When I Accelerate It almost feels like I am fluttering the gas pedal. Its weird on my car now I have revo stage 2, a TIP, 42DD TBE, 4bar FPR.. Do I need to buy a race n75 vavle ?
View 11 RepliesI just bought a forge 007 and an apr chip. When i installed the DV i ran it in reverse and am getting a fluttering noise.... i'm running the yellow spring which should be right for a chipped car.
View 6 RepliesI had my shift fork and 1 and 2 gear synchros replaced. Whenever i shift into second it doesnt feel as smooth as first. when i hold the clutch longer and put it into second it feels smoother.
View 2 RepliesI just recently replaced my radiator and cold air intake. right after I did and I drove it, my car was idling high at 1.5 and the brakes feel like they are going out. I am kind of confused as to how this is even related.
View 2 RepliesI don't know whats wrong, last night i was driving and all of a sudden the car started to feel like it had a flat tire. The music was loud so i was sure...i pulled over and sudden my cel starts flashing. I turned the car off looked under the hood and couldn't see much (it was dark) i turned it back on and the same thing, when i accelerate there is a loud noise that seems to come from under my seat as well as a sort of stutter/putting like right before your stall out in a manual car.

View 16 RepliesA couple months ago i posted that i had some choppy acceleration. I didn't do anything about it because I was looking for my vag-com cable but couldn't find it. well, i still haven't found it but my problem is getting worse. I have an older version of vag-com 303 and i think that it only supports serial.
Let me also describe my problem and what i have done so far to try and remedy it: basically, when i start to accel from a stop it doesn't accel smooth and feels like it is about to go limp and then all of a sudden i get this burst of accel. it is much more noticeable when accel from a stop but it is also noticeable when pressing the throttle, just does not accel smooth and once in a while, i get this sudden burst of power. And the car has gone into some kind of limp mode twice so far.
Once with my wife and just the other day when i was on the freeway, i lost all power and the EPC light came on and the ESP round arrow thingy. i pulled over, shut off the car and 30 sec later i was able to start driving again and all the lights went out, but of course, choppy accel still persists. the other day when i was accel i heard a POW from underneath. and my wife tells me she has heard it once before. when i remove the cable from the MAF everything goes back to normal. i cleaned the existing MAF, and when that did not work i replaced the MAF and still the same problem.
This started recently and it's definitely out of the norm... When I activate my signal and it switches off, i still hear the ticking but no lights are flashing. it'll go on for about a few sec then shut off, sometimes comes on even when i didn't activate my blinkers. Also when i start my car i feel a vibration from under my feet. Sounds like a knocking noise when i accelerate/turn. But then goes away after about 20 seconds of driving.
View 13 RepliesSometimes while driving if i accelerate the car fully the rpms will accelerate way to fast (at least 2x faster than usual) without picking up much speed at all. I can tell that the car is not going to full boost. The problem is the worst in 5th and 6th gear (when the car is relying more on boost im guessing?) and will happen one day and be perfectly fine the next. I just had the car checked for a boost leak about 3 weeks ago so i dont think its that. The car is chipped with uni stage 1+ (20psi) and has a full 3 inch turboback.
View 15 RepliesI just recently put in an APR chip on my o4 gli from one of their dealers, a day or two later I noticed when I try to accelerate fast my check engine light comes on and the car starts pulling back. That was almost a week ago, today I went back to the same place to get a short shifter, I told them the problem while I was there and they said it was my coil packages. I replaced all 4 and im still having the same problem...
View 2 RepliesMy friends car just messed up. at a stop sign he heard clanking. then he put it in first to accelerate and the car wouldn't move just rev the rpms like if your on neutral but he can hear clanking around the gearbox or so. what can it be? i told him it cant be his entire tranny or his clutch that something must have came lose. what could it be?

Every time i accelerate, turn it on or rev it up it sounds like a turbo diesel truck! I have no clue what it could be..
I recently got the GTI 1.8L 337 with 64,000 on it. It had been sitting, with daily start-ups, for about 8 months until the ALT was replaced. I've been driving it for a month with no problems until last week. At first I noticed the clutch pedal would pause on the way up for a split second then tap the bottom of my shoe. I thought maybe it needed adjustment but nothing serious. A few days ago the pedal would stick at 3/4 of the way up, and stay there most of the time unless I raised it with my foot, till the car warmed up a bit. Yesterday and today the pedal started to stick 1/4 of the way up, unless raised with my foot, at the morning start-up and will only come up 3/4 when warm. It also wont go into reverse at initial start-up until it gets really warmed up, shifting into other gears is fine. I've had no problems or real sounds shifting into any other gears, though out of 1st has been a little jumpy.
View 3 RepliesWe were headed home the clutch pedal went soft... Ok, I thought it's either the clutch master or slave. I get it home and replace the master and after bleeding I had good pedal feel.
Great I thought, I got lucky and it was only the master. Drive it around for a bit and get on the highway and just as I was about to downshift the pedal went flat to the floor again.
Well after pumping the pedal until it had good feel again I got it home and bleed it a couple more times just to make sure I got all the air out. Drove it again. Same thing, after a little while the pedal gets soft again.
Now before I go and replace the slave is it possible I have a faulty master? Having issues after replacing the master?
Car ran perfectly normal. come back out start the car, the EPC light comes on, and my gas pedal doesn't work. Doesn't do a THING...first 3 times i killed it and re-started it, the rpms shot up to 4500 for a second then fell to around 1100 and stayed there. now i start it and it just hangs at 1100. car has 47k miles on it, a 3in DP 2.5in magnaflow catback, short ram intake, TIP, 710N DV, stock N75. Only thing I can think of is TPS but I don't have access to a vag com.

View 8 RepliesI keep finding air every time i bleed my clutch. I am not losing fluid but i can not figure out whats causing my problems. The pedal is soft at first and then gets harder and it sometimes needs pumped before i change gears or to even get into gear. I am afraid its the slave but i also just may have air in the system.
View 8 RepliesI just replaced my clutch and have put everything back together, and bled my clutch line, but I have absolutely no pressure still in my pedal. I read that u need to make sure your brake fluid reservoir is filled to the max, but following the clutch line, I dont see it going to the reservoir? I also read that the master cylinder is behind the clutch pedal, does the master cylinder hold any fluid that maybe I lost during the bleeding? I'm at a loss right now.
