Just installed e-codes in my car about a week or so ago.. When I did, the blinkers started to blink very fast. All the bulbs work fine and everything, and the hazards blink normally as well. Does this normally happen?
View 7 RepliesI just bought some LED blinkers for my tail lights and after I installed them, I'm getting a fast blinker thing like my lights are out. I know that LEDs don't draw as much power but is there anyway to fix this? Also, if I buy the Valenti tail lights that are LEDS, will I have that issue with them?
View 13 RepliesI just installed a brand new 42DD downpipe in my car about two weeks back. About a week later, I started noticing a rattle that I hadn't heard before, coming from the undercarriage, about mid way back, where I assumed the downpipe is. I only hear the rattle at low RPMs, like 1000-1500 revs, when I pull away from a light. I can stop the rattle by giving it more gas before letting the clutch all the way out, but if it's something I can easily fix myself, I'd rather just do it.
I searched some DIYs and found this. [URL]..................................... I bought new sets of stage 1 dogbone mounts that I need to put in soon, probably next week when I'm on break, if that will remedy it.
My fuse keeps blowing for my blinkers i legit changed it probably five times and it blows after i use them once. What good the problem be?

View 2 RepliesI have a 20th anniversary gti and recently installed my 3 inch down pipe.. but after i got it installed my check engine light comes on. the code says its an 02 sensor. i got that o2 sensor spacer from ecs tuning.. but the light keeps on coming on.. what should i do? this light bugs me so much....
View 10 RepliesOk so I installed HIDs in my stock housing, I no longer have high beams since I bought the low beam ones only and I think since there is nothing running to where the high beam wire on the oem harness my high beam light on the cluster is stuck on no matter if its on low beams or high beams and its causing my Fogs to not work.
View 7 Repliesi just installed my downpipe and i took it around the block and i opened the hood and there was smoke coming from the turbo could it be b.c i didnt put the washers witht he bolts to connect the dp but i put them on really tight or could it be the wd40 i sprayed on to loosen the bolts?

The temperature actually just rises when i start driving and the mpg doesnt change at all? Should I just disconnect the battery so it resets? ]

View 10 Repliesthe blinkers keep working and not working now they aren't of course.. but the left one only worked then something happened and the left only stayed on (not blinking) when the head lights were on. then it switched now they don't turn on at all. the fuses are good the relay is good all the wires are good I got new bulbs in as well and pointers. it's a Pontiac starchief 1966 and the flasher is good

View 2 RepliesOk, It doesn't start, it tries to but doesn't get there, its not the battery the alternator, the starter or the battery terminals which goes to my second question...for error codes do I just pop them in google to see what they mean or is there a better site??....reason why I'm removing the lip its because its being towed to the mechanic, its at my job's parking lot right now, first time ever my VW leaves me stranded but I guess it happens:

For about two months I've been having a backfire problem but only when I get on it. We checked for leaks and nothing . The car had 11 codes and were all short to ground. Mechanic is saying my ecu is going out and I need a new one. Is it possible?
View 8 RepliesI am trying to swap my ecu for a chipped one out of an 04 gti 1.8. Both awp engine codes. I programmed the immobilized and the car doesn't start. I am thinking it has the ignition kill feature but the guy who sold it to me doesn't think it does. i was just wondering if the ecu's are compatible even though the part number is different.
View 8 RepliesI changed my sparkplugs and coil packs last month. Was getting CEL light but it would go away after a while. I figured out that I had gapped my spark plugs way to small (almost touching) so I took them out two nights ago and regapped/ reseated them.
My car was running fine yesterday, but today when I started my car up, the engine was shaking a lot for about 10 seconds and the CEL was blinking. After 10 seconds the shaking and CEL went away...
It drove fine. I'm just wondering what could be throwing these CEL's and causing the shaking? Plugs are gapped to 0.32
Also, I had my timing belt and water pump replaced almost two weeks ago now. Any chance that could be lending to the problem?
My guess is that one or more cylinders are screwy. I'd rather not bring it into the vw mechanic since I'm tight on cash.
There ended up being 6 or 7 codes. Originally the first O2 sensor and wire seemed to go bad, I replaced them and it ran well for a couple days and then started running like ass again...Now there are a few codes, none for the 02 sensor, but for over boost issues...Does this mean my n75J valve is causing the problems? Is it possible that my software is just going bad? ...I bought the car somewhat molested and don't quite know the extent of the parts on it, nor the brands( specifically, the software...).
The current codes being thrown:
P0238 mani pres g31 sig to high
P0234 overboost
P0106mani barometric sensor g31
We replaced the manifold pressure sensor, and am not having the issues but they could and probably will come back after 50 or so miles...Previous code also was P1114 02 sensors and we replaced the front sensor. It may be that the software that is on the car is starting to go..
The center AC vent has started to peel. Any tricks to repainting it or good place to get the part to replace it? Any good tips for it's removal before I just dive in?

I have an 04.5 jetta gli ... Mods are unitronice stage 2, eurojet tb exhaust, cold air intake, diverter valve, nothing else really.
So, whenever I'm driving alone my car is fine. But once I have a really heavy person in my car, or maybe 2 people in it, as soon as I start the car I hear a vibration. It sounds as though it could be my exhaust? Because before I had it installed months ago it would never do this.
Also, as I accelerate I feel and hear that it is bogging like my car is struggling to go fast and i do see some signs of loss of power. So is it the exhaust?
