My truck only has low beams. When you move the stalk on the colum backwords it changes nothing, when you move it forwards the low beams go out but the high beams do not come on.

View 14 RepliesI have a 2006 F-250 Super Duty (6 liter diesel). The high beams stay on unless I pull the fuse (fuse 30). It doesn't matter what position the headlight switch is in. It is like the high beam flash on the multi-function switch is stuck. It feels fine, but high beams stay on regardless of position, even with the truck off. The low beams (if in low beam when the truck is shut off) do go out as do the running lights after 15 or so seconds (normal) it's just the high beams. Also the high beam indicator light is on all the time (until I pull the fuse) and the fog lights will not come on until I pull the fuse. Should I replace the multifunction switch or look elsewhere?

I have noticed if I am on low beam with fogs on, switch to high fogs go off, switch back to low, and fogs come on but highs stay engaged until I turn off fogs, the go low beam... I have heard this has happened before with other trucks and that it was called a Bambi something? And that there was a possible fix...

In my manual, it says the 2002 has a fuse panel behind the glove box. I took glove box out but it doesn't look like a fuse panel.
I have bought here recently a 1999 F250 Superduty 4x4 with the 7.3l and my problem is my low beam headlights do not work. My high beams and park lights work but low beams do not. I have replaced the MFS and have checked all fuses and wiring and everything checks out. I can not for the life of me find any diagrams on this truck. I have power coming off of my headlight switch and going into the MFS but I do not have power coming out on the low beam circuit. Am I missing something. Really frustrated right now and I can't drive the truck or get plates on it. Also when I flip onto high beam both low beam circuit and high beam circuit coming out of the MFS light up.
View 10 RepliesI have a 2012 F-250...per DOT specs, the fog lights go out with hi-beams on. However, in my opinion, the high beams on my truck are among the worst I've seen. Low beams are OK. Is there some easy mod to keep the fogs on with the brights?
View 14 RepliesI recently installed new halo HID headlights in my 2003 f150 with HID bulbs and ballast the passenger side worked and the drivers side didn't nth lights wired exactly the same. I switched everything from the passenger to the drivers side still nothing I switched everything back to passenger side and they don't work now. I tired regular bulbs in the passenger side an it worked then on the drivers side and it worked for a split second and went out and then I retried t on the passenger side and it worked for a split second and went out a now neither are working. I checked all the fuses and their good. What the problem could be?

View 5 RepliesI have a 2001 F53 chassis Coachmen Mirada. My low beams, and only the low beams, blink off and back on ea. 2 seconds, and the low beams stay on with highs on. I have confirmed with a friend who has the identical model that the lows should go off. The dip is momentary and happens regardless of anything else. The highs don't blink and do go off when they should.
The headlight switch seems to work normally. The multi function switch does turn the highs on and off as it should. Both sides behave the same. The Daylight running lights are separate and work fine. The high and lows are 2 different bulbs. Where do you think I should start checking? With previous cars I was led to believe that a headlight that goes off meant a breaker being tripped due to a short or bad breaker. I can't find a breaker to check.
I have a 2010 prius the basic model I turned the lights and both headlights went out they only worked on high beams.
I changed the bulbs no luck they still only work on high beams checked fuses they looked good is there anything else I can check?
After spending weeks ordering parts and doing research on this issue all my attempts have not solved the issue. To reiterate the issue, the high beams work, and the low beams do not. Thus far I have attempted the following without the desired result-
1. Changed the headlights out just in case both bulbs burnt at once.
2. Changed the blinker stalk in hopes of a faulty switch.
3. Changed the headlight switch to a brand new OEM Euro style switch.
4. Checked all fuses (did this first actually).
The other night on my way home, I flipped on the high beams and the low beams didn't shut off. Flash to pass still works, and pushing in on the end of the stem turns the low beams off as well.
Having the column switch apart, is it possible this could be fixed without having to pull the steering wheel? Or, am I better off just spending the hundred dollars of so and putting in a new part?
First time driving my 'new' 2000 7.3 Ex and the high beams won't stay on for more than a minute or two. Playing with the switch in the driveway, they came on after a minute of not being run, but after throwing the switch a few more times, they wouldn't come on again. The indicator light corresponds with the high beam function. I'm thinking a relay is going bad? The switch is brand new and the bulbs are definitely working. Also, I did not get an owners manual with the truck, and the fuse diagram I found online did not match the box at my left knee.

View 1 RepliesI want to replace my headlight bulbs; I want to install 8000K in my low beams, and maybe 3000K in my hi beams. But all of the bulbs that I ever installed either; A the burnt out within few weeks (lost color), or B they stopped working.
Now, regular WHITE bulbs seem to work forever; but the color ones, burn out/break. Low quality?? I need a pair of very good 9006 8000K, and 9005 3000K. Again, but I don't want to change them in a week or two. I want them to last!!

I noticed my truck makes a high pitched whining noise. It does it at idle and while acceleration up to 40 mph or so. The pitch of the wine increases with RPM'S. It is not the cold start whine issue I have researched on YouTube.
It is in the cold or warmth. No difference. It's always there. My 2012 6.2 did not sound like this at all. I have crawled under the truck and it appears like it is coming from the transmission.
I just changed out my IAC. Truck is still idling too high. When I squeeze the host to the IAC it idles down. When I unplug the IAC the truck immediately dies.
Does the IAC talk to the the Throttle position sensor? Should this be my next part to change?

99 Buick LeSabre ... I only have one low-beam working, the other low-beam bulb went out today ... When I switch to high-beams, the high-beams come on, but I cannot turn them off via the manual light on/off switch on the door panel ... The Twilight Sentinel works properly, and will shut off the high-beams per switch setting ... During the daytime, the high-beams will just stay on till I turn off the car, manual headlight switch won't turn them off ...
View 1 RepliesI recently bought a 2003 F350 super duty dually automatic transmission 6.0 deisel 4x4. The 4x4 is not working. with the hubs in auto when i flip the switch to 4x4 high nothing happens.The same with 4x4 low putting the truck in neutral. I can only find 2 fuses using the owners manual that says anything about 4x4 and both of them check out good. Also the owners manual says when i turn on the key I should see a 4x4 light and a low range light momentarily. Neither of these lights are showing up. I don't hear any clicking or any noise of any kind when trying the 4x4.It acts like an electrical issue but not sure where to start.
