View 14 RepliesI've checked the fuses, the lights are on on the switches, but I have no power at the wires under the hood. I'm adding lights and would like to use those switches..
View 2 RepliesI have the ford upfitter switches in my 07 f350 and i had two flashing lights wired to switch 4 (10 amps) for snow plowing. The lights were LED and shouldn't have drawn much power but suddenly the lights stopped working because thers no power going to the fourth switch. They work on all the other switches. What could be the problem?
View 5 RepliesI am putting work lights and LED warning lights on the back rack of the 2014 F350 diesel in work. Where are the wires for the upfitter switches, and are they prewired into the fuse box, or do i have to hook them up?
View 7 RepliesA few of my clearance lights have gone out... and I'm looking to replace them. I was told the bulb type was "194" and was wondering if I could just drop in some 194 type LED bulbs like these, in amber color without changing anything else [URL] ..... I'm assuming it will plug right in but wanted to make sure
View 14 RepliesI just picked up a 2001 Ford F350 4x4 7.3 SRW last week. I've been slowly going through the truck replacing everything. One thing I've always liked on trucks is the cab clearance lights, which this one doesn't have (it's a base XLT with no options).
So I looked on Amazon and ended up ordering this....
But then I realized that the harness isn't included, and I can't find it for sale anywhere. I searched the Ford parts site but can't seem to find it.
I'm thinking about returning those lights and getting this set: [URL] .... But I'm not 100% sure that the harness that's included will fit my truck, it only says Ford.
I just bout a F350 V10, 2008. All is great except for the clearance lights. I took advice from this site....checked the bulbs....replaced the fuse....still doesn't work. There is no damage on this truck. Is there something special I need to do to turn these lights on?
View 2 RepliesHow hard is it to install the upfitter switches and the fog lights? Is it all plug and play?
View 4 RepliesI have a 2010 F250 super duty. I use it for work so I am not sure what happened to it as others have driven it, but here is the issue. When i start it up in 2wd, the 4x4 Low light flashes continually. If I turn the switch to 4x4 high, the 4x4 high light flashes continually. if i turn it to 4x4 low, that light flashes continually. I have read the forums but haven't been able to find the problem/diagnosis for this.
View 2 RepliesShould the indicator above reads "4x2, 4x4 hi, 4x4 low" light up when the driving lights (i.e. at night) switch is on?
If yes, how to change the light bulb?
I currently have Aux2 hooked up to my on-board compressor and it works like a charm...so I'd like to think I know how the wiring works for the upfitters haha.
This weekend I installed an electronic solenoid valve for my slip-tank so I can fuel up on the go. The valve is 110V AC and had two wiring leads of the same color so I assumed either/or could be used for power and the other for ground. I wired it all up running a power lead from Aux3 back to the valve and grounded the other wire to the body. To my surprise...no power! Can a 110V AC valve not be used in this application or is my wiring simply messed up/not making contact?
I want to install a set of upfitter switches but my truck didn't come with them...so I bought the switches and the relay/wire harness as well...I cannot find any good information on where to mount the relay and where an extra plug on that harness goes too. I have found the wires that attach and go through the firewall but I am not sure where the rest of this mess goes...my truck did not come with the wire harness already installed...
View 4 RepliesRecently purchased a 2013 F350 w/upfitters. Figured Ford would have made access to the stubs easier by now (previous was an 05 6.0 ) and of course not. A bit more challenging. What parts of the dash do I attack and how. As the dealer is willing to charge only 40 bucks to connect any wires I run to the vicinity, I figure there's a slam dunk sequence for access.
View 7 RepliesThis has been beaten to death but all the old threads I read are for 2011 to present SDs so I wanted to make sure I can add these to my 2008 before I spend $ on the switches. Anything I should look out for on the install? Once they are installed I would like to add front and rear strobes along with a roof light for plowing.
View 3 RepliesI need to replace a bulb (I hope) in my center clearance light and need to remove the amber lens cover. Lots of info about installing for those without but I haven't been able to find anything about removing the lens cover so that I can replace a bulb. I'm working with a 2008 F-450.
View 6 RepliesI just got a 15 f250 with the console and nav system but it didn't come with the upfitter switches.
I picked these up and got a copy of the .pdf for the installation, but I'm finding it hard to follow for where the relay and box should install. I ran the wire up to the upfitter switch location and can even find a nice spot to connect the grounding wire.
I can't for the life of me figure out where the box installs and where the wiring harness taps into the main harness. Need a photo of where your box is installed and where it taps into the main harness?
My '99 truck doesn't have fog lights installed, but the headlight switch pulls out. Is there a way to add fog lights and have the headlight switch activate them? Is there something pre-wired, yet untapped? I don't want to start adding extra switches.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2010 F250 and wanted to power a dash camera using the upfitter switches. I purchased a 12volt wire, but am unsure on where to wire it so that it will only power up when the ignition is on..
View 7 RepliesI would like to do the high idle mod with my 2006 F-350 using the upfitter switches. I've seen a couple of threads about this but they are not real clear to me and don't mention the 2006.
View 14 RepliesI did some reading on here this morning and ended up at 1A Auto looking for mirrors. I want to make sure I get the correct thing before ordering. I have a '04 250 with factory tow mirrors that are power mirror and turn signal/clearance light. I want to upgrade to the '08 style. Which of these would work? I would think either, but I'm not sure about the wiring harness?

My aftermarket bumper deleted my fog lights and I added some spotlights on the bumper. I just wired the spotlights to the fog light wiring. My switch is now messed up and I just want to wire the spotlights to a separate switch. What wires control the fog lights on the back of the headlight switch? Will I have to wire in a new hot wire to the new switch or does the headlight switch have separate hots for the headlights and foglights?
