View 7 RepliesDo not like having the nav screen always be on especially since we rarely use it. Would much rather look at the audio screen. How do I make audio screen default?
View 3 RepliesCan the backup camera on the v be adjusted? Objects that are actually close look much farther away.

View 2 RepliesI tried everywhere I could find today to turn on grid lines for the backup camera. I couldn't find them anywhere. I can't find anything in the owner's manual I downloaded either. What is the secret to getting grid lines to make backing up that much better?
View 7 RepliesI recently bought aftermarket CCD camera kit from eBay for my 2014 Prius-II and got it installed by best-buy geek squad. But camera is not working due to power problem. According to best buy technician, Prius factory harness is not supplying power when car is put in reverse gear. I am not sure how to address this problem.

View 5 Replieson my sub amp the wire out got hooked up my wires to my car speakers while replacing the battery and it went boom and there was a smell of burnt electrical. Now I don't have any sound coming out all in my car. I'm trying to figure out if it is a fuse problem or if I blew out all of my speakers, but before this happened I disconnected the center speaker by the screen because I wanted a more stereo sound in my car. I reattached the center speaker recently and still no sound. I looked at the fuses underneath the steering wheel and I couldn't find any blown fuses.
View 2 Replies I've got a 2007 with Nav and was thinking of replacing the head unit with an Alpine INE-W940 or something similar/better. I spoke to Crutchfield, and they told me that this install would make my MFD unusable, and I'd have a blank screen. I am not certain if the tech meant that it would be useless for navigation or radio/cd control, but still function for other uses like battery monitoring and consumption.
Even assuming that it would still function for car information, etc., I was wondering, using perhaps Lockpick 3 to mirror the display of an aftermarket head unit/nav system to the MFD. I'm thinking this would be a really useful hack.
I went to turn my 2005 on today the normal startup screen came on then it went dark for about 5 secs then came on with the normal consumption display but with no readings. Also there is no radio memory and I can't see volume control or radio tuning. Any way to reset the system? Here is what I mean by no readings...

In my Prius 2005 BC, I enjoyed having the turn list posted on the right hand side of the nav screen. I noticed on my 2016 Prius Four ATP that all I saw were freeway exit lists and the occasional upcoming turn screen. I opened my trusty "Navigation System Owner's Manual" to page 199 and read about Map Mode. I see clearly that Option 4 is the turn list, but on my screen only the first 3 options are present. Is there some thing else that needs to be selected to have option 4? BTW: this is a US market vehicle.
View 8 RepliesMaybe it was something we said, but our otherwise bulletproof 2005 just stopped talking. We had an unfamiliar mechanic pushing buttons to reset our oil change notice recently, but other than that we are clueless. We have checked the usual "voice on" commands but seem to be lost on this one.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2005 Prius the navigation system stopped working. When I press the Map button, the screen displays "the external system is not connected" also the voice came on and said voice recognition is off. Could it be a fuse or need to reset? It was working fine then just went black. I restarted the car a few times but still no work. Also where is the player at on the 05?
View 2 RepliesI want to connect my digital music player (a Cowon iAudio 9) to my 2005 Prius (with JBL stereo and NAV). I want better sound than a cassette adapter or FM transmitter, and ideally I'd like to control it via steering wheel buttons and Prius touchscreen (and to see track info on it).

View 6 RepliesI have a 2005 Prius and need a new navigation unit and I found a place I can order online, however I did something not so bright I ordered for a 2007 Prius. I need to know if a 2007 navigation unit will work in a 2005?

Since it's a 2005 no USB input for my iPhone 4s to play music. I often stream pandora or music that's stored on my phone.
So far I have been connecting my iPhone with cassette adapter to headphone jack. The audio pretty much sucks through this method and FM transmitters are even worse!
What is the best way to connect iPhone 4s to my Prius stereo? What exactly is DICE and how good is the Audio Quality?
I do not use CD change at all! Is changer connected to an Aux. input that I can switch out for a USB input?
Can I just swap out my unit for a later model with USB input? Looking for the best audio quality option.
I just rescued a 2005 base from the baking florida sun, sat for an unknown amount of time, paint shot, steering wheel cover falling apart both easy to fix so I was wondering if there is a plastic replacement screen for the MFD and where to get it....
Jump started the car,did some stop and go's to get the main battery to show a charge added some fresh gas then drove it 82 miles home..saying 52.2 MPG battery fully charged so I think its worth fixing the cosmetics.
My 05 has a problem with the recirculate and defrost buttons on the wheel. The recirculate button will sometimes toggle the MFD between the consumption screen and the energy monitor screen like the info button does and won't change the recirculate light on the dash at all. Sometimes it will do nothing, and other times it works normal changing from outside air to recirculate. Also the defrost button will sometimes turn on the windshield defroster with 1 push then turn on the rear defroster with a second push and both will go off on the 3rd push.
Other times both defrost buttons will do nothing or work normally. When the wheel buttons are acting up the MFD will control both the recirculate and defrost functions normally so I don't think the MFD is the problem. The 12 volt battery has been checked and is good at 12.4 volts and there is no malfunction lights or codes set in the system. All the other buttons on the wheel function normally. What to check?
Can Display Audio's phone interface accept pauses or waits (P or W) in the phone number? My phone uses them for voicemail passwords, eg dial the number, pause a few seconds, and then dial the password. So far it does not work at all through the bluetooth interface when initiated through voice command ("call xxx xxx xxxx pp yyyy#") or through the car's screen. I tried to directly store a similar number into the Display Audio "stored" numbers but could not find an option for the P pause.
View 6 RepliesI Learned on a Toyota Avalon web page that you can force your audio system to reboot itself by pressing the power button for three seconds. On the Avalon, it only works on the "Limited" levels. I tried it tonight on my Prius Four and it worked. Great to use when your audio gets "confused" and you just want to clear it and start over.
