Golf/GTI VI :: 2011 - EPC Light And CEL Came On

To start off, I have a '11 gti (33,000miles currently)with apr tuned stage 1 with CAI and catback . I've had the CAI & exhaust before the stage 1 tune before and it ran fine yesterday. I finally had to take advantage of the APR sale so I decided to tune it stage 1. The car ran fine after the tune on that day. (Just in case you might want to know, I tuned the car yesterday). I decided to go out for a drive this morning to get gas. All of a sudden, the car sounded weird and started hesitating (engine vibration). I pulled over to the side of the street and turned my engine off to cool things off. Once I started the car again, the check engine light came on blinking I believe if I remember correctly and then the EPC light came on also. I had to drive it back home since it's a Sunday and all the VW dealerships are closed (either service or parts department). I couldn't drive the car properly since the car was hesitating and felt like it was going to shut off. The engine certainly sounded weird and I believe the car was in limp mode I guess. I was wondering what can be the problem? I'm assuming it's probably a bad coil pack?

The tire light warning just came on. I checked the pressure of each tire. It is about 32 psi each and they are about even. I tried to reset the tire light via the glove compartment but the light instantly come back on. What gives? Is the pressure too low?

I have a 2011 GTI with a Stage 1 APR tune. My friend and I installed an APR Carbonio cold air intake a month ago. We let the car idle for 10 minutes like the directions said after the install and followed all the directions. We then took the car out for a drive and once I hit the gas hard my check engine light came on. I haven't noticed any loss of power. The code I got was the P0299. I reset the code and drove the car carefully for a few weeks and no light. After I hit the gas hard again the light came back on.

Noticed today that when I was in a parking garage the gauge lights were off, but when I pulled out into the sun they slowly illuminated. This must mean there is an ambient light sensor, which I didn't know, and can't that be tapped for an automatic headlight retrofit?
Have a 2011 TDI is that matters.....

How do you remove the city or parking light bulb in the 2011 GTI, without the HID projector headlights? I have the regular halogen set-up...I want to change them to a super white bulb to match my Xenesis bulbs.
I know its the 194 bulb, I just can't seem to pull it free...

I have a 2011 Jetta TDI and the drivers side tail light on the trunk is out. I opened the trunk and popped the cover off the rear of the tail light and it seems the connector is loose. I tried for about 10 or so minutes to get it back into place but I couldn't. I don't know if the connector is broken or if my hands are just too large to fit into the area. I plan on taking it back to the dealership to get them to fix it. I just picked up the car. Is this a sign of wiring issues or just someone at the factory jamming a connector into a hole so they could move on a couple of seconds faster?

My 2011 Camry LE 4-cyl has 48k miles. Today I was driving on the highway during very heavy rain. My vehicle slip indicator light came on, along with my check engine light. I stopped at Advanced Auto for a diagnostic check. They said they couldn't be sure if it was a sensor, or maybe a wiring issue.

I just had my oil changed today and while driving home the red airbag light came on in the instrument cluster and the passenger airbag light on the dash started flashing. When I connected the passenger seatbelt the flashing light went off. While in the dealer also tightened some screws in the center console. I have an under the seat subwoofer that is VERY snug...could that have damaged something when the seat was slid back?

I recently bought a 2011 GTI and then made a trip back to school. On the highway over the duration of 305 miles, I was only getting 23mpg. This was calculated using the trip and fill method. This car should be getting 30+ on the highway right? The tank this occurred on was premium, however the previous tank, the salesman I purchased the car from, had put regular in it. Would this affect the fuel mapping or timing for more than that tank? This is worrying me because my car stalled twice immediately after startup the day I picked it up ( which I attributed to the car sitting for a while) this happened on two separate occasions and has not happened since. I do have an extended warranty and want this taken car of.

This evening it's -12C, I've driven the car for about 20mins, it's warmed up to the "90" mark on the temp dial, and when I turned off the car, and removed the key, the fan was still on. This has never happened before, and considering it's this cold out (it's been warmer and this has yet to happen in the near 2 months I've owned it) the fan running while off has never happened. Should I be concerned?

So the lease on my '08 A3 is due to end soon, and I'm looking for a replacement. I had hoped by now that there would be several hybrid hatchback cars from which to select, but apparently ... not So I'm considering a TDI ... looking at the Golf TDI or the A3 TDI; bummed that the GTD won't be avail in the States anytime soon.
If the A3 TDI had quattro, it'd be a done deal ... as it is, the A3 is only avail in 2wd, and appears to have a 5-7k premium over a similarly equipped Golf TDI - I'm wondering : where the big difference is. I believe they use the same engine, drivetrain and transmission; so in your opinion, what are some of the things the A3 TDI brings to the table, over the Golf ... other than the Audi brandname, natch?

I'm a little bummed that the only thing that shows in the mfd in my 2011 Jetta SE is the time, outside temp, fuel, and total/trip miles.
Is it possible to upgrade to the one I'm guessing comes in the SEL?

I have 2011 GTI 38000 km on it.
so I understand radiator fans run up to cool turbo on a hot day after shutting off the engine.
It was 32 degrees out yesterday but I didn't hear any fans running except high pitched electric motor sound.
I'm worried about if there is something wrong with the fan... I hate to go to the dealership because they will charge me 70 dollars
if they can't reproduce the problem.. doesn't matter even if you have warranty.
Both fans run when Engine is on and A/C is on with low speed.

I have owned and driven a 2011 Sonata for the past 9 months (12,000 kms). In the last two weeks the eco light on the dash has delayed coming on until the car has been driven for five minutes or so - usually around three kilometers. Once it comes on, it will function in the normal manner and will come on the moment the car moves even after it having been parked for a while. My thought is a sensor problem or a loose connection but I am not sure.

Right i have a question about my fogs, Is it possible to have the fog lights come on when i unlock the car? I have HID kit in my fog lights and they are a cool blue colour. Would love them to switch on automatically when i unlock the car, but only for like 10 seconds though. How to do this?

I have a 2011 Sonata Limited, and have had no problems with it until now - the low gas light came on while I drove to work with the fuel gauge showing more than half a tank just before that.
I stopped at a gas station and put $10 of gas in just to be sure it wasn't wrong, but started it up again and the light stayed on.

So I ordered the fog light kit from Shark Racing and received it today. I took of the bumper and installed the lights. I also connected the hot wire to the battery and the ground. However, there's another wire that's supposed to be routed through the firewall and connect to the provided switch. Is there any way to bypass this? I just want the fog lights to come on when the lights are on. Actually, I don't even care if the lights are on, the fog lights can be on all the time. I just don't feel comfortable routing a wire through the firewall and also taking the steering wheel off to put the new switch on.

I just picked up my new Golf tdi yesterday. When the headlights are on so are the interior footwell lights on either side of the console. They are dimmed, but I would like to turn them off.

II noticed some oil spots in my driveway and wasn't sure if it was my car, so I put cardboard down and a couple hours later there was oil on it! I put the car up on ramps and there was oil all over the bottom of the oil pan, transmission and you could see where oil had at one point ran down from the top of block where the transmission mounts, but it wasn't fresh like everything else. Also, the diverter valve was covered in oil. I do have a forge dv spacer and the upgraded diverter valve installed and was wondering if this could be the source. The weird thing is that there is no trail that I can see from the diverter valve area to the oil that has collected on the bottom of the engine.

My car is a 2011 gti 2 door 6mt. I have a catless 3" downpipe, afe intake, nitto neogens, bsh inserts, and apr stage 2 tune. Last night at the track my first run was 15.4 @ 95 mph with a clean launch. 95 degrees at 1160 ft 80% humidity. My best run was 14.7 @99 mph 85 degrees out. It seems like I should be getting much better times. My 60 ft was around 2.5. I was launching around 3k feathering the clutch with the traction off. It was hard to get the car to hook up but the 14.7 run felt solid on take off.
The Nitto Neo Gens definitely hooked better cold. When i shifted into 3rd the car felt like it did not have power for a second then it put me back in the seat. It did the same thing in 4th no power for a moment the bam. Its not like the barely noticeable delay from the electronic throttle/lag it was very noticeable. I dont know whats going on with the car. It may have just been the track prep/heat. I raced a g8 with an intake and exhaust and he only ran a 14.4 with a clean run.
