Golf/GTI VI :: Bi-Xenon Lights Start Up Sequence Changed All Of A Sudden

So those of you with bi-xenons know what i mean, when you start up your car it does that leveling sequence.
My car: 10 GOLF TDI 6MT
I put key in, turn it half way to everything comes on, clutch in cause its always parked in gear w/ hand brake on
so clutch in, I turn the key car starts up, as soon as i drop the hand brake lights come on, and they used to do:
LIGHT UP
Level Down
then would go out in opposite directions
then Level back UP to normal position.
Well today i noticed and just confirmed again when moving car after a wash, that my lights now:
Light UP,
Level Down
Level back UP,
it now skips above middle step
Why's that?

I just bought new DS1 8k bulbs to replace my aging 6k bulbs. It was a sinch to install and seemed too good to be true. Well i turn my car on and the check bulbs light came on and low and behold the lights do not turn on. The dealership said it would not matter whether I had 6k before and bought 8k but it seems like this might be the issue.

Pulling in to the underground car park at work this morning I noticed that my nearside Xenon has gone from a nice bright white colour, to a dirty pink. The offside is still shining brightly - does this mean the bulb is on it's way out, and if so how much is that going to cost!?!? The car will be 4 years old in October - does this seem a little premature - if it's not a failing bulb could it be something more sinister.

So my Passat won't start. Last night I went to turn it on, and half way through the start up sequence it quit. Now when I turn the key I get nothing. There's power to the headlights and everything, and the mechanic I've talked to said it's probably the battery anyways. When I do turn the key, you can hear the clicking under the hood, so I'm semi-optimistic that it's not the starter.

Bought car(2008 r32) from US brought to Canada the dealership activated my DRL which are xenons and also low beams.High beams are same xenons but use shutter .Other two lights are inactive .Did the dealership screw up on the VAG COM??Dont think this is normal.Are the two other lights the inactive ones xenon also?How do I fix?What is normal?

I went to start my 07 Subaru Outback 2.5i yesterday morning with both kiddos in the car and it seemed to begin to start and then just seemed to stop the starting sequence. When the key was in the ignition in the on position, the lights work, the radio works, everything thing besides the engine seems to work, BUT above the odometer there was an error reading "Er HC', and the temp gauge was as high as it would go on H but the car had not been run for over 24 hours at that point. The fan to the engine seems to be running also when in the on position which I do not remember happening normally, maybe it is always on when the engine is on but b/c the engine is not on I can now hear the fan?
Tried over and over again to start it but the engine never made another sound and every time the lights would turn on and the error message would appear over the odometer.I ran a scan for any engine problem codes but it said it was clear. We tried jumping the car, but the battery is fine (all lights come on, radio works etc). The car has never missed any maintenance and has always had its oil changed every 3000 to 3500 miles. The car has 62000 on it and just (in the last 1500 miles) had its 60000 mile tune up at the dealership.
We had the front two control arm bushings replaced at Les Schwab (b/c it was less then 1/2 the price of the dealer), they were cracked, but all the other stuff was normal and really they were changing fluids etc. at the dealer and didn't replace anything. Our car has never had any problems besides the control arm bushings just being replaced and now this. We had to have it towed to the dealership and it has been there now for over 24 hours and they have told us 'we have never seen this problem.

So I started up my 12v VR6 the other morning and it sounded like a Subie. Threw the awful code P1340: cam/crankshaft sensor out of sequence, and took it to the shop. I'm being charged $1900 for servicing the timing chains, only. Doesn't include water pump and clutch like every other shop does. Reason for this is because in Montana, no one works on these cars. So I this is my only route. I had to choose this small euro repair shop or the VW dealer.
But, they just recently called me and told me I need to get the timing gears changed or whatever? They want to charge an additional $600 or so to do that. Are these gears a real problem? or are they just trying to F me. I mean, $1900 should make this car flawless as it is so I feel that they are attempting to rip me off even more.

I have a 2007 ES 350 with Xenon lights, a while ago the driver side light went out and I had both lights changed at a Toyota Dealer with after market parts, because they said the original parts are too expensive to buy. anyways after I changed the bulbs , the new ones are dimmer than the original ones, why this is happening? also don't know whether they switched the ballasts or not, now my passenger side light is going off and coming on the next day. How to address this issue? or where I can find the original parts?

Past couple of days I've had a warning pop up for "Check lights" sometimes even before i have turned them on although I do have arrive depart set to activate. On looking around all seem to be OK apart from maybe 2 leds within the tail lights. It does seem to go out within a couple of mins of actually setting off as well so clearly somethings sorting itself out.... What to check next? they seem to be working fine, I can see them autolevel when I pull up behind a car and the car settles on its suspension etc.

I just lowered my car with H&R springs and I did the flash to pass vagcom change. When the car is still and I turn on the high beams or flash it, everything is fine. Is when I start moving, and then put the highbeams or flash it when the xenons starts flickering mimicking a strobe light and is giving me an error message on the display, right or left beam dipped error.

Is it possible to retrofit the Bi-Xenon headlamps onto a Halogen-equipped model? think i finally found the exact car i'm looking for. One has everything i want, but it's halogen, the other has bi-xenon but missing a couple things in the "want" list.Would much prefer the first one, if the bi-xenon can be easily retrofitted.

My AFS Xenons seem to shake / jiggle over bumps. Yes, it's the lights jiggling and not the car. It's really annoying. Is it due to the AFS mechanism? Essentially the bulb floats for AFS purposes and does not have any real hard mount to the frame? My previous car had xenon's that were rock solid.

I changed the bulbs in my fog lights as the older ones were very dim. Went to fire them up and nothing. tracked down the fuse under the steering wheel (43 I believe) and it was blown. replaced the fuse, still no fog lights. Checked new fuse, and it is fine. changed it with a different one (you never know) and still no fog lights. Is there a separate fuse/relay somewhere else that I may be missing?

about 18 months ago my 2008 LS 460 wouldn't start after numerous attempts and displayed an error saying "Check VSC...". While waiting for the tow truck, I hit the start again randomly and bam! car started up.
The next morning, the car started up great again so I drove it to the dealership and told them about everything that happen. They said it was probably a bad battery. They changed out the battery (it was 26 months old) and said everything would be fine. A couple weeks later the car would jump and lurch during slow speed accelerations so brought back in. Nothing could be replicated so took car home. Car kept acting up and went to another dealership. After having the car for 3 days the mechanic replicated the issue and said a chip needed to be reset. After that....LS was back to great self.
Then today, car won't start and get "Check VSC..." error message. It's Sunday afternoon, so just called auto parts store and get new battery. Put new battery in and "Check VSC...." error message gone, BUT car still won't start.
When push button, hear one click and then nothing. All the lights come on, AC can blow, stereo can play, but car just sits there. Checked the battery cables for corrosion and while there was a little on the old battery the cables look good.
Is there any type of reset I can do that needs to happen after changing the battery or anything like a Windows reboot that can happen? I get the sense this is all computer issues and not actually anything mechanical. My LS only has 87k miles and has followed all the maintenance recommended so I'd really like to break 15 years or 200k miles .

About three weeks ago while driving my Prius and accelerating the car jerked suddenly and warning lights came on. I was able to read the above codes with tech stream. The car still drives but has limited horsepower. The engine also does not seem to rev down like a normal hybrid. I have not had good experiences with the local Toyota dealer.

I put a re manufactured alternator in my 2000 f150 with the 5.4 liter. Now all the lights flicker, go dim and then come back on bright again. I noticed when the lights dim, the heater fan speed also drops. The light flickering is constant and bad enough, that I can notice it in daylight also with the headlights on. It is really noticeable at night with the truck in drive (or any gear for that matter) sitting at a stop sign or sitting still in my driveway. I changed out the old alternator because it was making a loud chattering noise. I didn't have any trouble with the lights or fan with the old alternator. Why doesn't the battery volt gauge in my instrument cluster fluctuate all the time while it is doing this? It reads in the normal range all the time and doesn't move. The flickering lights are also noticeable at highway speeds, its just not as bad.

On my way home tonight - As i was making a turn near my home i got a bunch of warning lights that came up. Red Triangle, VSC, Check engine and i believe the Brake Warning (The little Circle with the ! inside).
The Car drove fine till i got home (only about a mile away at that point). Looked under the hood- nothing that stuck out as being busted but only a quick glance. If i still get the lights in the morning, Off to the dealer. Don't have a Code reader so cant pull anything here at home from the car.
If its related or not is the A/C seemed to get a bit weak in the minutes before the lights turned on - I remember intentionally cranking it up which is something i normally don't do. because the A/C is normally great in the car.
I have to say in the 4.5 years I've had the car - this is the first time I've had this kind of issue. The battery died and had to be replaced like 9 months ago but i didn't get the amount of warning lights I am getting now.

Although the 2009 Accents don't have automatic running lights, since I got the car I'd just been keeping the headlights turned on. (Yes I know this will cut the life of the lights themselves but it's not a bad safety step for a small car).
This worked well of course - the headlights would come on when the car was started, headlights and parking lights would go off when the car was stopped.
I've done nothing different but in recent weeks however the parking lights have been staying on quite often - though not ALL of the time. While I can't rule out I've done some quirky thing differently that somehow keeps the lights on, googling around and searching this forum indicates that this could be an issue with a relay box which may be costly to replace but still under warranty (I'm under the 5 year 60k mile warranty still)
Now bear in mind, this isn't a situation where the headlights are turned off and stay on - it's just a change from having the headlight knob always on, but the lights would go off when the car was stopped and keys removed.
Obviously the "fix" is simply turn off the headlights when I get out of the car - but I am concerned that there's an inexplicable change and wonder if it's a sign of larger issues regarding a relay that should be addressed while it's under warranty.
I know - very minor in the grand scope of car problems but I do worry about larger electrical issues, especially since the parking light issue seems to be erratic - sometimes it goes off, sometimes it stays on.

Went from right around 18 to 14-15 last 2 tanks. No codes, drives absolutely normal. I have had my 4x4 lights flashing, but the 4x4 has never worked (suspect its a combination of the transfer case motor and the pulse vacuum hubs). Used to flash like this when I would try the 4x4 switch and would take a while to "get back to where it was happy". Recently I have not messed with the switch or anything else.
