when driving at night, the light from the speedometer reflects up onto the windshield like you see in the picture above.

There's an annoying reflection in the windshield of the dashboard lights at night. What have any of you done to get rid of it?

This last week, I bought a Prius C 4, love everything about it but... the front windshield reflection. The reflection of the dashboard during daytime makes the view somewhat cloudy, at night the reflection at night appears to be like a shroud over most of the windshield. So much so that the peripheral vision is almost nil. I think this can be dangerous as demonstrated by almost hitting 2 deer on my first drive home! I've ordered a dashmat cover and await its delivery. Hopefully this will alleviate the problem, if not my dealer will be getting the car back until this problem is resolved. Dimming the dashboard light has no effect.

The sun seems to reflect from a lot of interior pieces, mainly the ALU piece to the right of the 2 storage drawers, and also the shifter surround ring. It is not just a little reflection, it blinds me at times and I have to look to the left, put something on top to cover it or close my eyes.

When I am driving and the sun is hitting the top of the dashboard, I get a reflection of the dashboard in my windshield. I have the gray interior, so it isn't terribly distracting. However, it would be really nice to tone it down some. The interior of my new Sonata is nice and I don't want something tacky. I have done some looking at dash mats on the web but I don't know how well they fit, how well they work, and if they would pass my tackiness test.

I found the error in my vehicle to be about 1.1 MPH fast with the 16" 195'S's. 38 psi cold, 92 degree day.
Scangauge and speedometer were as closely in sync as I've seen them.

I have an intermittent problem. Sometimes when I start my 2008 Prius, the speedometer panel will not light up. Also, when that happens the backup camera will not work. I tried starting the cal 4 or 5 times with the same result. When I got to my destination I stopped the car and 4 hours later started with no problem. It has done this 2 or 3 times now. Is my speedometer (instrument) panel about to fail?

Started about a month ago, no speedometer or fuel gauge (the display up on the dash). So, somewhere I found out about unplugging the 12v battery and that worked...for a while! After a few times doing that, I read somewhere that it is a sign that the 12v battery is going. So, I took it in to the local auto parts store, they tested it and said it was good.
I bought one anyhow since it was about 3-1/2 years old. That worked for about 2 weeks, but now it's back! I've unplugged the battery and again it has ( temporarily ) fixed this issue. The other thing that happens is that it is difficult to turn off and requires you to hold the power button for an extended period of time. I guess part of my problem is I am not sure what to call that display and my searches are coming up with all sorts of things. I have about 160,000 and have had no problems.
