I have been having an issue with my interior lights, namely all the dash lights (cluster, climate, stereo, etc)
I have to keep switching the euro switch back and forth until it finally switches on the interior lights. The headlights still work but not the fogs, unless the interior lights go on.
What this could be? Perhaps an electric problem? Faulty euro switch?
I just had the clutch replaced and immediately noticed the door open light on the dash wouldn't go off. I tried all the door, hatch and hood to check and it stayed on. Even if I turned off the interior lights, the interior marker light on the bottom corner of the passenger side door only will stay on, the drivers side goes off. I already called the place where the clutch was done and he said to bring it in and he'll take a look at it....which I'm doing today..... What the cause could be. Maybe the door switch is faulty?

View 5 Replies(6 speed)... I have faulty reverse lights, my speed sensor is working so I am sure it isn't the fuse, I am guessing this means the switch/sensor is broken. Where it is located, and what the correct part number is?
View 3 RepliesHaving a few electrical issues lately, that are really starting to irritate me. This is pretty random. OCCASIONALLY, not all the time. When I turn my euro switch all the way to the right, my windshield wipers will go across the windshield twice. Obviously the wipers aren't on. And I don't accidentally hit the stalk. This just random and annoying when it smears stuff across the windshield. I don't even know where to start.
View 2 RepliesI have led bulbs in the stock tray Because I can't find red bulbs to fit these tails. Can't put white bulbs because my brake lights will be white and NYPD will be on my case
1.w euro switch turned off one bar in 3rd brake light on and top two bulbs on but dim
2. When car is turned off switch off top bulbs stay on but dim but they turn off after a few minutes
3. Replaced both license plate bulbs and only the left side bulb will illuminate but if I turn the euro switch from on to off quickly the right bulb will Flicker as if it had a quick jolt of power to it.
4.turn signals are led ambers they blink way faster than stock is this normal?
so whenever i unlock my car with the remote on the key, i can open the door. while the door is still open it will lock back, turning the alarm on as well. would that have anything to do with the key? or some other problem?

I am switching my dome lights map lights etc to LED, and is having trouble removing the original bulb, any special ways to remove it, it seems stuck in there....
View 11 RepliesI'll be driving the 20th, and all of a sudden everything just cuts out and the car turns itself off (Only happens when I come to a complete stop). Afterwards, all dash lights come on until I turn the key back and forth and restart the car. After that, she drives perfectly and usually doesnt do that again but......She will either
1)Blip the radio off then immediately it will come back on
2)Today I turned on my DRLs and the illumination in the dash bliped out for about 3 seconds then came back on
3) When I shut the car off, every now and then she resets herself to where my clock resets back to noon and the odometer (trip mileage, not total) resets back to zero.
What ground to check, etc.
I changed the bulbs from the stock to LED then the error light was showing so I decided to switch back the stock lights (I did this while the lights were on).
And now my city lights will not turn on at all! It is a fuse that is causing this problem?
Was installing led license plate lights and they turned on for a second then shut off, I began trying to switch them around and do whatever I could but still wouldn't light up even put the stock ones in again and they wouldn't work.
View 8 RepliesSo I recently (within the last month) replaced my DV for a Forge 007 and my stock air box for an EVOMS v-flow. My cel came on after the DV switch and was throwing the P0420 code at me. Then I swapped the intake and it has been good but I felt like I was running a bit rich and pulled my codes and it now has P0030 in addition to P0420. Why this is? I have 88K miles. Spoke to a mechanic and he says he thinks it is my cat dying. I'm a bit confused since I have a turbo back exhaust.
View 6 Repliesso i bought projector headlights on my 05 gli and they were easy to install and for the first few days no problems, when the car was off and the lights on it was the parking (P) lights (amber lights), later if the lights were on and the car was off the radio would turn on, the A/C and the low beams would be on even if the hand-break was up, and i still have the DTR lights on. is it a short circuit problem???

View 5 RepliesI have a 20th anniversary gti and the driver side door wont lock and the gas door wont unlock. The passenger door is fine. The drivers side door will not lock from the switch inside the car or the remote. I already replaced the locking module and nothing changed. I also unplugged and cleaned the 3 plugs for the drivers side wiring harness.

He told me the dimmer switch is very warm all the time, but everything attached is out. Would it be a faulty dimmer switch? I had him check all the fuses, relays, but they're all good. I was wondering if he would need a new dimmer switch all together.

Just installed my Euro switch from USP Motorsports, When I have the DRL's on with fogs whichever side the flasher is activated on dims the L.E.D DRL instead of shutting it off or keeping it at full power. Is this normal?
