I just got a Samsung Galaxy S4 to replace my iphone4. Quite a slick phone but I haven't been able to get the contacts list to sink to my 2013 Level 3 Prius. I have successfully pair the bluetooth and I can play music via bluetooth.

If you charge your iPod Touch using the USB port can you stream online music or other audio apps (Pandora/Stitcher etc.) via stereo Bluetooth or does using USB lock you into only playing music via the iPod interface?
I'm wondering if I would have to bypass the USB port and buy a cigarette lighter charger or can I just use the Apple USB cable at all times.
I have iPhone, how to connect to the stereo with AUX. Plus, I don't know where and what kind of AUX cable I should buy?
View 10 RepliesWhen I am listening to songs from iPhone there are buttons on my head unit (C2 radio NOT nav system) for play/pause, fwd, rewind BUT the rewind and fwd buttons only forward through the song it's playing (like you used to be able to do with cassette tapes) and it does NOT skip to the next song. How stupid is that? I have never seen a digital audio player that did this, the fwd/rewind always skip back a song or fwd a song BUT the prius head unit only skips through the song itself.

The Bluetooth is connected fine and calling still works but when I play music the screen shows that the music is playing but I get no sound from my speakers. I've tried resetting my phone and turned the car off and on to no avail.
View 1 RepliesJust got a 2012 c3, and I'm trying to get my iPod Nano (4th gen) to show up on the display as an iPod, controllable from the steering wheel and display. The manual says this iPod model is compatible. The iPod software is up to date.
If I plug my iPod into the AUX with a standard audio cable, it plays over the speakers fine but the display shows only "aux" and has no controls for it. If I plug it into the USB with an Apple cable, it doesn't plays over the speakers at all, and the USB doesn't show up as active on the display -- it's grayed out. I tested the cable elsewhere and confirmed it's fine.
I added my iPhone 5 to my Prius 2011. It works fine with the BT Phone, but fails on the Audio. Even I select the iPhone 5 as portable device, it still fails to connect.

View 1 RepliesiOS 8.4. When I turn on my car it will not detect my iPod. The only way to get it to detect it is to shut the car off and turn it back on. Also it no longer will resume to where my iPod left off when shutting down the car. Having problems with iOS 8.4?

View 2 RepliesNeed to get a Samsung Galaxy Light to sync? I've got the Display Audio with Entune (3.1). Android version is 4.2.2. Just got the phone and synced it to Bluetooth. All the music and Pandora seems to basically work, and I can make phone calls... but the phone book doesn't sync. Except for, strangely, one contact. I've tried "refresh phone book" a few times - it shows success, but then there's just that one contact (always the same one.) Can't spot any reason that contact would be different than others.
I've found a few threads about the S4 and S3 and phonebook trouble... seemed to suggest some people have problems and some don't, but couldn't spot a solution. Never had a Samsung before so not sure if there's any significant differences in the phonebook setup between the Light and other recent Galaxies. My HTC Sensation did OK with syncing the phonebook (though the BT on that one kept freezing when using Pandora.)

View 3 RepliesI've been having a few problems with keeping my ipod connected with Entune. I was working fine but lately the ipod screen keeps saying loading. Then when I switch to another source like FM, then back to Ipod, I also get a "Function not available" screen. The only thing that has fixes this is to hard reboot my ipod, and turn off the car and restart.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2012 Prius 4 and my USB-connected iPod skips. I've tried 2 different USB cables and 3 different iPods. I also tried the vehicle in different driving modes (ECO, Power, EV) and the iPod skips every time. However, the iPod works perfectly when using the aux jack.
I took the car to the dealer and they applied a software update but the skipping persists. The dealer tried the iPod in another 2012 Prius and it skipped. They admit there is a problem but the dealer says nothing can be done until Toyota technical support gets enough complaints that they come up with a fix.
I have a first-gen iPod Touch running iOS 3.1.3. When I got my Prius C 3 about 3 weeks ago, I was able to plug the iPod in to the USB and it worked great; album art, voice control, everything. A few days ago I finally decided to try out Entune by pairing with my Android phone. That worked fine, but ever since then I have been unable to use my iPod. When I connect the iPod it will sometimes start playing the last track that was active, but when I press Browse or try to change songs, I get a spinning disc image on the screen and it says "Loading" but never finishes. Also I noticed that when I connect the iPod it now says "Accessory Connected" on the iPod screen and asks me if I want to install an app, which it never did before.
If I had to take a guess, I'd say it looks like the audio system is trying to communicate with the Entune app on the iPod. However the Entune app isn't installed so it just hangs forever waiting for a response. And I can't install the Entune app because it requires a newer version of iOS than my device supports. Is there any way that I can get the audio system to go back to its previous behavior of treating my iPod Touch like just a regular iPod?
2007 Prius with Nav System. Do I need a special cable to use the AUX jack in the arm rest? I have cable I tried to use and I show an AUX connection, but I get no sound out of the system.
View 1 RepliesI use a vent mount for my phone and my old car had the aux-in by the radio so I used a little retractable cable to my phone. Now in the prius the aux-in jack is way in the back of the arm rest what is the best way to route the cable there?
No nav, so no bluetooth streaming for me.
I just got an iPhone 5 and I can't seem to get it to play anything via the USB on the JBL in my 2010.
Is there anything special I need to do to get it to work?
