The tire light warning just came on. I checked the pressure of each tire. It is about 32 psi each and they are about even. I tried to reset the tire light via the glove compartment but the light instantly come back on. What gives? Is the pressure too low?

View 18 RepliesHad the first flat, and after it was fixed, screen warning and yellow TPMS light don't go away. Does it reset itself automatically after 'x' ignition cycles, or do we need one of those TPMS tools to reset it? No mention of this in the manual. Need to know before I blame Discount Tire for damaging the sensor. But since they don't charge to fix flats, don't know if I'd be able to get anything from them.
It's a 2011 Sonata Limited.
A couple days ago my tire pressure warning came on. I checked the manual to see if there was a way for the MFD to tell you which tire is low. I couldn't find anything. Do I have to go around and check each tire for the proper pressure? If the car knows the pressure is low shouldn't it know which one? Also I'm wondering after only a couple months of ownership why my tire/s are low on air.

View 14 RepliesAbout a week ago my tire pressure light came on indicating that my tire pressures were low, I checked all 4 immediately and they were all around 35psi so I figured the light would correct itself after a little while. Fast forward a week it's still on, I tried clearing the code with vagcom, but it comes back immediately after it is cleared.
I'm assuming the warning threshold is bogus, how can I reset it?

Last night after I got off of work I fired up the car and the Low Tire Pressure Warning light lit up accompanied by a chime sound. I checked the tires they were fine. I stopped by a gas station with bright lighting and the tires looked fine. I checked them again in the garage when I got home and they were fine. Why did this light come on? How do I turn it off? About 1400 miles on my R as of last night.

I checked the glove box and there is no reset button (which I read should be there if you have the new tpms system that works with the abs system). I have the Canadian Highline 2012 Golf. I read through the manual and didn't find anything about tpms. Does this come with the GTI only?

View 3 RepliesI have a 2007 Passat Wlfsburg Edition with 4,300 miles on it. In the message center it stated "Tire Pressure Too Low!" There is also a tire yellow warning light lit. I checked the tire pressure. They were all at 30 psi. I inflated them to 33 psi as stated on the door jamb. The light and message are still there. I checked the owners manual and it doesn't say how to reset it or anything. What should I do?
View 24 RepliesSo tonight I'm driving on I-80 and all of a sudden I hear a thud, the TPMS light comes on and a warning of low tire pressure. I get out to take a lot and the rear left tire is practically flat. Changing the tire was pretty easy once I figured out where everything was in the tray.
So now I'm in the market for a replacement tire as there was a huge hole in tread. I have a about 3000 miles on the car. Would you get a replacement tire that is the same make/model as the rest of the tires, or would you simply get a cheaper replacement? Once I am ready to replace the rest of the tires, I'm not sure if I would replace them with the OEM make/model anyway. At the same time I'm not sure how long the OEM's will last.
My warning light for my tire pressure came on, I fixed the tires and now it won't go off. Is there a reset button I need to press? I can't find it in the manual ...
View 48 RepliesSo here in the Northeast, we are under a deep freeze. This morning I came out (4 degrees) and my "warning low tire pressure" light was on. I got out and the tires looked fine. I have no gage. I stopped and put a little air in anyway and still was on. I also was having new tires put on today and I picked the car up and thel ight is still on. I drove away from Mavis without realizing this. But, the tires are all inflated and I am sure they inflated to factory specs. Maybe the TPMS needs to be reset? Is there a way to reset the light? I didn't see it in the manual on how to do it.
View 17 RepliesIt was very cold in the morning yesterday and my tire pressure warning light came on. I had a funny feeling that it was related to the temperature but it didn't ever go off so I called Toyota today and they said to drop by with it and they would check it out. On the way there after work I got rear-ended. So sad. I thought it was just the bumper but the hatch won't latch properly so they said they would have to 'pull something out...". It was going to be about $800 for a new bumper but now will be more. I'm going tomorrow to see their collision guys about a quote to fix it. My poor car. I have to admit that even with a dented bumper the car still looks good!!! I don't know how I'm going to manage for the two days it takes to get it fixed. I have to re-learn how to use one of those key things.
The Toyota service person told me that he had 14 cars in today alone to reset the tire pressure warning lights that came on because of the cold weather. He said my tire pressure was fine. Just my bumper needs a little work.
I just bought a 2007 prius and after a few days the tire pressure light went on and off for a few days, I since measured pressure and filled to the exact amt. and now the light stays on all the time {approx 5 days now} manual says contact toyota dealer, I have no money for that and do not feel anything is wrong.
View 7 RepliesI just got 4 new tires installed, running 235-40/18 setup (stock wheels.) On the drive home, the flat tire warning sign came on. I've tried to used the SET button in the glove compartment to deactivate it. That did not work (it flashed one time then stay on).
I check the pressure on all 4 tires and they're all at exactly 40PSI. What the problem could be and how to turn this pos off without going to the dealership?

View 8 Repliesthe indicator light is on because of the cold morning. All four tires are a few pounds low and I correct.
Back inside the vehicle, the indicator is still on! I get out to check the spare but, cannot because the valve stem is on top! And, my shirt is all dirty!
At home, I lower the spare and check/add air. Raise spare, put tools away. Now I know how to lower the spare.
Our basic Chevy vans at work let you know tire pressure in each of their four tires.
