GTI 337/20th Anniversary :: Passenger Seat Wouldn't Click Back Into Place / Just Bounce

So over the past few months, my passenger side seat has been giving me some issues. When I pull the latch up to get into the back, sometimes the seat wouldn't click back into place when pushing it back down, it would just 'bounce'. After playing with the lever, up +down, eventually it would lock back in place. Yesterday however, I could not get it to lock in place, it just keep popping back up.
The seat also no longer folds forward, it is stuck in the _l position..

the backrest of my passenger seat won't click into place. The truck has the 3rd door but right now the seat is leaning forward (if there were no 3rd door, it's in the position to let someone get into the back seat). Is there a fix for this or do I need a whole new seat? (I'd rather not have to tear the fabric off the seat to do any work and I think a new seat would be cheaper and easier if that were the case)

The other day my transmission was driving fine, until I stopped to let someone out. When I tried to throw it back into gear, it wouldn't engage at all, just had a slight grind almost like the sound of a chain coming off a bike (so I pushed back in the clutch and parked it). I haven't been having any issues with it nor have I been driving it hard.

So I got in to my car today to goto school and noticed it smelled kinda musky. I happened to look behind the passenger side seat and there was 3in. of water on the floor so i looked up at the sunroof and there wasn't any stains or anything from water as well as the doors windows everything... It's the strangest thing I've seen the only thing wet is on the floor...

I tried searching and couldn't find any info about this... the problem is that after my FMIC install my hood won't lock unless i force it down by sitting on it... I checked with tape and everything to see if my upper FMIC pipe was hitting the hood but its not, and nothing else is hitting the hood.
The hood mechanism is working since I went over it with a screwdriver to see how it locked and everything. The only thing that comes to mind is that since the same piece that holds the hood mechanism is the one that holds my IC that is sagged down? but everything seems to be tight and not moving.

So last night I was driving home from work, and at a red light while i was waiting to go i had my clutch down when light turned green i tried to go and noticed i could not put it in gear and that my clutch pedal was stuck in place. i didn't know what to do so I checked my shifter plate everything looked fine so went to look at the pedal and i pulled it forward and it came lose. I started it up everything was fine and back to order. This morning going to work same thing happened again, I don't know what is going on and what could be the cause?

I just purchased a 99 1.8t and the drivers seat will not lock in place. It slides back and forth. I looked underneath and see the gearing but was wondering if this is a problem to where I need to remove the seat to fix or maybe some thing easier.

Quite literally just received the buyout agreement yesterday. My wife went out this morning to leave and the car turned over a couple times but wouldn't start. I went out and tried it and it would turn over, the engine would (pretty violently) bounce, but wouldn't start. The 4th or 5th try (as you see in the video below) started. Turned it off and tried again and just click, click, click. Seems like a classic case of a dead battery? Not seen a GTI react so violently to having a low battery before though...

So the other day i found a lake on the floor behind the drivers seat. Everywhere else is dry but there. A few days prior I got tapped by a ram enough to crack my rear bumper on the drivers side. I am wondering if the water came in through the crack? Everything is dry though under the spare tire . I know there's vents on the sides behind the bumper, but I don't think I got hit hard enough or at the right angle to bust a seal on the vents. I also blew air through the sunroof drains and they were all clear. Windows were closed and all doors were closed when it rained.

I'm new to the board always been into old school air cooled vws but just bought a 20th anniversary GLI Jetta and need to know how to deactivate the seat belt ding ding. The car did not come with an owners manual so can't look it up.

Whenever I take a turn my seat slides side to side, both bolts are tight in the front. Is there a way to tighten the lower half of the seat so it doesn't move?

So my Gti 337 it starts but it turns right back off starts and turns right back off people are telling me it's the fuel pump checked it it's not that people are saying its my ECM.

My 2006 VW GLI keeps having an intermittent seat belt warning chime even though my seat belt is fastened (and there is no one on the passenger side). It's nearly impossible to reproduce this problem as it will do it at different times of the day and sometimes not for a week. It generally chimes anywhere from 5-10 min despite the seat belt being fastened. I've tried re-buckling and I've tried shaking the buckle and neither worked.

Airbag light came on the other day while out on an errand. Take it to work and pull the codes. I got a low voltage code and a driver seat belt buckle code "00059" maybe I'm trying to recall but unsure. I have a pair of seat belt buckles out of a mk5 Jetta. Do these will plug into my mk4 by chance?

Started losing pressure on my clutch pedal yesterday. When I would push in the clutch pedal it would not push back up to the reset position. It would only come back up half the way. Now today I have a steady ABS light and ASR light on. Checked for fault codes and found no trouble code. Checked brake fluid resevoir for leaks; still has plenty of fluid. Checked slave cylinder bleeder valve for leaks and looks dry. The only thing I think it could be is the clutch master cylinder. If I drive the car for a few minutes I am able to build pressure back up in the clutch, however the ABS light and ASR light still remain while driving. Turning the car off and back on again shuts off the light for a few minutes until I start driving, but the clutch pressure starts back low again.

I just recently put in an APR chip on my o4 gli from one of their dealers, a day or two later I noticed when I try to accelerate fast my check engine light comes on and the car starts pulling back. That was almost a week ago, today I went back to the same place to get a short shifter, I told them the problem while I was there and they said it was my coil packages. My 6speed 05 mk4 gli is acting up!
The issue: when I'm driving (not every time) and letting the car coast to a stop after going about 30+mph lightly applying breaks, the car seems to die for a split second and come back to life. My radio turns off(restarts) headlights dim, heater fans die out. Rpms dip very low; but the car never totally dies or stalls.
I had my plugs changed recently thinking that was the the issue, but didn't work. Also my car is apr chipped. Another symptom is it idles pretty rough and lastly. Occasionally the car makes a funny high tuned sound that matches the rpm (ie revs up higher noise) ....
