The sunroof on my 04 gli just decided to open by itself and now it won't close. Why this is happening?

GTI 337/20th Anniversary :: Automatic Window And Sunroof Close When Turning Car Off
I picked up my beloved 20th last week. It has this feature that when you shut the car off it closes the windows and sunroof. It's very annoying. Is this an aftermarket item that is doing this or is it a stock program? I don't think the car has an aftermarket alarm but I'm not 100% positive.

I just picked up a Black 20th tonight. All stock with 48,000 miles. I'll get some pics up asap. But for now I'm gonna be lurking around trying to work out the kinks of the car. The Temp gauge doesn't work and the passenger door only opens from the inside when first unlocked.

I went to go get gas today and tried to open my fuel door with he button on my door and it wouldn't open. The trunk opened fine but when I pressed the gas button it made no noise and didn't move at all. I've never had a problem with my fuel cap and all of my locks besides this one work fine. I also can't manually open my fuel cap from the back, because in my GLI, you can't bet much further back behind the tail lights.

I've got a 2006 F150 King Ranch with rear power slider that opens but won't close. After looking more closely, the bracket holding the 'close' cable is cracked and the cable end keeps pulling out. Can I just remove the sliding window/bracket and repair the holder with JB Weld or am I looking at replacing the entire back window to enjoy the convenience?

I have an Imola 20th and recently i have been having some problems with my clutch. The pedal goes from being soft to very hard when its close to disengaging. It also engages very heavily when I go to let it out. This only started happening recently when temperatures started to drop if this has any effect on a clutch. Also, I replaced a shift fork two months ago and was curious if there was possibly anything going on with seals around the slave cylinder.

Drove my 2004 Volvo S60 today and open the sunroof this morning. I made 4 stops and shut the car off but let the sunroof open because it was a nice day and did not lock it since I was as buddies house and we were outside. Drove back home about 12 miles and parked the car and before I hout the engine down I tried to close the sunroof and nothing. Checked fuse 34 (15 amp) and replaced it and still nothing.

So my friend was driving her car and the sunroof won't close. When it gets to the end of the track, it opens itself back up again. We found a piece sitting on the right-hand track but don't see anyplace where it would fit. It's Saturday pm on a holiday weekend and no place is open.

Passat (B5) :: 2004 - Sunroof Won't Close Anymore
This morning the sunroof on our 04 Wagon freaked out and now will not close, or go back into the roof. It is stuck about 1/2 lifted. Each time you move the dial it tries to close, then goes right back to 1/2 open. Nothing appears to be stuck anywhere in the mechanisms and we were driving while it happened.

Today my sunroof tilted open all by itself while I was driving, then it closed it by itself. Then it did it all over again.
A week ago it tilted open, I closed it by moving the switch to full open, then close.
In another post ("Sunroof Problem") I found one mention of this problem and the switch was the culprit.
I had to have the switch replaced?

Sometimes the sun roof of my 2001 Passat will open about 1/5 when the car is on and even when it is parked overnight. Why does this happen? Luckily it wasn't raining the other night when it happened.

The power liftgate on my 2015 SF Sport will open just fine but as soon as it opens all the way, it begins to close. It doesn't always do this but recently it's happening more than not.
By the way, I do not have the liftgate set to open automatically, just power liftgate is checked on the settings.
