Gen 2 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: 2007 - Aux Cord Won't Play Podcasts

Dec 22, 2015

I recently bought a 2007 Prius and inherited the former owner's aux cable. I can use it to play music from my iphone 4s, but podcasts won't play. This is likely a problem with the cable itself or with my old phone, but I thought I'd ask just in case this is a common issue with Prii.

Lexus ES 2007-12 :: How To Play Podcasts Through The Bluetooth

I purchased a 2007 ES 350 (Royal Red) with Premium Plus including Nav (non-ML stereo). I have no problem using bluetooth for phone calls, but can I also play my podcasts through the bluetooth?

If so, how?

I'm stuck using an auxiliary audio cable which isn't satisfactory. For one, I get background noise when I simultaneously charge the phone.

Second, I get loud crackling sound with movements of the cable jack in the phone.

Prius C (Audio/Electronics) :: Random Play Not Resuming When Sourced From USB

2015 Prius C three. One week old. I have a 32 GB jump drive (Kingston brand) with MP3 files on it. It recognizes it, all the files on it and plays it well. But... When I turn off the vehicle and start again the music playback reverts to repeating the last file played during the previous trip.

It does this even if I try to forward to the next song, it stays on that last song repeating it. The RND (random) selection button is lit up at this point. I can get it to return to random play by 1. selecting the music app to full screen 2. Select Browse 3. sort by song - Then selecting any song and from there on it plays random files.

The real problem is that this takes time and on a trip such as a four minute drive to lunch and then the four minute return trip to work I either have to go through that process twice or I listen to the same song four times. The Browse process takes a bit of time and to be honest I am pulling out of the parking lot before it is done so distracted driving can come into play.

Gen 2 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: Driver Side Speaker Won't Play

I've recently purchased a used 2007 toyota prius. (My 2nd prius, I also have a 2004). The driver side speaker does not play. The tweeter on that side does work, so I initially assumed it was a bad speaker, however, when I took it to my local car audio shop to get replaced he tested the speaker and it did, indeed work. He suggested I get toyota to look at it to see if it's the head unit or the wiring. It seems really weird to me that one speaker in the door would work if it was, indeed, the head unit.

Gen 3 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: Music Tracks Play Only In Alphabetic Order

When I use my iPod Touch in my 2010 Prius IV via USB it works great -- the song, album and artist names are all displayed properly on the Nav screen and it sounds great. But the tracks on the albums are listed and played in alphabetical order rather than the order that they appear on the album. For many albums, tracks are in context with adjacent tracks -- playing them in alphabetical order messes up that context.

Gen 3 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: Can Play A2DP And Charge IPod Touch Via USB At The Same Time

If you charge your iPod Touch using the USB port can you stream online music or other audio apps (Pandora/Stitcher etc.) via stereo Bluetooth or does using USB lock you into only playing music via the iPod interface?

I'm wondering if I would have to bypass the USB port and buy a cigarette lighter charger or can I just use the Apple USB cable at all times.

Prius C (Audio/Electronics) :: 2013 - USB Connection Won't Working Properly / Can't Play Music

2013 Prius C with Entune. The USB connection allows me to charge my iPod (3rd generation) and iPhone 4S but I cannot play music via that connection. The system is designed to allow playback through the USB, right? I plugged in a flashdrive and was able to play music. I have tried three cables and none allow the feed from the device into the audio system. I am able to connect into the Aux port and play music.

Gen 2 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: 2007 Audio Button Didn't Work

07 Prius, 6 speaker NON-JBL.

This happened a couple of weeks ago and then again. ALL the buttons on my steering wheel work, AC, Temperature, Defrost, Recirculation etc , except Audio. ( Dash audio functions work fine! )

The last time, restarting the car and the functions came back to life.

Is there some kind of official "reboot" process for the computers?

Gen 2 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: 2007 - CD Radio Aux Player Failure

Recently bought this used 07 model in June of this year. Was enjoying the drive till the cd player ate the cd. Power and eject buttons no longer work, including Scan, Seek, Track buttons. Only the volume and tuner dial works, plus all steering mounted controls for audio. The only way to "turn off" the radio and cd is to toggle it to Aux. Is this deck pretty much shot?

Gen 2 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: 2007 - Disc Changer Died?

I have had a 2007 for less than a month (mailed first payment today) and the disc changer died. I have played many audio book CDs in it during my 3 hour daily commute but today it decided that was all it would do.

Owners Manual said to take it to my Toyota dealer for this problem. I am reading posts which say it will take 4-6 weeks for a repair. Library will be upset about disks being gone that long.

Only time I like this car is at the gas pump. Any updated information on how to fix this problem without disassembling the entire dash?

Glad I kept my 98 Buick. It still works after 168,000 miles.

Gen 2 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: 2007 - Touchscreen Works Intermittently?

I've been noticing some issues with the touchscreen on my 2007 Gen2. Sometimes when I touch the screen, the unit doesn't respond. Other times, I need to touch slightly above the area I am supposed to touch in order to get the correct response. It doesn't happen all the time, but more than just occasionally. I asked my local dealership about it and they say the screen probably needs to be replaced. I've also heard that perhaps recalibrating the screen could work.

Gen 2 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: 2007 - Navigation System And Bluetooth Transplant?

I recently posted that I was purchasing a low mileage 2007 Gen2 and had been told it was a base model. Actually, the seller was clueless about the options and had only had it for 3 years. Didn't know what a "Package/Type" was.

Before I got out of the driveway I discovered it did have the backup camera. However, as I began reading through the owners manual (my first operational Gen2, with a manual) and programming the radio and a few other features, I discovered that this was a Type 1 with backup camera. But soon discovered from the display and steering wheel that it lacked the Blue Tooth and Hands-Free ability. Something I have been wanting. I could live without the Nav System since I have a good system on my tablet that I take with me from vehicle to vehicle. Not sure how good the Gen2 Nav System is but have used it on my sons 2010 Gen3. Seemed ok but I'm hearing that you have to subscribe to the Nav software or is that just for updates?? Or is it just a couple CDs that I need to find??

Now that I have learned a little more about these systems, I looked at the two other Project Gen2s that I have and discover that a 2007 tired old (300k+ miles) Yellow Cab has both Nav and Bluetooth.

So, the obvious question is, are these Gen2s all prewired for the Nav System and Bluetooth and aside from the transfer of the Nav ECU from one vehicle to the other.
