View 1 RepliesI just received a new bumper / grille assembly to put on my car, my old one got destroyed pretty much, I was wondering if there was a guide of some kind or a diagram that i can use to put this on? I'm a bit short of time so im looking for anything ASAP.
Any diagrams / Visual guides / tips and tricks of the sort, or even some pointers on putting the whole front end assembly on.
I noticed while parked under the sun for a while the front bumper expands, fully exposing the small cut outs or tabs usually hidden under the head lights. I brought it in to get checked out and being told that every clip and screw are in the right place. Later on that day I met with the mechanic, he explained that the bumper is a little different as far as mounting goes compared to other vw's leaving a weak spot.

View 16 RepliesWhat the square piece on the passenger side of the front bumper, in line with the GTI emblem is? The other day I noticed that it appeared to have popped out slightly. View 14 RepliesI just bought a 2011 GTI in Steel Gray Metallic. The first thing I did was remove the front license plate holder.
Doing that revealed 3 large holes (about 8mm), and 2 small screw holes. I'd like to repair this myself or have a shop do it.
Is there a relatively easy way to fix this myself (other than putting the holder back on)?

View 10 RepliesSo I'm trying to remove the rear bumper cover on a '15, but it has been a royal pain. I went in thinking that the procedure would be similar to what it is on the '14, but it is way more involved. The biggest issue I'm having is removing the large plastic triangular side bracket. It has these weird T-nuts fastened to the body, which you cant remove, and the whole thing looks like it would need to slide upwards to get it off, but you wouldn't have enough room because the shape of the body just gets in the way.

View 5 RepliesFinally got the Aeroworks CF splitters and spent some time to install it. Took me about 3 hours but I also took the time to put on some adhesive velcro for protection. And re-sealed one of my headlights
First I took off the bumpers. follow this guide

Then the rest is easy. Make sure to clamp or put a bucket under the washer fluid hose if you have the headlight cleaner option. Fitment of these splitters are almost 100%. right side was perfect, left side has a slight gap but its like 1mm ... very small.
Just line it up, and drill 3 holes on the bottom and 1 on the side. The splitters came with screws and some fasteners. Easy to install. I put some 3M adhesive tape as well just in case . I stuck some Heavy Duty industrial velcro strips on the underside in case i rub.
I have a '12 Elantra Limited and I'm planning to smoke the rear bumper reflectors. How to remove them?
