Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: Truck Shuts Down State Inspection Machine

I have been getting inspection stickers at the same place since 07 without any problems,this time they plug her in to test and the truck stalls and the test machine locks up ,happens multiple times.
They find bent pin on OBD plug and fix but still keeps happening. We are baffled it sounds like a short somewhere but there are no codes or check engine lights on.
The only new thing on the truck is a new flatbed with led tail lights and marker lights. The blinkers flash fast from the leds could they be messing with the computer? I'm going to inspect the engine harness today to make sure there's no wires grounding I don't know what else to check...

2003 E-550 7.3L with IDM codes clear all code, do in injector buzz test P1276 and P1275. Start truck and SES light comes on. shut off truck code IDM code go to KOEF and have P1272, P1273, P1275, P1276. just replaced valve cover harness ohm wires to IDM put new IDM in. Truck shuts off while going down highway, turn key off then back on an usually starts on it own ....

I took my truck in for Maryland State inspection on Monday and got my truck back and the radio no longer works. I checked the fuse on both the back of the radio and the main fuse box and both fuses are still intact. I'm not really sure where to go from here. Any recommendations?

Can not get MIL light to stay off and car will not pass state inspection. After hooking up laptop to my 96 850GLT and using VOL-FCR the EFI-445 code comes up and also states Pulsed Secondary Air Injection System Pump Signal. Everything seems to be working properly (relays, pump etc.) and vacuum pressure around 18. I have replaced the upstream O2 sensor as my OBD II scanner said that was the problem but after that the scanner was pretty much useless as it lead me in a hundred different areas to check and is getting costly so got the VOL-FCR.

I have a 2004 6.0 powerstroke build date 07/03 when I am driving while on the throttle the glow plug light comes on then it wants to shut off rpms jump up and down sometimes it will shut off or if im coasting at idle and hit the breaks to stop and start turning the wheel it shuts off like you shut the key off my sct x4 says no communication to key this all happened out of no where went on a 100 mile trip got back home shut it off went out to leave started right up driving and about a mile it started when i let off the throttle been having a problem ever since.

I'm new to the 6.0 fords but have bought 1 its already been bullet proofed. I've put all 8 injectors in because cylinder 3 was bad. this is my issue now you can start the truck fires right up run for 30sec to 1 min and shuts of like you turn the key off starts right back with no issues and runs fine the rest of the time until you shut it off again and there are no codes. What it could be ? I have already replaced the ipr, icp, cam and crank sensors, egr o rings and the blue spring upgrade and still does it...

I have a 2000 F-250 with a 7.3l turbo diesel.
It's been running great but recently I've noticed an issue with starting.
When I turn the key and the engine starts when I release the key it's like the engine stops for just a second and then starts running again.
After it's started it doesn't seem to have any issues but I'm concerned and would like to nip it in the butt before it because of a real issue.

I have a 2006 F350 6.0L Diesel with about 72,000 miles on it. It has been the best truck ever, but just about two weeks ago it started doing something real strange. While driving, and it seems to only be at slow speeds, (idle or just accelerating), the truck will shut off the engine. And it is always in this order, it will first "pop" all the speakers real loud, then the radio will reset, (go to the AM radio and shuffle through my 6 disc changer) and then the engine will shut off.
Once I bring the truck to a stop and put it into park, it will then start back up with no problems at all. There is nothing I can seem to piece together as to when it will do it other then it seems to only be at slow speeds... Besides that, it is completely random. One day it did it four times, and then it didn't do it for the next few days at all... The only thing that has changed over last 2 weeks is that, the last few times that it has done it, it didn't kill the engine, it still popped the speakers like normal and then reset the radio, but didn't shut off the engine.

I've got a 2004 f250 4x4 crew cab that is driving me nuts. It runs great, but sporadically it will just quit running. Tach drops to zero. Engine is still turning, because it usually restarts by itself as long as I am moving over about 45. If not I can pull over, put it in park and restart it. Sometimes it sets codes, never the same ones and usually not something even related to the problem (transfer case solenoid for example). Most times it doesn't set any codes. I have changed the plugs and coil packs on all cylinders. Right now it is showing the P1000 code so I am suspicious of the pcm or the wiring to it. I think the tach is the only thing dropping out on the instruments and all the instruments are powered through the pcm.

I turn off the key and remove it. The engine shuts down but everything else stays on, the radio, heater fan, etc. I tried to search the forum but couldn't find anything about this problem. I'm guessing there is a stuck relay or a bad ignition switch.

I just recently bought my 2002 F250 Lariat with the 5.4 and 76 thousand miles. I love this truck but I've started to notice a few things with it. When i go to start the truck it sometimes starts but then instantly shuts off. When i try it again it takes a long time to crank over. This has happened in cold and warm weather. What the problem could be and things i could do to prevent it?

I have an 06' f350 6Ltr. Over 300 k. Good shape, i have owned it for about a year. My first diesel. Last week it wouldnt start, had a 1/4 tank. Read about problems with other trucks with a broken pick up on fuel pump. So i filled the tank and it started. Next morning used command start and it ran for 1 minute then shutdown. took about 5 minutes of manually turning it over and it fires up ran all day. Does this almost everyday since and now shuts down while driving after hard acceleration and surges under acceleration when on incline or underload. Changed fuel relay, fuel filters. Researched and asked around but getting mixed opinions. I am mechanically inclined but this is a little beyond my scope of trouble shooting and id rather not start throwing parts at it.

I have a 2004 6.0 133000 miles will be driving down the road will start to hesitate and looses powers and shuts off. wont start back up but if you wait 10 to 15 minutes will start up and run just fine. wont do it again. Just had new head studs put in new head gasket and egr delete 2 new injectors put in

Last night I was watching tv when my truck tried to start I thought I hit the remote start on my keys but it didn't start which I found weird. I went down stairs too see if it did anything else and it did it again it would turn over and turn over but never fire all while the keys are in my hand. At the same time the done light was stuck on and the radio went on and off. I'm pretty sure that my GEM got wet through the windshield, also Is the GEM dead or can it dry out and be ok

I have a 2001 f250 7.3L. I bought it with 192,000 miles and have driven it to 206,000 in the last 6 months. When I put it in gear, the truck will "bog" down and sometimes die. I will have to refill the transmission fluid every 2 weeks but I can't find where it's leaking.

My 05 superduty is in the shop because it won't shift in or out of 4Hi. Ford garage says I need a new transfer case shift motor, and 4wheel drive module. They said the shift motor was full of oil. I am not really up to speed on how the shift motor works, other than it bolts externally to the transfer case, that's why it confuses me about the shift motor being saturated with oil. My truck has never leaked even a drop of any type oil, ever.

All the sudden got home and now my truck wont go in park. All other gears are fine. My PRNDL on dash has always been off for the last 3 years park has always shown as reverse its never affected anything! I already checked the torq. bolts and that was not it. My shifter is very sloppy so is my steering wheel. I found a 00 whole steering column with wheel and shifter but its not a early 99 will it work or fix my no park. The guy didnt know if it would fit early 99 or my no park problem.

Last night my truck wouldnt start. Drove fine all day, started up bunch of different times. Went to go home at night. No crank, everything else works, hear the fuel pump prime windows radio everything. smacked the starter a few times but no change. Checked the fuses and relays, all appear good. So im guessing the starter or the starter solenoid, but I cant find one on the truck just something that looks like it could be it attached to the starter.

My 2010 6.4 has drifted to the right since I bought it a little over a year ago. I figured it just needed aligning, but knew I would soon have to buy tires so decided to wait and have it aligned when I replaced the tires. Put new tires on last week and had truck aligned but still drifts right. The guy at the tire shop showed me the print out from the alignment and all 4 wheels are within specs. He said he swapped tires around and it's better but still there. Not sure if he swapped front to back or left to right. After reading online, I found that this is a more common problem than I realized. I don't want to screw up a brand new set of tires.

I drive a 2000 F250 XL Super Cab LB 2WD 7.3 Powerstroke. i drive like a grandpa. No rompin on the accelerator or anything. I was leaving the house got up to about 35mph and the truck lost acceleration. Motor still running fine. I coasted onto a side road. Put it in park, killed it, started it again and same thing. Will not go into drive at all. However will go into reverse just fine and accelerate in reverse. Desperately wanting my favorite means of transportation back!
