View 2 RepliesAre MK4, MK5, and New Beetles door latches interchangeable?
Looking at replacing my front passenger side latch.
The Mk4 part number is: 3B1837016CF.
The Mk5 and all New Beetles part number is: 3B1837016CG, the only difference being the G at the end.
I am wondering if the compressor for the air suspension is interchangeable with the one for air ride in the back of our 98 Windstar Limited. Ours needs to be replaced, and I am told that Ford no longer manufactures this part. Whether the same compressor was also used in another Ford model? I find it hard to believe that Ford would have designed and used the compressor in just the Windstar Limited, as very few of these were sold. Ford probably used the same compressor in another model also. Looking for diagrams or photos showing the comparable compressor in another model Ford.
View 1 Repliescan I put the alternator from a 96 ford taurus in to a 97 ford taurus? Are any parts interchangeable on different ford taurus's?
View 3 RepliesI contacted the factory and also a couple dealers. Officially, Toyota only offers the FOB and a valet key for the 2015 Camry LE w/o Smart Key. But I want a small, relatively inexpensive, water resistant, transponder key that looks like the valet key, but also opens the glove box.
My understanding is that the 2015 Camry and the 2013-2014 Rav4 both use the new "H" transponder keys.
are all Toyota "H" key blanks (ones w/o buttons at least) interchangeable?
Specifically, would the OEM "89785-0D170" "H" transponder key which I found online for the 2014 Rav4 work for the 2015 Camry too?
I have a 94 Ranger XLT with the sport seats that have the power lumbar and power bolsters.
The truck is getting a little "long in the tooth" but the interior is like new.
I have a chance to pick up a 2001 Ranger XLT with 50k miles that is in great shape but has the standard seats.
I don't know if the sport seats were available in 2001 but if the correct holes are in the floorpan for the 1994 sport seat setup?
I'm sure I can wire up the power for the seats in the newer truck and it would be nice to have the more comfy seats.
working fine the other day then all of a sudden both seats don't heat up? I havent had the time to start investigating so i thought id post something here first...
View 1 RepliesWhy my fuse for heated seats keeps burning out??? It works for a day then next day heated seats don't work.. Changed 3 fuses in last week!
View 3 RepliesWhat can I use to clean the cloth seats?
View 1 RepliesMy r does not have the stock seats in it due to theft. Now, my question is how can I get the air bag light to turn off?? I cannot get the seats for another month and need to have the car inspected !!
View 2 RepliesDo you have to remove the headsets before folding the seats down?
View 3 RepliesI went from cloth seats to leather in my 2012 mk6 and now i cant get rid of airbag light...
View 8 RepliesI have a question about the front seats in the GTI/Golf. I'm looking to purchase a 2010 3-door Candy White DSG GTI, and am super pumped! The front seats, when slid forward to access the rear seats, don't lock in the forward position? It seems like they should, I know they lock in the forward position on a friends 2008 Golf. Neither seat locks, which makes me think that they don't and I didn't have the owners manual to check. With all the thoughtfulness of VW, I'm guessing that I'm missing something, or the seats are screwed.
View 1 RepliesIs it possible to put RCF/GSF seats into an IS? If so, where I can get a set?
View 2 RepliesThe instruction manual gives several easy steps:
- Remove head restraint from backrest you want to fold forward (easy enough)
- Pull loop located on the front edge of seat cushion and fold it forward (wasn't too bad until you try to pull the seat all the way forwards and it just doesn't want to)
- Put headrest into seat
- Fold down backrest .
All those other instructions aren't applicable since I can't get past #2 in the instructions. Alright, so I pull the seat to the front, but it won't get all the way. Seems like this is in the way
By now I figure, heck I don't want to force it, so I'll just put the seat back and have the dealer tell me how. The leather wasn't really done well and it snagged on the seatbelt clip resulting in
How the heck you fold the rear seats down...I would say I am average to above average when it comes to mechanics and I have spent a couple of hours tinkering with the seat to no avail.
View 11 RepliesI bought a used 2001 Excursion. Neither of the middle row 60/40 bench seats will lift up.
The 60% (wider) bench seat lifted fine a week ago. Then I installed two car seats above them, drove it for a week, and when I took them out and tried to lift that bench seat, it seems stuck. I pull up on the lever, but the seat won't lift.
The previous owner re-upholstered the seats before I bought it, and there is no opening in the new upholstery for it even to latch into the base. So I'm very confused how it could be locked.
Similar story for the other 40% (smaller) seat. We actually just lifted this seat up and cut out holes in the new upholstery so that it could lock into the base. And when we finally pushed it down and heard it lock, after that we could not get it to lift. We pull the latch up and hear it unlock, and we can feel underneath that it is unlocked. Yet the seat will not lift.
I'm pulling with all my strength, but the seats are stuck.
I have a 2015 forester & the seats are not wide enough so my right leg rests on the front corner of the seat & after driving 70 miles my legs & back are hurting. I think the outback has seats 2 inches wider , that could work.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2010 Camry that was flooded during Hurricane Sandy. There was enough salt water in the car to reach the bottom of the front seats.
My dealer says that car should be considered totaled since the electronics under the seats are damaged.
What's mounted under the seats? The ECU? What else? Can I replace these units myself and be OK?
My wife has a 2012 Camry with cloth seats and integrated air bags.
I'd like to install aftermarket heat elements. I'm worried that I'll damage something with the airbags as I pull the covers.
I plan on disconnecting the battery, and then removing the seat from the vehicle however the built in airbag has me worried.
I want to mount the switch in the empty panel next to the traction control button.
Where is the closest fuse box on this vehicle?
I got a 2010 Prius with factory heated leather seats and problem is that they are always powered on, driver and passenger side, both of them.
When I press switch under the bar it makes click sound but does not make any difference, the light on the buttons are steady ON no mater you press it, hold it or anything.
