I used a buddy's trailer the other day, but on my way to work yesterday I noticed my tail lights on my truck are not working. The bulbs are fine I cant find a fuse for taillights .My blinkers work and brake lights work just no rear running lights...its gotta be a fuse but which one

View 3 RepliesI have an 02 f350 XL. The other day it rained and all of my rear lights went haywire. All problems are out back.
- Step on brakes, high mount, and lic plate lights light up with brakes.
- Turn on marker lights and the high mount lights up and the tails and lic plate lights dim.
- Marker lights on, apply brakes, and the tails and lic plates lights go out on bed, high mount activates.
- Use turn signals with markers off and all of the rear lights including high mount flash..
- Reverse lights dim or dont work at all.
I have tried a new MF switch, checked all fuses. cleaned rear frame ground. took apart brake switch and cleaned it. non tilt column but checked wires. replaced flasher. unplugged brake light switch and headlight switch, problem is still there. removed trailer relays, no luck. checked all chassis plugs. disconnected TRS.
I should mention i have 12v cummins swap and a pcs with standalone harness. no problems over the last few months since swap until it rained last monday.
Went to hook up my trailer today and both the trailer plugs do not work. I checked the fuses and all is well. They worked fine the other day but now they don't work at all. I confirmed this by hooking up to another trailer and nothing. Also got another truck and went to trailers and it worked.
My truck has 19000 miles so it's practically new. I have never seen this. I called dealer but they can't see it til next week and I need the trailer brakes and lights. Where could I look or what could the problem be?
I have recently put a platinum tailgate on my 2012 off a 2014 and for some reason the camera no longer works just wonder why this is and how I fix it....

I recently noticed some electrical problems with my truck. The doors don't auto lock and my truck can be started with a standard key and does not require a chipped key. I tried looking at the setup menu and I noticed that the only menu item is the language selection and that doesn't change. I am not getting codes and my truck is running good overall.
View 1 RepliesI bought a 2004 F250 SD XLT 4X4 crew cab which was a a roll over. The cab was replaced with a KR cab, its believed this was from a 2 wheel drive truck. My issue, the electric 4x4 does not work on the truck I have to get out and put it on manually.
Also, the ABS light is on the dash is on and the ABS doesn't work. The overhead panel doesn't work either. A friend of mine believes it could be a wiring harness issue but isn't sure replacing it will have any effect on the 4x4 and the ABS.
My reverse sensors have stopped working. As soon as you put in reverse, the on off button will light up and be telling you that it is off. What is going on and how do I correct this?

View 8 RepliesThis morning on my way to work in my 2012 F-250 I turned the heater on, controlling the temp from the temperature control. When the truck got up to temperature the heater fan would not come on accordingly to bring the inside of the truck up to the temperature that I had selected on the controls, so I tried operate the fan manually and it still didn't turn on. Once at work I didn't have really have time to look at anything with it, I did however shut the truck off and start it again and still nothing. Then after I got off work, driving home still nothing until I was about half way home then all of the sudden it started working again. I'd sure hate to have this happen again later this winter when the temperature gets below zero outside.
View 3 Replies2013 F250 Lariat. 4000 miles total on it. over half are a highway.Just wrapped up a trip up to Canada and back with work, not towing anything, and noticed on straight highway, i need to keep the wheel turned at roughly between 12 o'clock and 1 o'clock... to go straight. Much of the time.
Some of the time, its normal, straight and true, but after 400 miles straight, when my left arm is tired because of holding tension into the steering system to go straight.......
Wondering if there is known steering drift with our trucks (like my dodge hemi had prior, which needed a stabilizer added from hell bent steel) or if this may be an issue. Not looking to bring it the hour back to the dealer, for him to tell me its just fine, because its heading true at the moment.
Was working on a friends 06 F-250 and was trying to wire in some plow headlights. I must have shorted something out and the Passenger side low beam doesn't work. The high beam works and the drivers side high and low work. The fuse under the dash is good. From looking around, is it possible that the multi function switch on the column got shorted out? Any way I can test? Any other things I can check?
View 13 RepliesI have the radio with all the bells and whistles, and SYNC. I can't get any mp3 player to work or any portable device to work. I do have the usb port and line in port right on the front of the radio. When I push the MEDIA button I do not have a "line in" choice on the left as it say it should in the book. Is there something I am missing???? Oh and this is a 2009 F-350
View 8 RepliesAll of a sudden my T/H doesn't work while I am driving. If I stop and put in park, I can press the button and it will go into T/H. Once I am driving, it won't go out of T/H, and visa-versa. Is this a sensor issue or something more serious? The tranny works fine in either situation, downshifts correctly.
View 2 RepliesI have a 1999(03/98 Production Date) F350 DRW Dump 5.4L Reg Cab. I just replaced the ECM (Drivers side Kick plate) with a used ECM
1. Crank but no start, gauges worked.
2. Replaced the ECM (Drivers side Kick plate) with a used ECM
3. Truck now starts.
4. None of the Instrument gauges work. No gas gauge, no speedo, no tach, no bat no odometer or trip odometer. Not one single gauge works.
Does the ECM need to flashed for the cluster to work or might it be a separate issue?
Like most older superduty trucks my overhead console doesn't work. I removed it and got the thing apart. Low and behold there were 4 of the resistors loose in the plastic housing. Looking for a diagram that shows the location of these so I can resolder them? My truck is an 04 lariat with sunroof which seems to be different than non sunroof trucks.
View 2 RepliesJust picked up a 99 F-350 V-10 today. Decently clean, works well. It'll be an occasional tow vehicle for hauling my car to car shows.
Anyhow, on the way home, I couldn't get the cruise control to work. I've read about the brake pressure switch problem before joining today. I can hit the on button and set it, and the cruise indicator lights up in the dash and will stay on, but will not hold the speed.
From what I've read, I can't seem to determine if the brake pressure switch will allow the light to come on or not. Should I be looking elsewhere for the problem?
Next fix - overhead console. That one seems simple.
I just bought a 2000 super duty F250 Triton V10 and the auto door locks don't work. They try to work as in tug an eighth of an inch but won't successfully engage or disengage. Thought it might just be the switch inside the door handle but they don't work on the passenger side etc either.
Also two days after I bought it I found out first hand that these motors spit out spark plugs and i had to replace the plug and coil. I was told that there is a tool that I can tap out the heads with and then put inserts in so i no longer have this problem. Where do i get that tool and how much are they? Is it true that pulling the plugs can strip out the heads because i bought all new plugs for the truck and was then told that it will strip out the heads.
How many quarts of oil does this engine hold and should i use a certain type of oil? It has high miles but purrrr'ss like a kitten.
I have an '03 F250 and the second position of the blower switch doesn't work. The first, third, and fourth are all fine.
I bought a Motorcraft YH-1670 blower switch, but can't figure out where it's located?
I looked behind the glove box, but didn't see it there. I did not remove the screws to the cover behind the glove box because I wanted to first confirm where the switch is located.
