Golf/GTI VI :: AC Gets Very Loud And Vibrates Entire Car When Idling

When I turn my AC on nothing happens. I get no air, hot or cold coming out of the vents on settings 1, 2, and 3. Then when i turn it to 4 cold air blasts out. It also gets very loud and vibrates the entire car when I'm idling.

I have a Golf GTI IV 1.8T Tiptronic and having this problem when the car is Idling i can feel the engine vibrations trough the seat and are anything but soft, especially if the trany is neutral and less if leave it in D.
I've changed the dog bone recently, wich was very bad, but the vibrations didn't smooth they remain the same but the driving improved, so the dog did replacement was good.
The next step would change the engine mounts, but they look goof and I don't want to start change parts just in case. Where I live car parts aren't cheap and some times new ones are just crap.

I have a Elantra GT 2014 with about 7000 miles on it. It has been running great, pretty good gas mileage, about 28.5mpg combined. However, I do have a small irratation with it. Sometimes, during my drives, if I stop at a Red light and put my car in neutral gear, I felt the engines does a strong vibration for a few seconds sometimes. It's kinda annoying. Is that a sign of a problem for the engine in the future? or am I just being too picky?

I have a '98 Saturn SL2(?) and it's loud. My dad bought it for me at an auction 2 years ago and I haven't had any major problems with the car minus the loudness. The only thing that's been replaced is the radiator but the car was loud before that. And by "loud" I mean that the engine runs pretty loud. One of my older brothers told me before that my car sounds like a tank. It does get quieter as I drive the car more but still overall pretty loud. Also, my car vibrates sometimes- varying from a small vibrating noise to vibrations strong enough to vibrate my rear view mirror.
Now I haven't had any major problems with the car (as I mentioned before) and I'm wondering if I'm just used to my parents having quiet cars and the loudness is no big deal. I might need this car for a fairly long drive soon and hope that maybe my car is just meant to be louder than most.

How to remove the entire headlight housing? I want to pull it off and open it up for there is some condensation inside the lens. I just need to know which screws and stuff to remove.

I'm having my rear emblem painted gloss black and body color. I need to remove the entire rear hatch latch. A friend of mine said that there is a link on vortex that explains how to take it off. I tried finding it, but had no luck. Don't think I'm searching correctly.

I have an 02 f150 ext cab fx4 with just under 140,000 miles my first problem was when I shift from reverse to drive I have a loud clunk/bang I was trying to find out what was wrong so my brother in law was looking out the drive shaft he pushed it into the rear end now when I am over 65mph and take my foot off the gas I have a vibration but only when I take my foot off the gas and above 60-65mph the steering wheel or peddles don't vibrate but the floor does .

I am looking for a honest, (if there is any such thing) mechanic to keep my 2002 Saab 9-3 running. I am currently experiencing a loud noise while the car is idling. This is my only means of transportation and I cannot afford a car payment at this.

i just recently got a 1983 dodge B-150 van with a V-6 Motor when its idling you can hear a loud hum coming from the engine compartment. But when you start driving it goes away. But soon as you come to a stop it starts humming again i took it to the shop the mechanic found a few vacuum leaks.and repaired them all but could not find where the hum comes from.even after he did the repairs it still hums and it is very very irritating to hear. I still think it has a leak somewhere because when ever i turn on my A/C it blows out threw the vents just fine but soon as you start to accelerate the air stops coming out of the vents but if you let off the gas pedal fully the air comes back on which is a killer in this Oklahoma heat.

When spooling my turbo, or even when im in idle, it almost sounds like there is a leaf inside it. the noise was barley noticeable before, but now its quite loud. What this could be.

So my wife's Tig has been acting a little goofy lately since it got cold out. The RPM's are almost always around 1,000 & the dealer says that it's set for 920 from the factory. In warmer weather, it idles at 800 RPM (like on my Tig).
Which is odd right there, but something they can't change they say. Anyways....so when it's idling high, when it's cold outside, there is a loud moaning/howling noise from the passenger side engine/dash area.
It only happens with your foot on the brake & in drive while idling. If you drop it to neutral, it doesn't do it. Only in Drive. So needless to say, you hear it at every stop light.
It's pretty intrusive and can't be missed. Even my wife, who is oblivious to such things, mentioned it to me. So I took it to the dealer and they clearly heard the noise too. A week later and no updates until yesterday.....He says that all their FWD Tiguans (auto trans) make the same noise. Only the 4motion doesn't. So they're just saying "they all do it," so it's normal.

A few weeks ago I was driving in the rain. On a section of I-287, there were quite a bit of puddles because it was downpouring. All of a sudden the car got much louder than usual when I'd accelerate and the entire car would vibrate. I had never experienced anything like this so I pulled over thinking I had a flat tire. This was not the case... and I got soaked haha Never figured out what it was. Just thought it was some random thing.
Anyway, last night I was driving home and in the same section of road, the car acted up in the same exact manner. It was vibrating enough to make change in my cupholder jitter around! This time, I noticed that there were only puddles on the driver side of the car though so I figured I'd experiment.
On the rest of the way home, I went through some puddles on the passenger side and found that they did not cause this to happen but when I went through puddle that were on the driver side of the car, it'd happen everytime for at least a few seconds before the car returns to normal.

I have a 3.6 4motion and recently after i started it up just now too, it made a diesel like weird sound, and the RPM revved up to like 3500 then went back to idling.

I have a problem with that, when i'm in a low height with my car, i turn right and the hole car vibrates, like rubbing in the axle, its no heating the frame, both sides are new, i change because of that, check everything, also change engine mount, top mounts are camber plates, running bags over coil, and all suspension its new. only part thats original are the front bearings, can be the bearings?

My Chevy Venture 2003 approx 120 thousand miles is idling high at times. It will drive fast. I can feel it speeding up even when I am not pushing on the gas. When I put the car in reverse it flys backward (I have to keep my foot on the break to back up at a safe speed) and then when I put the car in park the engine is VERY loud. Again, this does not happen all the time. Usually when I drive it over ten miles. I thought it might have something to do with the AC, but I played around with that (driving with and without the AC) and that did not factor in it.
I took it to my own personal mechanic and he couldn't find anything wrong with it. I then took it to a dealership and they said they couldn't find anything wrong with after doing their hundred dollars worth of diagnostics and said they needed it to actually be doing it..what they called a hard fail...for them to know what was going on. . They drove the car for quite some time and nothing happened. I drove it all this pass weekend and nothing happened. It might go a week or so without doing it. Thenn it does it. Usually I can turn the car off and restart it and it will be back to normal. The check engine light is NOT on. Any clue as to what might be going on?

A lot of sections of the highway I frequently use is now repaved. Even on smooth looking highway sections, I feel vibration (bumping feel) from the seat and/or floor (also a little from steering). My hip and/or legs feel vibration.
I road force balanced wheels once, and then ordinarily balanced once again. I still feel vibration. I drove the same highway with 2012 Hyundai Veloster and 2012 Mazda 3 hatchback. With those cars, the drive is smooth (no vibration) on smooth looking highway.
2012 Golf TDI is my first car with sports suspension.

My car now vibrates when slowing down and it only happens between 2-2.5k rpms! Also now the car has been idling higher at a standstill. The car will be fine then it will rev up to 1k.

I have vibration in my 2012 Golf R at highway speeds. I noticed it right when I drove it off the lot. First I thought it's because the tires had a flat spot from the car sitting a few months on the lot, but it persisted.
The steering wheel vibrates very slightly and I can see the front passenger seat vibrating as well. I know it's not normal. I checked my tire pressures and they are all at 41psi as per the door sticker.
Messed up factory rim/tire balance in the R? How about hub or driveshaft imbalance?
