Golf/GTI VI :: DSG Squeak When Holding It

I'm almost always on manual mode and when I hold onto it, it tends to squeak with any subtle movement of my hand. Do I open it up and add grease(not sure on how to do this)? Take it back to the dealer to fix?

I hooked up the battery charger to it last night and let it run for about 12 hours. It was pretty hot to the touch and the charge only went up about 20%. I decided to unplug it and charge it later. About 3-4 hours later I plugged it back into the battery charger and it went from 40% back down to about where it started yesterday- 15-20%. It seems like it's not holding charge, and wondering if I should go with another RedTop or get something else entirely. Thoughts? I bought this about 5 years ago.

Only had my R32 a few months, but when i drive it after leaving it stood for a while (basically from cold), i find i am unable to accelerate briskly (not trashing from cold, but for example pulling out of a junction) the car feels flat like it's holding back, once over 3000rpm(ish) it seems to suddenly jerk into life.
In the lower revs you can put your foot to the floor, and whilst there's more noise the car feels very sluggish and lumpy.
But once the car has warmed up, and the temperature gauge has been sat at 90degrees for some time, the car will wake up and drive totally normal.
I have the 6463 software update, i also have the latest green top coolant temp sensor. There are no fault codes, or misfires registering on vag-com, and I've cleaned my MAF sensor (plus done idle and full load logs which all look fine).

When holding the key to the lock position the windows should go up and if held to the left to unlock they go down. This rarely works on my car, i can sit there for 10 minutes and try it 100 times but it will only happen twice.

So I've been noticing some issues with my 2011 GTI with only 1800 miles. I had some weird drive by wire issues, like the motor holding its RPMs with the clutch in for excessive time, a start up and idle issue (TPS?), my passenger window is very slow (heard that this is common), and now my driver window hesitates and pauses when rolling it down... ERR!
And yes I will take it to the dealer, its just that I live 100 plus miles away.

I have a squeak in the rear from my V3 setup that I have been trying to diagnose for many months. I finally measured the spring and perch and have ordered these thrust bearings to try to eliminate the problem. For reference V3 rear springs are 60mm ID on the upper side which contacts the perch. I'll post if it solved the problem.

When I start the car I can hear (the engine I think?) squeak only while it's turning over, not after it has started. I also hear this squeak when I put it in park, reverse and drive. I don't hear it while the car is running, so I'm thinking maybe it's the motor mounts?

Alright so my brakes squeak a lotttt and its really annoying and embarrassing. They feel fine stopping power wise, i dont get vibrations and the car doesnt pull to either side, I looked at my pads and it looks like i have a 1/4in left on them which im pretty sure is good. I really want this to go away... do we have electronic sensors telling us we need new pads? Untill then ill be partially using my hand brake to reduce the embarrassment.

I noticed this Squeak sound from the engine bay when i give it any gas, doesn't matter what gear your in but you can hear it the most in second gear.

I have a 2013 2.5L Golf (Highline from Canada) that every morning when I go to work and every afternoon when I leave work, the brakes squeak for the first 2 to 3 stops.
It doesn't seem weather dependent, just cold dependent (now that it is cold in Canada).
Is this normal for a set of stock Golf pads? I am pretty sure its coming from the rears.
Out of all the cars I have owned (1973 BMW E3 Bavaria, 88 E28 535is, 01 E39 540i), none have ever made this much noise in the morning, no matter what the conditions were like.
If this is normal for stock pads, I will probably put a set of aftermarket ones.

got my new brake set up installed about 3 days ago. Adams double slot rotors, ebc redstuff pads. I put about 250 miles on the new set up after bedding in the setup. Im now getting a squeak from the fronts when i hit the brakes normally. Is this something that will work its way out or is there an issue?

I bought new brakes for the R, Hawks HPS pads with ECS tuning 2 peice rotors.
Me and a friend installed them in June. I went threw the break in procedure written on the box that came with the pads. The brakes work fantastic, they stop the car so much better than stock but the problem I have now is that loud squeak when braking normally. If I do a hard braking no squeak but I can't do that all the time, my passengers are going to hate me hehe. The squeak sounds almost like metal on metal grinding. When I inspect the rotors everything looks fine.
When installing them I used the paste that came with the pads and installed the metal backing that came with them too. I can't seem to figure out what I did wrong. Haven't really had time to take everything apart again either but I think I might do that this weekend but before I do that is there anything I should have on hand?

A relatively loud under hood squeak at idle has developed.
Applying some pressure to the metal fuel lines by the engine works.
Is this noise associated with the TSB that addresses the fuel line noise under the passenger seat ?
It seems to be a different issue.

So last night I washed the R, pulled it out of the garage to squeegee the floor, and brought it back in. Then I heard this weird squeak chirp sound... tracked it to of all places, the engine compartment of my R! Thought I had a mouse in there.. didn't find anything.
So tonight I took the wife out for supper. Got home, parked the R, same sound, but only faster! Here's a video of the sound, sounds like it's coming from the engine bay for sure. Weird, right? I did some googling and didn't find anything else. Seems like it must slow down when it's colder. Because last night it was once every 30 seconds or so.

When it gets really cold out, I start getting a good strong squeak from the back of the car when the rear suspension gets worked hard (i.e. twisted). I suspect the bushings on my H&R rear sway are the culprit. Greasing? With what? I don't want to use a lube that eats the rubber part of the bushing, or does any other damage.

I have a squeaky noise coming from the front of my R. Here is a recording from inside my garage: [URL] .....
A few observations:
- I would say it is coming from the belt on the left side, but I can't narrow it down
- It doesn't sound like the hamster wheel sounds I've seen in the archives, but I haven't ruled it out
- It doesn't change when the clutch is depressed
- It tends to go away after a 30+ minute drive

Recently I've been noticing a squeak sound coming from my transmission when releasing the clutch and accelerating into the next gear, or when first taking off from a stop while releasing the clutch. At first my pedal itself was really creaky and that went away and now this. My R has an APR stage 2+ tune, flap delete, VWR intake, BB turbo back, APR hpfp and a south bend stage 2 daily clutch put in about 12k ago.

My brakes (still OE) have been loud as crap lately. Car (and thus the brakes) has 41,000 miles on it.
I don't believe they are done, because i see plenty of pad, and the wear sensor hasn't come on, plus the squeak isn't constant (pads that have the metal squeal bar make noise consistently when they get to it, IME). If I brake hard they are usually quiet, it's only light pressure that is doing it now. I know about the common "noisy when cold" that our brakes do, but mine have been doing it in warmer weather as well, and it's getting really annoying now.
I'm guessing that if I just take it all apart and put brake grease behind the pads and on the slides, this should quiet things down?

I took the car for a good cane tonight and when i got out of the car I heard an intermittent squeak coming from the engine. Apart from the normal - 'tic tic tic tic...' every now and then i heard a fairly faint but clearly audible squeak. Which sounded like it was coming from a fast moving part - like a pulley or something, and every few seconds would emit a squeak. I turned off the engine, waited 2 min, turned it back on and the sound was gone. Strange no?

I'm pretty certain that my 22mm neuspeed sway bar bushings are shot. they squeak like crazy and when I looked at them to grease them up it looked like they had space, oh and they knock like crazy. Any better source or place to check locally? Would Napa carry something like this? and is Poly my only option? would a rubber bushing wear quicker?

I had my car detailed last Saturday, and now I'm hearing squeaks from around the door seals whenever the car flexes (going over speed bumps, around corners, during rapid acceleration, etc.).
I wonder if they used something to clean the door seals that's causing the squeaks.
