5 minutes of the car running. So I'm wondering if the oil is heating up and becoming less viscous than not allowing the pump to pump it as well or the sensor not picking it up.
I have oil and am not leaking it. I'm confused on what it could now be. I'm having it towed to my buddy's shop for him to take a gander when he gets a chance.I'm wondering if the cluster itself is bad.

I replaced a post-cat O2 sensor because of a code that came up last week. We didn't reset the ECU, but after driving it a couple days the check engine light went out. 3-4 days of driving and everything looked good.
Today the check engine light came on again and autozone read the code as:
P0136 - heated oxygen sensor - bank 1 sensor 2 (HO2S12) sensor range/performance condition
Explanation Open circuit or short circuit condition
Probable Cause
Poor electrical connection
check other service codes
Faulty Bank 1 Sensor 2.
Anyway, I thought it might be because we didn't reset ECU and some kind of calibration might be off in the system. So, I unplugged the battery in an attempt to let it discharge and reset ECU. When I connected the battery back up.... ALL THE FREAKIN LIGHTS ARE NOW ON THE DASH. Check engine... traction control.... tire pressure.... everything.

I have an automatic (ugh) 2002 Jetta 1.8T that is displaying some fun stuff. My kneejerk reaction is that the ECU is croaking but wanted to run it by some people with more experience/smarts.
Here's the deal. I don't get any codes, ever. Sometimes, when I turn the ignition to on (Before starting) all of my warning lights are dim and will flicker, and the gear indicator at the bottom of the cluster rapidly switches between each gear. If I start the car like this, I can hear the shift lock randomly engaging and disengaging. If I actually try to drive, it'll shift hard into reverse, shift normally into drive, and then drive in limp mode. I only drove this way three times before figuring out the next bit. Each time, either the traction control or air bag warning lights came on and stayed on.
I've noticed that if I turn the ignition to "on" and it's acting up, all I have to do is leave it on for a few seconds, turn the ignition back off, and turn it back on; sometimes it'll take 2-3 tries but it always seems to work. Then the warning lights come on bright and steady, the car starts like normal, and drives great.
So, is it the ECU? Is it demons?

After a couple thousand miles I have this intermittent vibration in what feels like the rear end being I can't feel anything in the wheel. It vibrates for a few seconds, goes away. Then vibrates for a few seconds and goes away. But even that timing isn't consistent. It could be good for a minute, then go back to every 3 seconds.
I'm way too busy to bring the car in so 2k later during the first oil change, I get the typical "dealer can't replicate". I was expecting it after I told them I do 75-80mph and they replied with "Well we can't drive that fast".
They make another appointment to have it in so they can start it cold (keep in mind I already told them it doesn't matter if it's cold as they tried to spew some BS about how the tires might have developed a flat spot overnight...) and I get a 2.0 Sport to use for the day and it does the same thing!
For anyone asking if it's the roads, it's not. My commute is 45 miles, 40 miles on the freeway at 75-80mph and half of that is on brand new concrete. I know, the new concrete could be bad but my 2011 GLS didn't do it! My wife's 2003 Saturn Ion 1 doesn't do it. My 2005 Impala didn't do it! So here I sit with a brand new Sonata that I love except for this vibration and I can't find anything online.

Just started happening today. Dash cluster beeps, all warning lights flash, then gauges and lights go dead while under acceleration or cruising. Upon stop and return to idle the dash starts to operate properly until I take my foot off the brake pedal and start to accelerate. Tried searching and didn't find anything. What are the possible causes?

Only had 2 cars with TPMS and the other one couldn't have the wheels rotated. So if I rotate the tires/wheels do I need to get the TPMS reprogrammed since the fronts will be on the back and vice versa?
