View 6 RepliesPlugging a multiple USB port into the single USB port? Does it work? For example a plugging a USB drive and an IPod?
View 4 RepliesI have a 2009 Prius with the Aux port in the center console. It has stopped working unless you jiggle the cable. Need to get a replacement?
View 4 RepliesSo I recently purchased a base 2008 Prius. The previous owner said she replaced the stereo so she can use her ipod. I see there is a Aux jack underneath the Radio with a power button. But when I press mode on steering wheel or press CD/Aux on the unit, it only goes to the CD, not Aux. I think its Toyota 51824 system. How can I use Aux since I want to use my iphone for music.
View 3 RepliesOn my old iPhone I used to use the usb port to charge, and play my music through. I just got a new phone, this time an android note 4, I noticed when i plug in my phone to the usb port, it won't play music, it just says error. It does however charge the phone. Is there any way around this? I know I can use bluetooth, but I've always preferred the usb port.
View 3 RepliesIs there a special type of thumb drive that I need to use to maximize the use of the USB port in the arm rest? I have a ton of songs on the thumb drive but the stereo only recognizes only 40 of them.
View 10 RepliesI bought this today. It has to be plugged into the 12v port in order to work; it has no battery in it. BUT when I plug it into the 12v ports (i tried both), this annoying squealing noise comes from the speakers. How can I get rid of this noise completely?
View 6 RepliesI have a 2012 Prius 4 and my USB-connected iPod skips. I've tried 2 different USB cables and 3 different iPods. I also tried the vehicle in different driving modes (ECO, Power, EV) and the iPod skips every time. However, the iPod works perfectly when using the aux jack.
I took the car to the dealer and they applied a software update but the skipping persists. The dealer tried the iPod in another 2012 Prius and it skipped. They admit there is a problem but the dealer says nothing can be done until Toyota technical support gets enough complaints that they come up with a fix.
I just purchased a 2012 Prius Three. It has the touchscreen radio and whenever I use the USB port with either my iPod or USB drive the song would randomly freeze and would not play any other songs. When I switch source to Bluetooth it would just display loading. The FM and SAT would still work fine. If I listen to Bluetooth through phone it never locks up.
View 3 RepliesSo long story short. I have 2010 Prius package V, JBL. Recently 2 of front driver side speakers stop working(1 on dash,1 on door) only when I listen to radio and stream music from my iphone. I played with the L/R F/R balance and made sure about it. However when I got phone call and using navigation guidance voice it works no problem.
View 1 RepliesAre there two antenna's in this photo. The regular AM/FM antenna (stick) and the satellite antenna (small disk that is circled).
Is the circled item the satellite antenna or something else?
I've got a 2011 five with the tech package and the satellite signal comes in and out every few seconds. Hiss, music, hiss, music.
It does this until I turn the car off and on. Sometimes it takes more than once.
Changing to FM, AM, USB and back doesn't fix it. Called XM and they reset it 3 times and it didn't fix it.
It's been doing it at least once a week now.
I have a 2011 Prius III without Nav. It has bluetooth pairing, and pairs with the Galaxy Nexus phone (android) to make and receive calls just fine. However, there seems to be no way to play music through the phone? (I currently have an audio cable which I plug into my phone. But for various reasons, this is far from an ideal solution for me.)
I have contacted the Toyota dealership where I bought the Prius and they seem to think this does not work. However, can this really be the case?
(1) Is there something I'm missing in order to play music through bluetooth on my phone?
(2) If there isn't, what are my after-market options for doing so? (I don't need navigation or anything else.)
I just got finished putting in a Soundstream VR-652nb head unit into my 04 Prius. Everything is working great except when I try to play a DVD, the stereo thinks the car is driving. Even when I'm in Park with the E brake on or in Acc mode, the head unit still thinks that the car is driving.
View 2 RepliesMy 2010 nav went bad this weekend on the road. It says it does not see my DVD. If you eject it and put it back in, it will sometimes, rarely come on a few seconds then back to not seeing the DVD. How to fix it?
View 5 RepliesMy JBL head unit keeps dying. My 2011 Prius Three, not III, is currently on its 3rd head unit, and this one is dying also. About once per year, the head unit starts displaying gibberish on the LCD, often with horizontal lines marching upwards. As the problem persists, the display gets worse. Finally, the buttons start malfunctioning. Pressing the power button might eject a CD, pushing a radio preset button might switch to CD, etc.
View 5 RepliesI have been experiencing loud popping and static/feedback sound from my front left speaker or tweeter. I replaced the jbl speaker with used jbl speaker. But it seems that my tweeter is done for as well. No sound comes out of it. Is it best just to replace it with a new jbl tweeter or are there better options that fit with not a lot of work.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2010 package IV not 4 because it is a 2010 and only 2010 used uppercase roman numerals for model designation, with jbl non nav stereo. I have been having issues with the volume control not working so was looking into upgrading it to a a jbl with nav since I can get a good deal on the stereo and nav antenna. My question is will the existing wire harness support this and will a unit from a 2012-2013 fit a 2010?
View 6 RepliesI just bought an 2008 Prius and I cannot for the life of me get the AUX function to work on my stereo. I have my iPhone plugged into the jack inside the center counsel, hit the DISC/AUX key and nothing. The cable between the iphone and jack is good, because I tried it on other devices and it works great. When I have a disc inserted into the stereo the DISC/AUX button works when switching from AM/FM radio to Disc and the cd plays. But when I have the cd removed from the stereo and hitting the DISC/AUX switch it does nothing. What am I doing wrong??? Or is the stereo broken????
View 4 RepliesI have a an issue with my 2010 Prius. I have factory JBL (no navi) system and for some reason, 2 of my speakers went out. What's funny is that my front driver side speaker is out but the passenger side works. The same thing in the rear. The one behind the driver seat is working but the one behind the passenger doesn't.
View 7 RepliesI have a check engine light on. The code it's throwing out is P0455 which is EVAP Emission Control System Leak (Large) My gas cap is on tight so it's not that. I'm not sure if it's my N80 Valve or if something else in the fuel system is wrong. For the record I did replace my fuel pump about 2 weeks before the light came on if that has anything to do with it.
