Golf/GTI VI :: Heat Just Quit On Coldest Day

So on the coldest day we have had - 22 C with the wind, all in all not that cold but my heater decides to stop working. I am talking like not even I hint of hot air. Coldest ride i have ever taking part in. Needless to say vw had a unhappy person at there door when they opened. But to my amaze there are about 10 others with the same problem when i arrive. Do i here a recall on heaters? all models were 2010 and 2011 jetta, golfs, and gtis.

The door in the dash wont go to defrost. It just quit today. I assume its vacuum controlled. What do i need to do to fix it? I thought about pulling the dash vent where i can reach in there n have a look but it doesnt want to come out. 1992 Toyota Camry....

I have a 1997 Mazda b4000 new plugs wires head gasket an I cleaned out the radiator. My question is the truck runs good but my heat quit workin what could it be all fuse look good. Also there is water coming out of my tailpipe with white smoke. Should I be concerned.

Have 2009 F350 SD Lariat SRW and looking for a way to troubleshoot the driver seat heater unit. The panel light comes ON when depressed but the heat quit working the other day. It was working fine and the passenger seat works great?

Now that the cold weather is here I wanted to fire up the seat heater, and no heat was to be had. The buttons on the dash light up. Both seats are out. Car is a 2011 TDI with 39000 miles and the cold weather pkg.

Noticed earlier today that my one-touch opening quit working on my sunroof. Release the switch and the sunroof stops moving. Push it back (to open) and it switches directions from whichever direction it was last moving. Hold it until it opens all the way and keep holding it, and it will start closing again (instead of stopping). Pushing the switch forward, backward, or tilting it has the exact same effect - it moves the sunroof in the opposite direction of the direction that it last moved.

Out of the blue, months ago, the A/C quit working. I rarely used it prior so I can't say for sure if it was losing "coolness." It may have been. And other than hearing a slight hum or whine after turning the compressor off, which it has done since almost new everything was fine. Although it did, recently, before the A/C died, begin to overheat while waiting in traffic. Never did it again.
I have not done a bunch of troubleshooting other than adding some refrigerant and monitoring the fans and A/C clutch to see if they cycled, which they did not (assuming I was reading the fan process accurately). The gauge did read low, I filled it to the green zone, the compressor clutch engaged, level dropped, I added, it cycled, then dropped, all the while still blowing hot air. I quit doing that but it remained on the low side of green.
The car has 180k miles and runs great. I'm getting ready to sell her after 11 years but really need the A/C working to get anything out of it in the South.

The other day I was driving and the air just quit. No screeches bangs or anything. I checked all the fuses and realized my main fan wasn't working.
I replaced both fans but still no air. When I push the button on the dash for recirculate my brake light on the instrument panel comes on.

My car was having a strange power issue after I went stage 1+. This occurred 3 separate times and always at the same moment in acceleration. I would be on the highway on ramp shifting from 5th to 6th and the car would just die, the turbo completely quit functioning. When this occurred the car had no power and would consume fuel like crazy. Each time this happened it was over 90 degrees outside. If I parked the car and let it sit for 10 minutes before re-starting it would be back to normal. Since going 2+ this has not occurred. I don't know if this was a protection mode implemented by the ecu or what.

The AC on my car (2002 Jetta 1.8t) quit blowing cold. Did some troubleshooting and...
1. Checked Freon- level was ok
2. Noticed cooling fans were not coming on with AC button pressed and ignition on. Fans also not coming on when car up to temperature, but gauge never went above normal. Seems strange considering I live in Houston and it was 95+ out.
3. tested fans with direct power and both high and low are fine.
4. jumped terminals 1,2 and 2,3 on plug for cooling fan switch and fans turn on high and low...so thought must be bad cooling fan switch.
5. Replaced cooling fan switch and still no fans or ac when AC button is pressed and ignition on.
6. replaced Fan control module. Still no fans.
7. Checked Freon once more...and although it was in the ok range decided to add a little more. (was in the middle of ok range, and a cheap gauge)
8. Compressor kicks on, along with cooling fan. End up using the 1 can I had and now have cold air and fans that come on when hitting the AC button with ignition set to on position.
I thought the mkiv cars would always turn on the fans when AC button is pressed with ignition on? Or does the compressor also need to be charged?

So after replacing the entire clutch assembly, coil packs, plugs,valve cover gasket, thermostat housing, blah blah blah basically a tons of new parts. I get her up and running and notice my heat only works when under throttle...yup water pump...but wait what's that milky substance under the valve cover cap now never ran hot but appears to have blown the head gasket as well. Doing compression test this weekend..

Is it just me or does the R have a tendency to get a little warm by the gas pedal feel the heat towards my leg right by my shin and knee is this normal??

Heat on HIGH
Drivers side dash vent and defrost will blow fairly warm air, but no where near the 120 it should be on high
Pass side vents ( all ) blow cold air.
Car heats up fine according to the dash gauge and doesn't overhear.
I've run VCDS and there are no fault codes pulling up, so I am at a loss. With the temp being -15 with the wind-chill, it's a damn chilly drive into work. At first I thought it might be the heater core, but that wouldn't explain the split dash issue.

I don't know if this is just me or not, but in my R when I have the heat on and turn it gets cold like there is a draft coming from somewhere. It happens in my girlfriends gli too.

Ordered my TBE couple of weeks ago, installed last week. I have been running the 100 octane tune for an entire week. Decided a couple of days ago to put it back to stock to see the difference. When I was running the 100 oct, I was pretty much on it the whole time. When I went back to stock I noticed some heat shield noise so I took it back to have them take a look. While on the lift I noticed a lot of soot in three different places.
