My used 2010 IV isn't accepting disks anymore. It happened suddenly where it wouldn't load consistently and then after ejecting all disks nothing loads anymore it keeps pushing against the disk when it's set to load. The car is under the 60-day warranty but I'm assuming it isn't covered under the warranty, but I'll ask tomorrow - I have 75k on it.
View 6 RepliesI noticed that when I active BT on my phone it connects to my cars phone BT automatically. But has a harder time when I try to connect to the portable audio player to stream music. I have to turn off the BT on my phone and turn it back on and then hit the "connect" button for the audio player and it works. Then I have to go back to the phone screen and hit connect again.

View 2 RepliesSometime while playing music on a thumb drive, the song will stop playing, and even though I can browse to another song, it won't let me switch songs. The only thing that turn off the car, then turn it back on. This is not a good solution if one is driving on the highway. I've tried unplugging and re-plugging in the thumb drive, switching to radio and back to USB, but this does not work. I've tried turning the audio off, then back on, does not work. Is there a way to re-boot the audio unit without turning the car off and on?
View 11 RepliesI bought a 05 prius, the model has the upgraded audio package and came with a cassette player. First time we used it it worked fine, the second time we tried to rewind another cassette and it got stuck. The audio screen says audio off, i'm unable to do anything with any of the buttons and the CD player and cassette stays powered even when the car is off.
View 6 RepliesRecently bought this used 07 model in June of this year. Was enjoying the drive till the cd player ate the cd. Power and eject buttons no longer work, including Scan, Seek, Track buttons. Only the volume and tuner dial works, plus all steering mounted controls for audio. The only way to "turn off" the radio and cd is to toggle it to Aux. Is this deck pretty much shot?

View 7 RepliesI have a an issue with my 2010 Prius. I have factory JBL (no navi) system and for some reason, 2 of my speakers went out. What's funny is that my front driver side speaker is out but the passenger side works. The same thing in the rear. The one behind the driver seat is working but the one behind the passenger doesn't.
View 7 RepliesMy wonderful three year old put a penny into the CD player. First it played, then it stopped and we got weird loud popping noises, even with the volume off. Now the radio/CD player is off and can't be turned on.
It seems like a good time to upgrade, but what should I be looking for as far as no power to the audio?

Whenever I am listening to an audio device, like a phone or MP3 player, via the AUX connection, and I plug the device into a 12v outlet to charge, I get a loud buzzing noise. It matches the ICE in frequency, for example when I accelerate the static noise "ticks" increase in frequency, like it's picking up the engine cylinders firing. When the ICE shuts off, the static persists but it's not as loud.
I've used many different devices and both the console and dash 12v outlets with the same result.
I've tried many different car chargers- high quality, low quality, and even an Energizer battery charger with a USB port, but the noise always comes through.
Is there a solution for this? Or perhaps is there some "power cleaner" accessory I can purchase that isolates this noise from the outlet?
Got a 2010 Prius with navigation couple days ago. No problems so far except, in mornings, on cold start head unit acts strange. If I press map or destination button on the right side of it, it skips music tracks that are being played or changes the radio station. It glitches like that for about 15 minutes, than comes back to normal. turning the car on and off doesn't work at all. The unit had been replaced once under warranty by toyota dealer.

I've got a 2010 Prius IV that I got back in July of 2010. My car's only option is the navigation system. I have not made any modifications to the car, with the exception of tinted windows.
View 2 RepliesI just got finished putting in a Soundstream VR-652nb head unit into my 04 Prius. Everything is working great except when I try to play a DVD, the stereo thinks the car is driving. Even when I'm in Park with the E brake on or in Acc mode, the head unit still thinks that the car is driving.

View 5 RepliesI have a 2010 package IV not 4 because it is a 2010 and only 2010 used uppercase roman numerals for model designation, with jbl non nav stereo. I have been having issues with the volume control not working so was looking into upgrading it to a a jbl with nav since I can get a good deal on the stereo and nav antenna. My question is will the existing wire harness support this and will a unit from a 2012-2013 fit a 2010?
View 6 RepliesI just bought an 2008 Prius and I cannot for the life of me get the AUX function to work on my stereo. I have my iPhone plugged into the jack inside the center counsel, hit the DISC/AUX key and nothing. The cable between the iphone and jack is good, because I tried it on other devices and it works great. When I have a disc inserted into the stereo the DISC/AUX button works when switching from AM/FM radio to Disc and the cd plays. But when I have the cd removed from the stereo and hitting the DISC/AUX switch it does nothing. What am I doing wrong??? Or is the stereo broken????
View 4 RepliesI have a check engine light on. The code it's throwing out is P0455 which is EVAP Emission Control System Leak (Large) My gas cap is on tight so it's not that. I'm not sure if it's my N80 Valve or if something else in the fuel system is wrong. For the record I did replace my fuel pump about 2 weeks before the light came on if that has anything to do with it.

When I press the Map button, the screen displays "the external system is not connected" also the voice came on and said voice recognition is off. Could it be a fuse or need to reset? It was working fine then just went black. I restarted the car a few times but still no work. Also where is the player at on the 05?
