So the light came on the other day, took the car to the stealers for the 60,000km service and just figured they would just clear the fault code. Turns out i needed a new airbag harness in and under the drivers seat.

View 2 RepliesSo I bought my 20th with the airbag light on... Never really bothered me till now as I'm tying to fix everything that's wrong with it. I vagcom'd it and it said driver side seat buckle was the fault. Looked under the seat and it seems the white plug isn't plugged in. I haven't taken anything apart yet to get a closer look, but could that be the problem? Does that plug actually plug into something or is it just a loose plug?

I didnt cut any wires so i know it couldnt be that. I pulled the fuse out and put it back in, now it works but sounds like a old man with extreme lung problems. So today I get in my car and the air bag light is on solid, no blinking. I scanned it with my scanner and it says no codes Any body else have this happen? I got a bad feeling about this light

I got a low voltage code and a driver seat belt buckle code "00059" maybe I'm trying to recall but unsure. I have a pair of seat belt buckles out of a mk5 Jetta. Do these will plug into my mk4 by chance?
View 2 RepliesI have a 04.5 GLI, recently my car has been giving me an alert that i'm having a break fault, it tells me to stop the car and check the service manual however I'm not having any trouble with my breaks at all, and I'm not exactly sure what the problem is, In the manual it says that I need to change my break fluid, but my fluid is fine, I was thinking maybe a sensor, or something is off?
View 8 RepliesSo I picked up a 337 a little while ago, which I absolutely love, but there are some fault codes I have to deal with. Pretty sure I took care of the ABS hydraulic pump code. The ABS and ASR light came on after driving in some snow, but I found a thread about that, cleaned the fuses and the light is no longer on.
The following are the problems I am experiencing while driving the car:
I am seeming to have a power drop in 1st gear at low rpms. I have never driven a turbo'd car but I don't believe this is just turbo lag. It isn't a quick increase in power, rather a brief decrease, sort of like it's bogging down. I thought it was just me at first, but I have noticed it too many times and my gf even noticed it. I am not sure if this is related, but I thought I would mention it.
On occasion the dash lights will flash off then back on and reset my trip odo and clock. This has been happening more frequently as of late. It normally happens when I turn the lights on, or switch the brights on. The engine has completely turned off once at a stop light. I am currently searching all the codes online and am hoping to find a solution, but I am definitely concerned.
Also the AC/heater controls dials lights are out (just the three dials), and the 12v power outlet is not working. I tried switching the fuse but it isn't that. Thought this might connected. Final bit of info, the instrument cluster had a problem and was replaced by a dealer on November 29th. I don't know much more about it, I bought it right after that was done. Here are the actual fault codes.

the piece where the passenger side seat belt clicks into has a chunk broken off of it, now im assuming that this is causing most (maybe all?) of the problem here?

View 10 RepliesI have a couple of fun curves I hit daily and most days I push the car pretty hard. So, I hit one the other day on the way home from work and the freaking airbag light came on with a fault message. I immediately suspected that when my seat belt tightened that the sensor in the seat belt connector freaked out. I later scanned with VAGCOM and confirmed that I have the famous high resistance message for the driver side seat belt connector. I remember that some people had luck by cleaning the connections to the bottom of the seat and the switch. Maybe that is all I have to do. Got to love the .:R. I break stuff as fast as I fix stuff.
View 13 Repliesso today i removed the radio bezel from my 06 and i left the key on like an idiot and now my airbag fault light is on I reconnected the bezel i make sure that the plug was on and still airbag fault light is on.
