View 2 RepliesCan the backup camera on the v be adjusted? Objects that are actually close look much farther away.
View 2 RepliesI tried everywhere I could find today to turn on grid lines for the backup camera. I couldn't find them anywhere. I can't find anything in the owner's manual I downloaded either. What is the secret to getting grid lines to make backing up that much better?
View 7 RepliesI recently bought aftermarket CCD camera kit from eBay for my 2014 Prius-II and got it installed by best-buy geek squad. But camera is not working due to power problem. According to best buy technician, Prius factory harness is not supplying power when car is put in reverse gear. I am not sure how to address this problem.
View 9 RepliesI have a 2005 Prius and the original NAV DVD in the nav. system. I want to make a backup copy of this DVD for safe keeping.
View 7 RepliesMy Prius has a forward facing camera for LKA and a backup camera. Any hack to record the cameras' output to a USB stick while driving? Something that would record and retain the last 24hrs of video would be nice. Just to serve as evidence if an accident occurs and the cause is disputed.
View 1 Replies2011 Prius III with Navigation package and love it, but I noticed my rear-view camera display shows no grid lines on the screen while in reverse.
View 10 RepliesMy wife has a 2010 camry le, and I am interested in possibly getting a higher end backup camera that works with a rear view mirror (the car does not have a nav screen).
I hear some of these cameras are infrared as well? It would be cool if I could use a Toyota system (OEM). A mirror like this would be perfect:
I have a Prius 2 (non nav) and would like to get a backup camera installed.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2015 Pius C Two and would like to install a backup camera. There are a lot of various kits available for purchase, but most (if not all) of them are being wired to some external monitor. Looking for info about installed such camera and wired it to the screen?
Also, is there a concern of voiding a warranty?
My backup camera seems to have all of a sudden lost its aim such that the alignment marker is higher on the right than it is on the left meaning that the edge of the bumper is higher on the right as well. It just happened all of a sudden and seems to be pointed a little to the left. Any way to adjust it or is this one for the 5K mile checkup?
View 4 RepliesOver the past few months the contrast on my backup camera has been getting worse. It's gotten to the point where almost the entire picture is very hazy. I've gotten obsessive about cleaning the lens but it doesn't do any good. How to correct this issue?
View 1 RepliesI always listen to my Ipod in the car, but about a month ago the AUX button doesn't do anything when I press it the button is like this [CD AUX] but when I press the AUX side aux mode doesn't come on, but the CD side works. I took those plastic wheel trims off , it looks way better. I was looking on here and found out how to get into system check mode on the display and it gave me these codes for the radio, can't figure out what they mean though.
View 13 RepliesI have a 2007 Prius and the MFD started to work intermittently and now has died. It is an 86110-47230. Is it more likely the MFD unit itself died or does the wiring in the dash sometimes go bad. Everything I have read suggests the MFD. My backup cam doesn’t work since the MFD died, and that is a safety issue and should be covered under some type of Fed safety regulations on a five year old car, but apparently not.
My battery tests good. Wiring connections on the back are connected well. Before I buy a used MFD and install it myself, I want to get an idea of the odds that it’s the MFD or wiring that is the problem.
My backup camera is only working about 20% of the time with no pattern to it. When I shift into reverse I get a bright white screen with colorful vertical lines in it. Everything else about my display works fine. Is there a way to reset something on this? Every now and then it works but most of the time I get the white screen with vertical colored lines. It's a 2006 package #8 with 63k.
View 13 RepliesMy MFD now only shows the Toyota Logo, whatever I do. Also, I cannot play music. The trick with pressing (hold) INFO and headlights three times does not bring up a diagnostic screen. My theory is that the MFD is waiting for some signal over the network before showing the usual screen (and it never gets that signal). Some years ago, I had a third party fit a new audio tuner and player (non-Toyota), and that worked more or less fine for years.
They had to leave the old faulty Toyota audio in the circuit to make it all work, and they said to leave the graphic equaliser on even settings, and then forget it. The old Toyota audio CD changer had failed, but the rest was OK. My 'guess' is that they had to leave the old audio device connected because it terminates the AVC-LAN with a 60 ohm resistor. Maybe that connection came off, and now the LAN signals are not good, and the MFD is locked up 'always waiting' for the signal from an ECU.
I have a weird problem with my 2006 with HID headlights and 78k miles. When I turn on the headlights, the reverse camera turns on & so do the back-up white lights. I can clear the reverse camera by pushing any button, but the back-up lights are a big problem. No codes are being seen via ODB, everything else works great, and no fuses appear to be blown.
View 15 RepliesIs there a hack to add interactive graphics (shown below) to the backup camera if
[1] you don't have Intelligent Parking Assist, or
[2] you don't want to install an aftermarket kit that changes your dash interface? What's the least invasive way to add this feature?
Occasionally i get a vertical line on the left side of the screen when the backup camera is on. Its like the old film days with the line running down on the screen. I can't recreate it.
View 3 RepliesI would like to know where's the tpms control module located ... I got a camry se v6 ...
View 2 RepliesNot the sensors themselves, but the actual control module in the car?
