I have KW type ST coils for my 2004.5 gli and I cannot adjust them to the height I want, it said the rear coils were good for around a 2.5 inch drop and it dropped it a little less than an inch when they were all the way released.

View 3 RepliesI have a 20th anniversary gti and recently installed my 3 inch down pipe.. but after i got it installed my check engine light comes on. the code says its an 02 sensor. i got that o2 sensor spacer from ecs tuning.. but the light keeps on coming on.. what should i do? this light bugs me so much....

View 7 RepliesAbout a week ago I noticed my RPMs suddenly dropped while I was driving. a couple days later after driving the highway for about 45 mins, averaging probably 80-90mph, I got into town and I stopped for a car to park. Then it just stalled, I didn't notice a kick back, it's like the car just shut itself off. It took probably 10 attempts to start again. About a mile down the road it did the same thing pulling up to a stop light. I sat through 2 light cycles before it started again.
Got to my destination was there for maybe an hour, when I left the car started fine. Drove for about another hour on back roads when the Rpms started dropping again and I would need to dump the clutch to get them to go back up. Then my screen started beeping telling me to STOP with and oil pressure alert. I ended up driving the car home dumping the clutch whenever the rpms would drop. Once I got home I had my boyfriend take it out and nothing... Of course... A couple days have gone by and it hasnt been as bad but it still drops every now and then, and today after driving home maybe 5 miles it stalled again...
I've plugged it in and my speed sensor is throwing codes, but I don't think that's the entire problem. Whenever my car acts up the EPC light comes on but no check engine light so far. 2005 Jetta GLI 1.8t.....
I have a 20th ae, and I figured how to lower the fronts a bit...but the backs, I tried searching but didn't find much......
View 3 RepliesI just put on some brand new Bilstein shocks/struts with new mounts and some Neuspeed springs. It seems like the rear sits lower than the front. Maybe some polo bushings to bring the front down a bit? No stereo stuff of anything in the trunk..

View 10 RepliesI tried searching around, but nothing. the rear door on the passenger side sticks out a little, im wondering if there is an adjustment i can do to fix this.. its out less than a quarter inch. someone said adjust the striker, but i cant seem to find it.
View 8 RepliesI've been having trouble with my rear wiper since forever. Every time i try to use the washer fluid for the rear, it doesn't squirt right and fills up the motorized lock for the trunk and malfunctions the lock for a day or 2 until it drys. I had this same problem with my old 1.8t gti, just in that case i had to have the whole lock replaced due to the damage from the washer fluid (luckily the dealer payed for it).
I was thinking maybe swapping it out for the polo rear wiper on ecs tuning.
Pulling into work today and backing into my parking spot, a fellow employee noticed something odd about my front wheels, so he hopped in my car so I could see the issue.
From a dead stop accelerating forward, the front wheels shift a few inches to the rear, and same thing when backing up from a dead stop they shift to the front. Both sides are doing this evenly. I haven't thrown it on the lift yet but I was thinking a possibly bad dogbone mount. The car has 133K on it and the bone has never been touched.
If you don't have a high flow cat on, will it throw ur check engine light on, saying its the rear 02 sensor....
View 14 Replies20th Anniversary sat for 2 months and battery was flat when I went to start it today. I jumped it and got it running. However, when I went to close the hatch it will not stay latched. The latch on the hatch is hitting the striker on the lip of the trunk, but it just won't stay shut. Is any part of the latching mechanism electronically or vacuum operated?
View 4 RepliesIs this possible? I recently installed raceland ultimos and I get this weird muffled noise from the top of the rear suspension. Took it all apart, cut the bump stops shorter, and lubed the strut mounts. Sound went away for about 10 mins of driving, went for another drive and the sound was back. The next day the weather was warmer and the noise was gone. Should I just get new strut mounts?

View 5 RepliesMy rear camber is different from driver side and pass. the ride height is the same, looking from where the fender tucks the tire. but if you look from the rear it cambers in more. I don't know the problem.
View 23 RepliesVery weird indeed...our 20th AE sometimes will give off this very light horn noise that appears to be coming from the passenger rear tire area...I looked around and couldn't find anything..
The noise is very faint, and repeats in a beep, beep, beep and the longer it goes on, the more space between beeps....very weird.
Just got hit with the P0130 code when my CEL came on for the pre-cat o2 sensor. On ecs there are front and rear sensors. I'm assuming front would correspond to the pre-cat that is throwing the code?
