Coming back from a trip I got a e-brake light show up on the dash then noticed the signals stopped working and the heated seats no longer turn on. I scanned it with my AE and got a brake fluid sensor error come up but nothing about the signals .... is this a common problem or is there a connection between all this? 2003 F350 6.0L .....
View 2 RepliesI own a 1999 F350 CC SRW w/ 7.3L PSD engine. My turn signals stopped working suddenly. I've checked the fuse panel under the dash but it doesn't show any fuse for the turn signals.
My hazards do work although I noticed something very strange. When I tilt the steering column down the hazards stop working and when I tilt the column all the way up they work again. Still no turn signals though.
I have a 2004 350. Turn signals quit working don't come up on dash either but when I turn the flashers on the left turn signal on come on that's on the dash and the lights. I replaced the turn signal relay that's under the radio. The old one would buzz when I turned the turn signal on but nothing would come up the new one clicks as it should but I'm still not getting turn signals lights on dash nor the light it's self. The flasher is still like it was only the left one comes on.
View 1 Replies2012 f250 diesel Lariat 4dr 4x4. He called me today cause he knows I do all the work on my own F250 diesel. He has heated seats in the back and he said that they turn on by them selves and they won't turn off. He had to actually disconnect the wire harness to get the heating elements to turn off so his wife's friends wouldn't burn their bottoms in the middle of august is Texas.. Any ways, he said both sides are staying on and wouldn't turn off using the switch.
I'm not very familiar with the heated seat wiring, especially for the back seats. I told him their may have been a relay that went bad, but now I"m thinking that they much have a controller or something that is acting up. He said that the front seats are acting normal. Also, he has the touch screen and navigation upgrade as well as auto climate control, not sure if this stuff matters for the back seats though...
I've driven home from a tree nursery with a utility trailer - hazards on at about 60kph. Took me about twenty minutes to get home. It's a pretty warm day so AC was on. I turned the hazards off to signal turns and then put it back on when it was straight road.
After disconnecting the trailer and later driving to pick up the kids, I noticed the turn signals wouldn't blink but the hazards would still work. The AC would not respond, nor would any of the climate control buttons. The heated seat controls are dead and also the 12V DC outlet next to the seat switches seems to be dead. However, the airbag compressor control still functions normally, the diff lock button still works fine, the headlights and hi-beams still work as well.
I took a few minutes when I reached the first school to check through the fuse box under the hood but there wasn't anything obvious. I'm also considering just removing the negative on the battery to reset the computer. Then, there' s the window thing....
Its and 09, I can hear a relay click under the dash. It has gotten really hot since i bought it in sept to the point where I had to turn it off because I thought it was going to burn my bottom. I am guessing its not an easy fix.
View 4 Replies1999 F250 super duty. I am having a problem with the front right turn signal not working. The indicator on the dash also does not work but I can hear the relay clicking double time and the rear signal works. I have changed the bulb and fuses and went under the dash and the column to be sure a connection had not come loose. I have looked through the forums to try and find an answer with no luck. What to try next?
View 4 RepliesHaving a problem with my truck and I'm stuck. About 9 months ago my 4wd stopped working. Turn the switch and no light or noise. I took a look at fuses and everything was good there. I let it go but now I need 4wd. Today I checked every fuse and all of them were good. I moved to the relays checked them and they were good but for the heck of it replaced them. Checked for power at the pins. The one that needed power had power. Next I went to the switch had 12 volts there. Pulled switch and test with a multimeter and ohms were good. Went. Down to the motor and tested for power there not power to the motor. Is there anything else I'm missing Esof not working. 2002 f350 7.3 auto....
View 2 RepliesI have a 2002 F250, 5.4 extended cab 4x4. Factory lights. I have no turn signals. They were working just fine and without turning off the truck, all 4 corners quit working at the same time, as far as I know. The indicator lights on the instrument cluster don't work. I have checked/replaced all fuses. Replaced the switch lever and the blinker relay behind the dash. The hazards do work and always have. It might be coincidence but I believe the back-up lights quit working at the same time.

I did search but have had no luck. My turn signals do not work, unless my foot is on the brake pedal my green arrow indicator wont even turn on. When they do my bulbs work but don't cycle so I know all the bulbs are good as I had my wife check all four corners when I got them to come on for a split second. I have tried replacing the MFS and the turn signal relay under the radio in the dash.... When I do turn on my blinkers I can hear the relay click once but that is it, no more.
I tried checking the wiring in the column and tilting the column to its extremes while trying to engage the turn signals. Also, if I unplug the brake light switch then I do not get an arrow on the IC to light up so I am guessing the power flows through that switch. I don't have a chilton manual yet and the owners manual was not in the truck. I did check fuse 23 ?
I was adding some more running lights today and tried to tie in to the front running/turn signal light. Next thing I know I hear a pop and now no turn signals, hazards or brake lights on my 99 F250 SD V10. My 3rd (center) brake light does work though when I press the brake, it's just the tail brake lights that dont work.
I can't find a blown fuse for the turn signals or brake lights (not really sure which fuse box it's in since the manual doesn't tell me what fuse is what)
I however did find what I'm guessing are the flashers behind the radio. What might have went wrong where before I start dumping money in to flashers and relays.
The next question is, can I jump in to the marker/turn signals and add another single LED light to them off the front? If I can which color wire does what?
I recently got a 2009 f350 lariat, the mirrors have the "heated" emblem on them but for the life of me I cant find a switch anywhere to turn them on, are they automatic?
View 8 RepliesJust bought a 2011 F450 king Ranch. really like the truck but the heated seats a REALLY slow to warm up and then just warm. I see that these work different than all the other heated seats I have used and use the blower motor to blow warm or cool air through the seats instead of an element under the seat covers. Is there anything I can do to get more heat? The blower filters look ok and will replace the when I can find a set. Tries without the filter and didn't see much of an improvement. Where is the heat element and is it east to get to?

View 4 RepliesSo I shorted wires out putting a new plug on my mirror, and now I have no turn signals, no backup lights and no overhead display that shows mpg and outside temp. All fuses are good, and I don't think it is my flasher relay just because I also have no park lamps or over head display.

I would love to add the towing mirrors (preferably heated with signals), but what I am wondering is if the connectors for the mirrors are the same. Also would my truck that came with the standard paddle mirrors be wired for turn signals and heated options? How would I test for this? Also do all XLT's come prewired for the hardwire keyless entry pad if they have keyless entry?
View 1 Replies2000 V10 F250 - daughter is using my truck and called to tell me the turn signals weren't working. She called me shortly after and said she adjusted the tilt and hazard lights came on and now she can't turn them off. I had her pull the hazard fuse to stop them. She then noticed the brake light weren't working. I don't know if the brake lights were because she pulled the fuse or she just noticed they weren't working.
A week or two ago, she said she parked the truck, turned it off and took the keys. When she came back out, the truck had rolled across the street. Periodically, over the years, I would go to start the truck and nothing happened. I would shift the gear selector in and out of drive. Then the truck started.
Finally, since I've owned the truck, the when I activated the left turn signal, the selector frequently wouldn't stay "locked" till I turned. So, are these related? Do I have multiple issues going on in the steering column. Where to start looking when she gets the truck home?
2005 F350 Super Duty. I have no brake lights turn signals or hazards. dealer suggested the multiswitch but changed it and still not working?
