I have a problem with my vw jetta vr6, the airbag light is always on. I changed the battery and few days later the airbag light came on. I drove my car to the dealer and they found out that my driver airbag unit has a lot of pressure on it, so they told me that the airbag needs to be replaced.

View 2 RepliesSo I bought my 20th with the airbag light on... Never really bothered me till now as I'm tying to fix everything that's wrong with it. I vagcom'd it and it said driver side seat buckle was the fault. Looked under the seat and it seems the white plug isn't plugged in. I haven't taken anything apart yet to get a closer look, but could that be the problem? Does that plug actually plug into something or is it just a loose plug?

I didnt cut any wires so i know it couldnt be that. I pulled the fuse out and put it back in, now it works but sounds like a old man with extreme lung problems. Now my Airbag light came on and how to "fix" it.

So today I get in my car and the air bag light is on solid, no blinking. I scanned it with my scanner and it says no codes Any body else have this happen? I got a bad feeling about this light

I got a low voltage code and a driver seat belt buckle code "00059" maybe I'm trying to recall but unsure. I have a pair of seat belt buckles out of a mk5 Jetta. Do these will plug into my mk4 by chance?

View 1 RepliesMy brothers jetta is over heating constantly. The thermo switch on the radiator and controller box under the battery have been replaced. The fans dont come on till just before the red mark on the gauge. There are no water leaks, and we can hear gurgling when running the engine. How can we tell if the water pump is bad or not and where is the thermostat if it has one.

View 3 Replies2004 Jetta GLI V6 24v 6 speed ... This started a few years ago, but it was happening in 3rd gear only -- therefore I avoided engine braking in 3rd gear all along. The noise was a pretty loud, noticeable grinding/spinning noise. 3rd gear while accelerating or maintaining gas worked and still works perfectly, smooth as can be.
Somewhat recently (6mo-1yr ago) all the other 5 gears started making this grinding noise, some more than others. 1st gear I don't really know because I don't engine brake in 1st. However, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th (barely noticeable but still there) all make the noise. I now of course avoid all engine braking, however even the transitional steps between gears can be heard sometimes ... unless I perfectly match the RPM etc, but I'm just trying to get to work and back here ...
The car is still quite drivable, but with a major obstacle (pain in the ass) and a new clutch is probably around the corner -- I have 107K on it now. However ... a few years ago when it had 26K on it .. it didn't need a new clutch yet 3rd was still making that noise.
I recently took out my headliner And my passenger's side seat. When I put everything back together, I turned the car on and the light came on. What can be the issue?

View 4 RepliesI took my car for a drive and i soon as I pull out of the driveway the abs light and traction light appeared on the cluster. I tried to reset the battery but no luck. I tried to search but for some reason the search is down. What could be wrong with the car? It still drives and seems fine but abs and traction doesn't work.

View 2 RepliesI have had this ongoing issue with the rear running lights on my 337; the lights just don't turn on all the time. At first I thought the bulbs were burning out but they aren't. I can just knock on the tail lights and the lights come on and stay on. I assume that it's not a short or bad contact or they would flicker.
