They are supposed to light up right? Mine don't ... Would this just be a light out or something?

View 11 RepliesMy climate control panel switch only works in 4. How do I remove the panel?
View 1 RepliesMy climate control dial lights have stopped working for some odd reason.. They dont light up anymore.
I checked the fuses, they all seem to be ok (is there even a fuse for these lights?) How do i go about fixing this problem?
I was wondering if it would be just a plug and play to exchange manual a/c controls to automatic climate control thingie. Id expect CAN coding but im just wondering if i could just bolt on and code or is there way much more to it like additional control module and what not .... maybe even not possible at all.
View 2 RepliesI was just wondering is the climate control self contained so it can be directly swapped for manual HVAC controls? I have a XLT and would like to upgrade the HVAC and radio system if possible if they are direct swaps.
View 3 RepliesI have a2011 f-250 in my fleet, manual a/c and just the other day it shut off like a switch, when you start the truck it comes on and the buttons all work but after 6 seconds it goes dead, no lights, no blower nothing, everything else works fine. I have also noticed when you first start when the radio goes from the station to the clock thats when the climate unit shuts off. talked to the dealer they said they never sell and control heads and i doubt its that cause it works on first start.
View 6 RepliesI have a 99 Passat and the lights behind the 3 heater control knobs just went out. All the other lights work. I tried to get the radio out to get to the lights but it seems a special tool is needed. I tried some homemade devices but they did not work.
View 3 RepliesMy ABS and traction control light come on after I get in the car and pass the speed of ~18 mph. I have read a bunch of posts so I know the likely causes. However, I am a noob to most of this stuff and not really sure where the sensor is.
View 2 RepliesI have a 20th AE. My traction control light went on and stayed on while I was driving and now it won't go away. I hit the switch to try to turn traction control on, but the light still on and traction control is still inoperative. I havn't really checked out what could be wrong yet, so what could be the fault and what I should check first.
View 14 RepliesI get in my car to leave Target last night and the ABS light & "traction control off" light (normally on when I push the ECS button on the dash) turned on. Did the usual turn the car off and wait for routine, but that didn't work. Haven't made any changes to the car, and it hasn't rained in a while either so I don't think it's due to water shorting something out. As you all know, the DIY sticky post doesn't work anymore, so that's why I'm probably posting a repeat of something.
View 7 RepliesI am getting really irritated with my ac control lights not working. my friend with a gti has the same issue. but we have both changed out the whole piece from a working car and still no lights. i checked my fuses and nothing blown missing 2 fuses (pic card shows KEYS) my lights have been out for over 2 years. some days I don't care but now its really on my last nerve. The last time i remembered they didn't work then one day they did another day.
View 5 RepliesThis past weekend my ESP light came on and won't go off...along with that I realized that my cruise control stopped working as well. I did a search...saw something about a brake light recall? However didn't find an answer to this combination of things. The only mod under the hood I have is a p-flo intake. What might be up?
View 17 RepliesI recently got a 2005 Gli and its on coils and as I was leaving a driveway I scraped pretty bad going slow too and right after my abs and traction control light came on ...being new I thought the car was giving weird problems and I checked a couple posts and saw that it might be the ABS wire...
View 6 RepliesSo I own a 04 GLI and for some reason I went to turn my lights on one day and the lighting to my Heater/AC controller light is not working.
View 8 RepliesSo a week ago i needed to change my mass air sensor due to every time it was raining it would almost stale and my check engine light was on. Now this week both my traction and engine lights are on always. When i start my car u. The morning it turns over but almost dies due to The rpms so low basically it's almost stalling if i give it gas usually it kicks it over then stays on no problem. ALSO if i reev high i hear a little grind or moan noise as well.
View 12 RepliesMy rear control arm bushings are cracking. I was wondering if this is a serious problem and what negative effects it will have if I leave them alone.
View 10 RepliesSo out of nowhere my ABS and traction control light came on yesterday, then this morning it went away. When I got to work I pulled my e-brake and both lights came back on again wtf???? It's a 02 gti 337. Seems I am just having alot of luck to start off the week........
View 8 RepliesJust as the topic states. Works fine in fifth but not in sixth.
View 9 Repliesso another winter has come to me in michigan and i had to take off my nice performance tires and put on the winter steelies. but as i come to now with them on, my ESp light has come on, on my dash and wont turn off even if i reset the car. i havent checked the VAGCOM yet cause that laptop is at my parents. the tires are the same i used last year and didnt have this happen either. any thoughts on this and what could be wrong? haveing no traction control in the winter is not cool to have in my book.
View 11 RepliesThe heater control knob cracked on my 2011 Ford F150. Where I can get a replacement and how to take that off?
