Door chime /seat belt or key chime comes on random and frequently while driving. With seat belt attached. Bushings in shift handle are worn out. Could this be the culprit? I'd kind of prefer to fix the problem before I disconnect the chime...

The belt on this one comes out of the top of the seat, not from against the door.
The top mounting point on my seatbelt is squeaking like crazy. The guide for the seat belt is rubbing on the piece it bolts to because the plastic tabs on the plastic cover have worn out. Where to get a new one of these? Its just the plastic triangle shaped cover that goes over the seatbelt mount.

A friend found a wiring diagram and installed a toggle switch in the drivers kick panel that basically cuts the power to the chime. His F-150 was a different year than mine and I don't know if the F-150's and F-250 use the same color wiring.
I want to do the same thing but need to know which wire that operates the chime. Which wire or have a wiring diagram for a 2006 F-250.
Just bought a 2010 f250 and I noticed that the warning chime works intermittently. I think this speaker or whatever it is also makes the turn signal noise because that sometimes is silent also. Where this thing is?

Issue: door ajar light stays on, power locks on driver and passenger door don't work, radio stays on after truck is off an door is opened.
Events leading up to issue: went to temporarily hook up a wolo dixie horn to see if it worked. Wanted to do it fast so I took + cable, tied one end to the battery terminal and then connected other end to dixie horn relay. I then grounded both negative wires to the truck. One ground on the frame the other I temporarily wrapped around a one of factory ground mounts under the dash. Immediately after doing this the problems stated above started.
How can I fix this. I need to fix this by tomorrow. I have a guy from Craigslist coming to look at the truck. Now the 4x4 issue.
Truck has zf6 manual and the electric 4wd select ****. Just thought I'd list this if it was needed to be known for solutions.
4x4 high light stays on in while 2wd all the time. 4 low will stay on after switching back to 4 high and 2wd but it goes out if I ether stop the truck shut it off then restart it. or back up and slam on the brakes. Also when in 4 high the front driveshaft won't spin. However It will spin when in 4 low.
Another random issue I'd thought I'd just list while I'm writing this.... Cruise control does not work. And when I press the "on" button and the "coast" button at the same time the horn honks.
I have a 2005 F250 King Ranch 4X4 Diesel and now experiencing an issue with the front seat belts
The problem is while being worn sometimes they will not let you lean forward- they act like you have a foot on the brake pedal and are locked-you have to lean back and forth several times to get them to let out if reaching for something on the dash etc..
I have searched the forum and found many issues where the seat belts stopped retracting- but my issue seems to be unique in that the seat belt will at times 'Not Let Out" when you lean forward.
2001 F250. My drivers side seat belt buckle randomly releases and it's getting worse. Any sources on a new one or used even. Also, what other vehicles may have the same part number if I go used.

Most of the time, the dome light operates as usual- close the door and the light stays on for a bit before shutting off. View 13 RepliesOk I have an 09 Camry and the door chime is driving us nuts when we unbuckle our seat belt. My husband says it chimes 45x!! How can we disconnect it...tried something I saw online and it was a no go for an 09. My mechanic thinks he is going to have to cut the wire or something-he thinks disconnecting fuse will disconnect other stuff.
View 3 RepliesI bought a crew from a dealer, all the dome lights and cargo lights had the bulbs removed, so i put them back in and of coarse they all stayed on after you close the door, plus the door ajar light stays on when you are driving. I do notice the radio shuts off when you open the door after you turn off the ignition. Does that work on the same door switch, eliminating those?
Also are there switches on the rear doors also? Noticed that the radio isn't effected when you open a rear door. I tried to get the dealer to look at it a day after i took it home, a ford dealer at that, and they told me they tried to figure it out , and couldn't before they sold me the truck. Doesn't say much for their service department.
I have a 2003 Ford F-450 with the 7.3 Powerstroke. The problem I am having is the dome light stays on, the map lights will not turn on, I have no door ding with the key in the ignition, and the radio wont turn on. If I press the clock button on the radio the clock comes on but the radio will not come on when I press the power button. What it may be? I already hosed the door latches with lubricant and that changed nothing. I checked all the fuses they are good.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2008 F450. What may be going on with my truck. In the past the truck would blow the fuse for the door locks. Currently the display is showing wiring fault with no trailer attached, the horn is not working and the cruise control has stopped working. I've covered the basics and checked all relays and fuses and haven't found a faulty one yet. I'm thinking bad ground or possibly bad GEM module???? I've read and read topics and am more confused as to what it could be now than when I started.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2000 f250 V10 CC 4x4 long bed. The rubber fuel line that has a quick disconnect to attach to the fuel filter along frame is leaking. This is on the filter side going to engine. Ford tells me fuel line not available. Dorman products tech assist can't tell me which connector of there's will fit my truck.
