After the update the phone still pairs no problem. Haven't tried Bluetooth audio but when making calls connection appears to mute? The call doesn't drop and I can hear the caller but they sporadically can't hear me.This is in my wife's 2011 Golf with RCD510.
View 1 RepliesLiving an hour away from the dealership I decided to visit a local shop for an oil change. After the oil change, none of my cell phones would connect to the car. I have never had any issue with Bluetooth connectivity and find it suspect that after the oil change these issues arise. I suspect that someone was trying to reset a service indicator and did something else. How this can be fixed?

I can't find any reference to this in the manuals. If not available is there and aftermarket cure for this. I would like to add Bluetooth and satellite.

View 7 RepliesI have a 2011 Prius III without Nav. It has bluetooth pairing, and pairs with the Galaxy Nexus phone (android) to make and receive calls just fine. However, there seems to be no way to play music through the phone? (I currently have an audio cable which I plug into my phone. But for various reasons, this is far from an ideal solution for me.)
I have contacted the Toyota dealership where I bought the Prius and they seem to think this does not work. However, can this really be the case?
(1) Is there something I'm missing in order to play music through bluetooth on my phone?
(2) If there isn't, what are my after-market options for doing so? (I don't need navigation or anything else.)
Wondering if you are stuck with the default "0000" code on the bluetooth setup to my phone bluetooth? If so, HOW do you change that default code?

It may well be that my iphone is not working correctly, but I'd like to try everything possible to fix this issue.
By searching this forum, I learned that sometimes erasing/resetting bluetooth module will solve the problem, but how exactly can I do that?
I have a 2011 f250 sd that I removed the front grill and noticed 3 of the clips that hold the lower part of the grill in (bolts on the top) are broke. I went to the local Ford dealer for the clips and was told I have to buy the whole complete grille for it. The parts breakdown doesn't show the clips sold individually from the grille.

While the call features work great, all of the other sounds from the phone are completed muted when connected. No text message or any other push notification sounds can be heard at all from both the phone and the car's sound system.
View 23 RepliesI just purchased a 2012 Hyundai Sonata GLS certified pre-owned. When I connect my phone the car, an iPhone 4S, the Bluetooth does not allow me to control the audio on the Hyundai Sonata.
Also when I connect my iPhone via a standard USB cable, it does not allow me to pause the music. Whenever I pause the music on my phone it stops for a second and then keeps playing. When I am connected via USB, I am able to control song advancement. I am just trying to find out if this is normal for this car?
2011 LS 460 with Nav. I have programmed abut 60 numbers into my car.
The Bluetooth seems to be working just fine, however everyday when i leave work my phone s not recognized because it has recognized another phone. Once I re-establish my phone it works fine.
I am wondering if the generic Bluetooth security code that Lexus has is allowing other phones to link to my car and then my phone disconnects. My parking lot has quite a few Lexus
I want to change the security code but wonder if I do this if I might lose my contacts I have entered

IHeart Radio has stopped working. Getting a connectivity error. Pandora works great.
Verizon Samsung S5 and a 2014 ES 300h. Phone has Android 4.4.4 with the latest Lexus Enform app. I've deleted and repaired the bluetooth connection and reloaded the Lexus app on my phone.
Also, bluetooth will randomly disconnect when making calls occasionally.
Got a brand new 2013 GS350 fsport. 2 weeks in, dash rattles. Dealer pulling whole thing out, says no big deal. Bluetooth connectivity issues, android connectivity doesn't work. Dealer says wait on new app.
View 14 RepliesThe other day the plastic top piece of my shift knob broke off (that had the shift pattern painted on it) and it made me once again want to replace the stock shift knob. I was considering buying one, but other than TWM I can't find any that I really like, so I want to machine one myself. My biggest problem in planning right now is what metal to use, SS is nice but expensive, and how to attach it to the leather and the stick. The only way I can think of attaching it to the stick is with set screws which would be hard to drill.
View 1 RepliesOver the past few months I've been hearing a popping sound from under my seat when I move a certain way and figured it was just the cold or another new sound well today I found out it was the seat frame mount and it finally snapped, pictures to follow.
Went to the dealer they quoted part/labor is gonna be around $1000 so I took it to a friends shop to see if he can weld it or if it's too far gone, should be getting it fixed this week, for now it's zip ties and really cautious driving.
One of the nozzles on the back of my intake manifold broke off. I don't know how to better explain it. The ones the back of the manifold closest to the firewall there are several hoses that hook to the manifold. The second one from the left broke.
View 7 RepliesI was putting on the H& R sports springs tonight and was onto the last corner, front passenger when one of the 3 ball joint bolts broke off. It was so rusted that the nut didn't want to come loose. I used too much force and out came the piece. Do I just go buy a new ball joint at the local VW dealer and swap it out. I didn't touch the other two and the car is still driveable. It's the middle one, exactly as shown in this photo from the DIY.
View 6 RepliesIn the process of selling my mk4 gti 12V, anyways. this morning while taking pics I went to pop the hood and the lever (one by the pedals in car) felt really lose and it didn't pop the hood. I'm assuming the cable either broke or disconnected, oddly enough it was working fine last night. Is there a way to get the hood open without the lever? I know my way around a car, just have never encountered this problem...
