How to get my Satellite radio ID?
View 2 RepliesHow to get my Satellite radio ID?
View 2 RepliesEvery now and then, my satellite radio fades in and out. I cannot pin it on rain as it sometimes happens when it is clear. I can hear programming, but only 1 second samples, with fuzz for a second then again, 1 second of programming.
View 1 RepliesIs there some way to store favorite songs? My stand alone radios would do that and I believe Ford satellite radios will do that. I can't figure out how to get this one to do it. I'm afraid it's an area where Toyota is much inferior to many others.
View 2 RepliesI just got my Prius Four, not IV, 2013 and the satellite radio stations are already preset. How do I delete theirs, then save my own?
View 4 RepliesI've got a 2011 five with the tech package and the satellite signal comes in and out every few seconds. Hiss, music, hiss, music.
It does this until I turn the car off and on. Sometimes it takes more than once.
Changing to FM, AM, USB and back doesn't fix it. Called XM and they reset it 3 times and it didn't fix it.
It's been doing it at least once a week now.
I just bought a satellite radio-ready 2008 Prius. Although the audio system does not toggle to satellite radio when I push the AM/SAT button, there is a satellite radio antennae on the dashboard.
View 1 RepliesJust got my 06 Prius. The screen shows that Audio Off. The radio doesn't want to turn on. What could be the issue. 06 Prius with nav, Bluetooth, JBL etc. Everything else seem to work except the radio. Fuse perhaps?
View 3 RepliesI've got a 2010 Prius IV that I got back in July of 2010. My car's only option is the navigation system. I have not made any modifications to the car, with the exception of tinted windows.
View 2 RepliesIs this normal? I noticed the radio volume changing constantly during a drive to and from work. Radio keeps losing HD signal. I thought it was San Diego but last week, I drove to Orange County and listened to 102.7 which should have strong signal and HD radio was still going in and out.
View 19 RepliesI have an '08 prius, no Nav or JBL, with a little over 50k miles on it. My radio and MFD have recently stopped working. The MFD screen is off and unresponsive. The buttons around the MFD are lit, but pressing them doesn't do anything. Same for the radio, it's off and won't turn on - the buttons are lit and pressing them does nothing (except the button to eject the CD works). The steering wheel controls for the radio have no effect either.
View 9 RepliesThe radio in my 07 Prius gets louder by itself.
I crank it to 25, and can watch it go up and up. It doesn't always happen, but all of a sudden I'll find it's very loud and check the setting and it's u past 30.
My 3 months is up and I don't want XM. Any way to get rid of the icon so that the mode button doesn't cycle to it?
View 3 RepliesI recently purchased a Prius. I had Sirius set me up with a trial membership and send a signal a number of time to my radio, but it keeps resetting to zero. I've tried turning the radio on off--the "tech support" at Sirius told to take car to an audio shop to check it. I frankly do not think it could be a problem with the radio--everything works on all other channels and channel 1 works with the previews. I don't know what an audio person could possibly do--I think the issue has to be with Sirius.
View 2 RepliesMy Sat radio in my PIP cuts out in a lot of places. My wifes car doesn't do this in the same spots. Is this a warranty issue or does the Sat radio have a smaller internal memory then most cars and can't handle trees, small hills, etc.
View 16 RepliesI have been noticing a more frequent failure in my XM radio. I sucked up the extra $2000 for the GPS and use the XM radio every day, but lately, the radio cuts in and out or does not come on at all. I have to restart the car and then it will come back. The FM and AM don't fail but the XM is failing more and more frequently. My problem is it will be very hard to recreate since it only does it every once in a while.
View 3 RepliesConnected a portable XM receiver and it has power and is receiving a signal, but the only thing not working is sound. Radio says everything is connected, but no sound.
View 1 RepliesSo the trial period of my sirius has come and gone and I lost all sat radio service ~ no surprise there, BUT, all of the sudden it's all back.
Including the traffic option.
Just started driving a 2007. I get a loud hum when listening to XM radio on a Delphi Roady XM receiver. Audio out is plugged into the iphone jack. How can the hum/static be fixed?
View 5 RepliesI have a Prius v five ATP, my wife asked if its possible to leave the screen set to the radio. I haven't figured how to do this yet. I usually have the trip info displayed, but if I hit the radio button it brings up the usual screen displaying the radio info for a minute or so (or however much time that she's changing the stations) but then switches back to the previous screen.
Is there a way to set the radio as a default so it doesn't switch back to the previous screen? Or use the split screen function for this?
I use an USB drive with my other radios. Is there a way to get an adapter to allow a USB drive to talk to the Prius radio, without going the IPOD route? Don't have an IPOD but plenty of USB's with music...
View 1 RepliesI have 2010 Prius IV with the JBL 6 disc changer radio. The last couple of weeks the volume starts to cut out when it gets hot out and it is currently getting worse in cool weather as well. It cuts out with the forward movement of the vehicle (think of a playing card in the spoke of a bicycle wheel). Then eventually it cuts out all together until the car sits overnight and cools off. When the sound quits the volume nob no longer functions. Its stuck on what ever volume it was last at. The steering wheel buttons also don't work for the volume. The rest of the radio seems to function fine, can change channels, modes, etc. I can reach under the passenger seat when this is happening and the amp is not hot.
I know the JBL amp does most of the work, but how do I determine if it is the radio that is broke, or the amp? I've pulled out the radio and made sure everything was plugged in, same with the amp. Also, because of this, I plan on replacing the radio with an aftermarket unit. If I determine the amp is good I will just get the PAC TATO, but if the amp is bad and I put in an aftermarket amp I need to know how the JBL speakers are wired. I know they are 2 ohm speakers, but how are the woofers wired into the squawkers, etc?
