View 10 RepliesI bought a 64GB usb 3.0 flash drive and I loaded about 1,500 songs onto it from iTunes. When I plug the flash drive into the car, it shows that I have 496 songs on the flash drive.
View 11 RepliesI just picked up a used 2006 Prius today and it has bluetooth.... I paid the phone, but I have two questions.
1) is there a way to stream music using this built in bluetooth?
2) The Prius was asking me to SEND my contacts phonebook over to it.... but I don't see an option on my android phone for this...
I just got home with my new Prius 2 and plugged my new iTouch into the USB connection. Podcasts and audiobooks seem to be playing fine, but while my playlists show up on the car's touchscreen, it says there are no songs in them...any of them. It doesn't see any of my music by song, artist, album or otherwise.
View 1 RepliesSongs listed in the "browse" are not correct(looks like an OLD SYNC) and can't get it to update to the new songs that are listed on my phone. Tried to delete the phone on BT devices listed and re-start the phone, didn't work. When clicking through on the steering wheel dials, the correct songs play though. Also, if you try to search for songs and go "backward" from Z-A, the songs listed are completely incorrect for the alphabet.
View 2 RepliesSo I got a new prius 2015 that isn't the plug in version but the self generating battery version, and upon getting it I had the following problems
Autoplay on iphone music when I was listening to youtube on my iphone, when the song on youtube was ending and heading to the next song on the playlist (on the youtube app); It would just autoplay the songs written on my iphone memory.
Is there some way to store favorite songs? My stand alone radios would do that and I believe Ford satellite radios will do that. I can't figure out how to get this one to do it. I'm afraid it's an area where Toyota is much inferior to many others.
View 2 RepliesI found a few threads on this forum talking about skipping problems with ipods. Has there been a fix for this yet? I have a 2012 Prius Three and an ipod classic 80 gb from 2006. I'm not able to use voice commands because it says that the ipod is still syncing. If I play a song it will pause for 1-2 seconds randomly during the song, maybe 1-3 times per song. It's extremely annoying. It doesn't matter if I'm driving slow, fast or parked.
View 5 RepliesI am enjoying the Entune System on my Prius C but I got a question? When using voice commands for playing a song on the USB drive it will list that as song 1/1 which is what it should do, If I choose a artist and album it will list all songs from that album. but how do I return to the playing the USB drive to play all songs from all artists?
I tried
Play...All Songs
Play...Artists Random
Play...Random
nothing, and the manual was not useful...
I have a problem with using bluetooth to stream music from my HTC One to the car stereo system. The music itself streams fine with no problem, but the titles of the songs are sometimes off or laggy or don't update as the songs cycle through the shuffle.
View 4 RepliesI presently use a 16GB USB drive that has about 240 MB of 2 to 10 MB mp3 files and it works well. The reason I ask is that SirisXM is going to drop my favorite channel (69) and I was thinking of making some large files of audio capture before it goes away. Large because its easier to make and play a few than many. There might be a file size limitation (not USB storage limitation) due to the amount of memory in the audio system.
View 8 RepliesIs there a special type of thumb drive that I need to use to maximize the use of the USB port in the arm rest? I have a ton of songs on the thumb drive but the stereo only recognizes only 40 of them.
View 10 RepliesMy biggest convenience complaint is the awkwardness of navigating a large set of music folders on the USB thumb drive I use. The display screen scrolling capability is very slow, even if it were not disabled at any speed. When driving, I have to hold the up or down steering wheel buttons to move between folders one-by-one, which is very slow because I have about a hundred folders. At least it wraps, but if I am on, say, folder 20 and I want to get to folder 60, I have to hold and click the button 40 times.
View 2 RepliesRight now it plays alphabetically but could not play songs in one folder. I have group my songs in folders and wanted to know if this could be done. Do I have to reformat my USB drive? I have the five model.
View 2 RepliesThe CD drive motor has started to run continuously. Nothing will make it stop, other than shutting down the whole car, and even then it runs for a while longer. Is there a fuze somewhere that I can pull? My guess is that the CD player (which still works) would have to be replaced and that doing that is several hundred dollars. Our Prius is 2006.
View 1 RepliesI just rescued a 2005 base from the baking florida sun, sat for an unknown amount of time, paint shot, steering wheel cover falling apart both easy to fix so I was wondering if there is a plastic replacement screen for the MFD and where to get it....
Jump started the car,did some stop and go's to get the main battery to show a charge added some fresh gas then drove it 82 miles home..saying 52.2 MPG battery fully charged so I think its worth fixing the cosmetics.
I have 2004 Prius with 150K miles. All of a sudden, display went dead. A/C controls working fine but other half of MFD is not responding. It was also difficult to turn car off. Took several attempts and finally was able to turn car off. My Prius does not have GPS in it. Car starts and runs fine otherwise.
View 2 RepliesCan Display Audio's phone interface accept pauses or waits (P or W) in the phone number? My phone uses them for voicemail passwords, eg dial the number, pause a few seconds, and then dial the password. So far it does not work at all through the bluetooth interface when initiated through voice command ("call xxx xxx xxxx pp yyyy#") or through the car's screen. I tried to directly store a similar number into the Display Audio "stored" numbers but could not find an option for the P pause.
View 6 RepliesI Learned on a Toyota Avalon web page that you can force your audio system to reboot itself by pressing the power button for three seconds. On the Avalon, it only works on the "Limited" levels. I tried it tonight on my Prius Four and it worked. Great to use when your audio gets "confused" and you just want to clear it and start over.
View 1 RepliesI've been using MP3 CDs in autos for some years. Now I have a 2014 Prius 4 with whatever audio system is standard in that model. Generally all is good. But there is one odd thing: Whenever I stop the car, or it seems even pause the playback, it seems to restart so as to replay a few minutes I listened to on the last session.
View 1 RepliesJust got my 06 Prius. The screen shows that Audio Off. The radio doesn't want to turn on. What could be the issue. 06 Prius with nav, Bluetooth, JBL etc. Everything else seem to work except the radio. Fuse perhaps?
