Was thinking what should tire pressure be on wheels during summer time, assuming you have stock wheels. More pressure = you go faster/ have better gas mileage, but have less handling ability. Less pressure = better handling but slower speed/ lower gas mileage.
View 1 RepliesI don't know whats wrong, last night i was driving and all of a sudden the car started to feel like it had a flat tire. The music was loud so i was sure...i pulled over and sudden my cel starts flashing. I turned the car off looked under the hood and couldn't see much (it was dark) i turned it back on and the same thing, when i accelerate there is a loud noise that seems to come from under my seat as well as a sort of stutter/putting like right before your stall out in a manual car.

View 5 RepliesVery weird indeed...our 20th AE sometimes will give off this very light horn noise that appears to be coming from the passenger rear tire area...I looked around and couldn't find anything..
The noise is very faint, and repeats in a beep, beep, beep and the longer it goes on, the more space between beeps....very weird.
I just replaced my clutch and have put everything back together, and bled my clutch line, but I have absolutely no pressure still in my pedal. I read that u need to make sure your brake fluid reservoir is filled to the max, but following the clutch line, I dont see it going to the reservoir? I also read that the master cylinder is behind the clutch pedal, does the master cylinder hold any fluid that maybe I lost during the bleeding? I'm at a loss right now.

View 4 RepliesSo the problems continue with the final payment of car. So now my oil pressure light comes on after driving for 10 minutes and sometimes goes off with i push in the clutch or keep it under 1500 rpms. Enough oil in car. What could be going on?
View 10 RepliesStarted losing pressure on my clutch pedal yesterday. When I would push in the clutch pedal it would not push back up to the reset position. It would only come back up half the way. Now today I have a steady ABS light and ASR light on. Checked for fault codes and found no trouble code. Checked brake fluid resevoir for leaks; still has plenty of fluid. Checked slave cylinder bleeder valve for leaks and looks dry. The only thing I think it could be is the clutch master cylinder. If I drive the car for a few minutes I am able to build pressure back up in the clutch, however the ABS light and ASR light still remain while driving. Turning the car off and back on again shuts off the light for a few minutes until I start driving, but the clutch pressure starts back low again.

What could be causing these codes? The car gets up to temp (190) real quick and stays there, and I don't feel a fluctuation of boost.
I have 7mm spacers and when I take a hard turn, I get like an almost bouncing, rubbingish, thudding noise and feeling from my driver side wheel/tire area. I have FK coils. Do I need bigger front spacers? I have RC's btw, it gets worse as I go lower, and seems to go away if I really raise it up... how does everyone get away with this?

View 14 RepliesI bought a used certified 2012 Toyota Camry LE with 6000 miles on it directly from the main and larger Toyota dealer two weeks ago, I chose to get original tires inflated with nitrogen which is a service provided by dealer.
Right now I'm realizing that the display screen is not showing me the tires at all, just the trip and gas consumption stats.
Before taking the car to dealer and get in line is there a way system may be reset so tires and of course pressure data are properly displayed?
My car's driver's side tire looks almost flat as one of my co-workers indicated first but the tire pressure light is NOT on. Should I worry about it and get it checked out?

View 19 Replies2009 Ford Explorer, 6cyl, 4L, 33K miles. When its started up, the message "Tire Sensor Fault" appears along with the low tire icon flashing (steady light after ~30 seconds). I can then press the reset button on my dash to clear the message. However, the tire light icon stays lit. I've checked and re-checked the tire pressure in all the tires (spare included) and I'm right at the recommended 32-34 psi on all the tires. No signs of leaks at all. I'm assuming one (or more) of the tire pressure sensors have gone bad and there's no way for a garage (or myself) to identify which one or repair this. Should I assume a trip to the dreaded dealer for this problem ???

Whats the cheapest route to go about this? I bought the car in June, so wondering if warranty would even cover tires? Is it worth a try? Not sure if I should take to the dealer to check it out, or just a town fair tire place.
View 13 RepliesI had new nitto snows put on my truck and low tire pressure light is on.....Checked tire pressure 65 front and 80 back.....Started truck and screen said tms pressure low.....Hit ok and drove around on and off for 2 days now and cant get the light to go out......Is there some way to get the light out or do I have to go to my dealer to have it reset???
View 14 RepliesWhen I bought a used camry 5 years ago and drove it on the highway, my front tire busted and damaged the fender cuz it had too much air!! I wonder if it shows high pressure on my 2010 gen III Prius v with ATP. I know that the tires are special on this v version but still I like to keep a slightly higher pressure in the front ones because the lane keep assist feature works better with higher tire pressure. Summer is coming up so that gets me worried what to do with tire pressures.

The dashboard computer says that the tire pressure in the front right tire is 17 psi, but when I use the pressure gauge, the reading is almost 40 psi. Is this something I should be concerned about? What could be causing this problem?
