View 13 RepliesI have the Ford plastic drop in bed liner, and being up in the salt belt in CT, i want to take it out just to see how things look under there. Dont want to be surprised later on if i keep waiting. How do you take this thing out? Just pull the sides out from under the bed rails? You dont have to take the plastic trim that goes on top of the bed sides off do you?
Also, i want to get rid of this thing soon. The best thing to replace the plastic liner? i dont want to just leave it metal, but my dad has had a spray in "rhino liner" in his 04 ranger since the day he bought it and it has held up great. so i am thinking something along that line. How much it would be to have a spray in liner installed?
I heard today that, to remove the engine, the cab has to be raised?
View 13 RepliesI got a new headlamp switch for my 2016 SD. I have the XL work truck with no fog lights. I recently added fog lights and an OEM fog light wire harness. I also got an OEM switch that pulls out to activate the fig lights because the stock switch in my truck operates the headlamps only. What I can't figure out is how to remove the switch.
Here's a photo of the new switch .....
My truck has factory tint on all 4 corners as well as the rear window. I do quite a bit of night driving and I'd like to remove the tint on the drivers window as well as the passenger window. Is this even possible? I fear the glass was 'smoked' when manufactured and going back to completely clear glass will require a totally new window.

View 6 RepliesMy grandad passed away a few months back, and I'm about to get his truck ready to sell/trade for my grandmother. The truck is an 09 f150 with only 18k miles, but it's got a couple minor issues like soft brakes from sitting, I'll post those problems in the f150 section if i have any issues fixing. He liked to leave the extended cab windows cracked in the summer. Problem was, he would forget to raise them, sometimes weeks at a time. He was 88 and suffering from dementia. This leads me to my question : How do I QUICKLY get rid of the musky smell? I came home this evening, and went to put it in the garage, and the windows were fogged up from the inside, and it smells awful. The windows haven't been left down in at least 6 months. This sucks, because this truck is flawless other than this. Dad had put open boxes of baking soda in it, but it hasn't worked.
View 11 RepliesLong story short, ended up spilling a small cup of watered down paint in the bed. Of course some ran out the bottom as well but I'm most concerned with the bed. How to remove the paint? Since it was so diluted I figured it would wash right out at the car wash with high pressure.
View 6 RepliesNo special extraction tools are required, just a small jeweler screwdriver.
Push the screwdriver into the back of the connector, to push the Red terminal locking bar loose, then extract from the front.
How to remove the side mirrors (top and bottom) on my 2016 F250? I don't need to remove the entire assembly (off the door), just need to get behind the mirrors themselves.

View 8 RepliesIn my attempt to remove the auto locking hub on my 2000 F-350 4x4, I found that it would not slide out. I removed the retaing clip and the hub should of be able to come out with a couple wiggles, it seems to have seized inside the hub. I tapped it with a rubber mallet on all sides. Any thoughts as to other alternative methods of removing the hub locker ?
View 14 RepliesSince yesterday, every time I turn the key off and remove it from the ignition the truck just keeps running. Engine, radio, according and everything just like the key was still there. When I press the unlock button it shuts everything down. It is a 2014 F250 with 4500 miles on it. I don't know if I did something or what but I am confused.
