Jun 10, 2010
If I have APR stage I and have the AWE exhaust available to me, could the APR chip be returned to match the AWE exhaust, even though the numbers may not be as high<

View 2 RepliesI just took delivery of my 2004 325i and forgot to ask the dealership to program the key so the car would make a sound and would flash turn signals when I arm/disarm the alarm.
View 14 RepliesRecently, I've been looking into making a copy of my ignition key for my 2005 Camry SE. I bought a blank on eBay, had it cut to fit my master key, and it works fine for locking and unlocking the doors. However, since it is a Transponder Key, apparently I need to program it in some way to use it for ignition.
I've been looking all over for instructions on how to do this, and have tried this commonly repeated method, with no success:
1. Simultaneously depress and release brake and accelerator pedals 1 time.
2. Insert an original Master Key into the ignition but do not turn it.
3. Within 15 seconds depress and release accelerator pedal 5 times.
4. Within 20 seconds depress and release the brake pedal 6 times and remove key.
5. Within 10 seconds insert New Key into ignition but do not turn it.
6. Within 10 seconds depress and release the accelerator pedal 1 time.
7. Now sit and wait for about one minute until the security light in the center counsel stops blinking and turns off.
8. Remove new key and depress and release brake pedal 1 time.
9. Test your key now. It should work if you followed the instructions. If not, you may want to try the following instructions:
To reiterate, these instructions have not worked for me.
Have any other 2005 Camry SE owners managed to program a key successfully? What method did you use?

View 3 RepliesIn my generation 2 and 3 Prius, the Nav allowed me to program several destinations along the route of a trip. I can't figure out how to do the same thing with the Prius V. Does the new Nav in the V not have this capability?
View 7 RepliesI just purchased a 2007 w/ Nav and evidently the last owner only had one key/key fob so I ordered another from the Toyota Dealership. I took the car today to have it programmed and to make a long story short, they were not able to program the key.
View 9 RepliesBought the 04 Solara with just the Gray Valet key that has the transponder in it.
Valet key will start the car but not lock/unlock the glove box or truck lock.
Do I need a black Master key to program a new transponder key?
or can I do it with the Valet key since it has (I think) the same transponder chip?
I just bought a used 2009 Camry, which has a remote starter installed, but my key will not operate it. From what I understand, the original owner lost the key that was programmed to work with it, and the replacement key does not. I have four keys: one is entirely metal, one is black plastic with no logo, one is black plastic with Toyota logo, and the last one has all the buttons which pop the trunk, and remotely lock and unlock the vehicle. I tried using the key with all the buttons to remotely start the car, but nothing happens.
View 3 RepliesI just bought a 2004 Phaeton V8. So far, it's great.
But I'm having trouble with programming the Homelink garage door opener. The instructions in the manual are the same as other cars I've owned - hold down buttons 1 & 3 until the light blinks, then press the button you want to program while also using the remote you want the car to learn. But when I press 1 & 3, no light begins blinking - I can't even find the light on the panel!
But i have a 99 silverado 5.3l z71(new body style) bought a new key fob to program but my truck will not go into program mode. Ive tried the hold unlock then cycle ignition and the turn signal version but neither one worked....

View 3 RepliesHow I can go about programming my smart key remotes to the memory positions of the vehicle? I had it all set up from the dealer and since then they had to disconnect the battery for something and now I don't have that feature. It was setup where I can walk up to the car and unlock it by the remote or door handle and it would put the memory position to that remote?
View 4 RepliesI have heard that there is a way to program the FOB so that when you hold down the UNLOCK key for a few seconds the windows and sunroof opens.
is there a way to program this ourselves? Or is this only available at the dealer, and if so, will there be a cost associated with it?
