View 1 RepliesMy climate control dial lights have stopped working for some odd reason.. They dont light up anymore.
I checked the fuses, they all seem to be ok (is there even a fuse for these lights?) How do i go about fixing this problem?
They are supposed to light up right? Mine don't ... Would this just be a light out or something?
View 11 RepliesI need to remove the automatic climate control module on my Touareg 2004, but I can't seem to get it to release. I have removed the radio and the metal frame to which it attaches. I have also disconnected all the electrical connectors from the climate control unit. Still no luck. The climate control unit doesn't move up, and when I try to pull it towards me it appears to be locked by something as it only comes out a tiny little bit.
View 1 RepliesI just bought a 2014.5 Camry SE. I am really loving this car but I have a question. The black shiny climate control panel (manual climate control) seems a little cloudy. I was wondering if this has a protective film from the factory that needs to be peeled off. I cannot tell by looking at it, and don't want to mess with it until I know.
View 1 RepliesThere’s a problem with my climate-control system. When I turn the fan on, there is no air blowing through the outlets on the instrument-panel. (There is air blowing thru the 2 vents immediately above the floor, and some air blowing at the base of the windshield). This problem exists regardless of what speed I turn the fan on, and regardless of which climate-control setting I choose (or whether I turn on the A/C).
This problem WAS occurring on an intermittent basis, and seemed to develop in RESPONSE TO my turning the knob to “defrost.” Now, however, the problem seems to be permanent. I wonder whether the basic problem is with the round knob that controls the various climate-control settings, as this knob seems somewhat hard to turn.
I have a 2004 Buick Century sedan, with automatic transmission (4speed) w/overdrive, V-6 engine 3.1 L.
The backlighting on my climate control panel AND my Gear Shift area is not working. My ride is a 2011 ES350 Garage Queen with less than 3,000 miles. That's not a typo. I have less than 3K miles.
View 3 RepliesI was following the directions on the APR site to remove the ECU and it seems to not make sense. Saying the ECU is on the passenger side underneath the molding....
is the ECU in the center?
how do I do it? I can't twist them off and I'm weary about trying to pry them out.
View 3 RepliesI cannot get the back cup holder section out. It seems like it's held on there good. I removed the little coin tray and don't see anything and took out the sliding cup holder as well. What am I doing wrong?
View 2 RepliesMine broke and needs to be replaced but i can't find any directions on how to remove it.
View 9 RepliesSo I have been looking but cant really seem to find an efficiant way to remove my stock shifter.
View 1 RepliesFirst off my vents stopped blowing completely. At this time the thermostat was still functioning. Fuse 28 was blown. I replaced the fuse and it blew again shortly after turning the heater on. I replaced the relay and resistor and still blowing fuses. For some reason I tried a 30A fuse and it didn't blow but a few minutes after turning on the heater there was a burning smell. I immediately turned it off and pulled the fuse back out, which was hot. I then replaced the blower motor and at this point there is no power at all to the control panel. The fuses are all fine as well as the relay and resistor. There's power to the fuses. So it seems like somewhere between the fuse box and the control panel I'm losing power.
View 7 RepliesMy passenger side door panel over bumps has a slight rattle, seems like it's coming from the upper door toward the window...
View 15 RepliesMy ABS and traction control light come on after I get in the car and pass the speed of ~18 mph. I have read a bunch of posts so I know the likely causes. However, I am a noob to most of this stuff and not really sure where the sensor is.
View 2 RepliesI have a 20th AE. My traction control light went on and stayed on while I was driving and now it won't go away. I hit the switch to try to turn traction control on, but the light still on and traction control is still inoperative. I havn't really checked out what could be wrong yet, so what could be the fault and what I should check first.
View 14 RepliesI get in my car to leave Target last night and the ABS light & "traction control off" light (normally on when I push the ECS button on the dash) turned on. Did the usual turn the car off and wait for routine, but that didn't work. Haven't made any changes to the car, and it hasn't rained in a while either so I don't think it's due to water shorting something out. As you all know, the DIY sticky post doesn't work anymore, so that's why I'm probably posting a repeat of something.
View 7 RepliesI am getting really irritated with my ac control lights not working. my friend with a gti has the same issue. but we have both changed out the whole piece from a working car and still no lights. i checked my fuses and nothing blown missing 2 fuses (pic card shows KEYS) my lights have been out for over 2 years. some days I don't care but now its really on my last nerve. The last time i remembered they didn't work then one day they did another day.
View 5 RepliesThis past weekend my ESP light came on and won't go off...along with that I realized that my cruise control stopped working as well. I did a search...saw something about a brake light recall? However didn't find an answer to this combination of things. The only mod under the hood I have is a p-flo intake. What might be up?
View 17 RepliesI recently got a 2005 Gli and its on coils and as I was leaving a driveway I scraped pretty bad going slow too and right after my abs and traction control light came on ...being new I thought the car was giving weird problems and I checked a couple posts and saw that it might be the ABS wire...
View 6 RepliesSo I own a 04 GLI and for some reason I went to turn my lights on one day and the lighting to my Heater/AC controller light is not working.
