GTI 337/20th Anniversary :: Small Little Backfiring At Idle

So my car has 67k on it, is babied and taken care of. She runs good however at idle, she seems to put out small little backfires. I just noticed this a little while ago. Sitting in the car I can feel when this happens, it's like a small quick sputter but I'm getting no noises from the engine when these fluctuations happen. The exhaust from almost up by the DP back to the tailpipe will move with the sputter if that makes sense. Seems like it's a slight misfire but im not really sure what it could be. runs strong and the temp always reads normal and I am getting no CEL.

I was changing my oil today in my GLI and I noticed a small wet spot forming when I had my car jacked up. This is the first spot that I took notice too, and since I had my car jacked up. Its seems to be a clear liquid at the junction point where the two hoses are zip tied together.

2003 Jetta Gli seems to have a very small coolant leak. The leak is small enough that I don't even notice a puddle on the ground the light on the dash told me it was low. It is the Vr6 motor. Also I don't know if this is the right forum for my car the title says 2004.5 Gli mine's an 03. If this is a big deal just let me know and I'll delete this post and go else where.

I just picked up a BMP 20th ann last weekend after looking for a nice clean one for a while. I love the way the car looks compared to my stock 1.8t gti, and I am also loving the Recaro seats. The 20th is all stock, and i have a few minor things in mind for it just to get the car to look how i want. I also had a few questions... do tires rub against the front when turning sharply? The car has stock suspension... also the front lip has a small crack and i was wondering if it was worth it to get it fixed or to buy a new one? And there is an annoying squeaking sound coming from the steering column area...

I have 20th gti and I downshifted into third the other day and heard a small grind and all of the sudden I lost all my gears, I couldn't shift into anything and was stuck in third. I was able to move the shifter up and down from 3rd neut to fourth without engaging the clutch but it was all the same gear:S I managed to get home in third considering I was close by and when I stopped i was able to throw it into reverse but it would act like i was in a high gear(either 4th 5th or 6th I am not sure).

I started up my car after work and and it had a super low idle it almost seemed like it wanted to shut off. I brought the rpms up to 2k for only for a few sec. Let off it was fine? It was cold out. But its never done that b4.
It almost felt like it was bogging out. I have brand new air filter. And spark plugs.

I just put on a magnaflow cat-back exhaust and sometimes when i idle i have a rattle and sometimes it will not rattle. I went under it and shook all around to see if anything was hitting but there was nothing i could see. What could it be?

I don't think I am in the right forum but I don't know where to post it. I have a 20th and when the car idles it shakes a little but when I take off the car rumbles alot the only way not to make it rumble is rev it to 1500rpm what can it be causing this?? I have a catback tt exhaust can it cause it to do it?

I've been fixing some boost leaks and changed "race" valve out to the stock "f" type...drove down road it's awesome put it back into 93 mode apr chip give it hell in 1st and 2nd then turn onto another road to repeat and when comes under boost it sputters...like a bad coil pack but wouldn't that mean it sputters from idle up?

Lately, every once in awhile my cars idle will drop and the car acts like it will die, but never does. I tried turning up the idle +50 with v-tune to see if it would cure the problem, but the car still acts like it will die during idle.

I have an 03 20th AE GTI, and I just had the crankshaft fixed. My car now smokes, and I thought it would stop smoking after a few hours of letting it run, but It still smokes, at Idle. and once I step on it after Idling, it smokes alot. but after constant driving, like on highway, It doesn't smoke.

My cars runs great no smoke unless i let it idle for a while then go there might be a little white smoke or blue smoke just depends, doesn't do it all the time just random, my oil is perfect no water in it so I don't think headgasket, its running a precision 50 trim bigger injectors and full 3 inch exhaust.

So I was warming up my car after work tonight, and it was idling really rough right above 1RPMS and i heard a lil knocking noise from the engine what could have caused this? I was parked on a slight hill but i doubt that has something to do with it.
Also my buddy told me a way to see if my clutch was going out, is to try and kill the car while in gear, so i tried 1st time it shook really really bad but didn't die. So I tried again and it seemed like it was trying to catch its self and then shook bad again and then died. I did this in 1st gear just letting off the clutch before giving it gas. Does this mean my clutch could be going out already? the car only has 63k on it...

Have a jazz blue chipped tuned with giac.. It does this random times.. When I come to a red light on idle the rpms go up and down just a bet but never stalls. The car vibrates and the engine shakes a bit. Engine is stable when car is on and off. Idk if its motor mounts or what?

While starting up the 337 this morning, I received a stumbling idle from the engine. I popped the hood and noticed that there was a bit of bluish / purplish discoloration on the tops of the coilpacks. Gonna replace the packs and plugs today, just wanted to know if there was anything else I should check for.
Also, this wouldn't be related to the death of the driver's side door lock module would it? (I noticed that when i opened the door, the light and the fuel pump didn't prime....)

I have a mk4 gli and I'm having a problem with serpentine belt squealing when I'm at idle and when I turn the ac on. It's isn't all that loud at idle but when I turn on my ac it gets real loud. My ac stopped working a little but after this noise started to happen. Could it be possible that it's the bearing in the compressor that is making it squeal or could it be somthing else?

The car will start up fine, run for 10 - 20 min and stall. I will try and restart it but i takes atleast 7 or 8 sec of the car just turning over before it slowly fires up. Which results in a high idle 1200-1400 rpm and the car stalling another 5 min later.
Ive fixed my o2 sensor the wire was cut, replaced the fuel filter, and got a eurojet lower pcv hose for the vacuum leak i found.

I got a 20th with 83k on it and when i let it sit at idle for like 10 min to warm up after i get in and give a little gas it smokes a little bit and smells like burnt oil.. would this be the case that my turbo is going bad??

I have a 03 20th ae gti with about 84k just replaced the coil packs. driving on the freeway then power just goes away, press on gas and nothing. limp it off the freeway. Then it starts to die at idle and hardly turns over. car is pretty much stock. new clutch at 75k.
